Now for the stretching part. This is the position that I usually sit in to do my “Comic Stretching”. It pulls quite a bit on my hamstrings and lower back. I have a ton of pain and resistance in my lower back (especially my left side) so I do this slow, continuous stretch to try and loosen up those under worked muscles.
Like I said earlier. I do WAY TOO MUCH sitting and laying down. This stretch will help me get some flexibility back into my lower back and legs.
So, to do this stretch properly, scoot your butt as close to the wall as possible and try to extend your legs up the wall. You want to try and evenly space out your legs and try to get the to touch the wall on all parts of your legs. When you are in a position, similar to the image, but with your butt against the wall, just sit there and try to relax. Let the stretch do the work for you. Maybe it’s a good time for you to read a comic, or this blog. Either way, be safe and don’t push yourself to far to fast, you wouldn’t want to pull a muscle or tear a ligament.
