Everyone always tells me that Xavier and Ezra look exactly alike so I wanted to compare all kids at age 2. I could always tell the difference. First picture is Ezra, second is Xavier, third is Brooklyn and last is Abigail.

What a year!
What a great yet busy year. We had our ups and downs and we have been blessed.
We were lucky that when Mike lost his job he got a new one quickly, even though it was stressful getting there and not knowing what was going to happen. It has been a great job for him. I sometimes hate the 12 hour shifts, but at least we can cover our bills and eat. Not much else, but as long as you make enough to survive is great. I like this company. We were able to go to Snowbird for the work party and try as many as we had time for rides they had. Maybe if we go next year we can get more. It has good benefits and even though he is working the holidays this year, the pay will be great.
The kids are doing good with school. Abigail has learned cursive and is still loving math. Brooklyn is loving first grade and is going to extra classes to help with her reading. Xavier is doing two preschools. One is a joy school and the other is an online preschool. Which he has learned a lot, now if I can just get him to write his name. Ezra is learning and talking a lot. He will sing the alphabet and can count to ten. He turns 2 in a week.
I have started school again. I try to study everyday but sometimes it is hard when all my kids are home. I am hoping to work so we can afford to move out of our apartment, but we shall see. Just need to get through the classes first and pray that I pass.
I am hoping 2016 is as good as 2015 or even better.

Once again it has been a long time. Life just keeps passing quickly.
Mike is still liking his job at IM Flash. The 12 plus hours a day are hard. He works Sunday, Monday and Tuesday and depending if he is working days or graveyard he works on Wednesday or Saturday. It is nice him making more, and hopefully someday we can get into a house. He is going to have a sleep study soon to see if he has sleep Apnea.
I am doing good, just trying to work on my cross stitching. and keeping up with 4 kids. My grandma Smith passed away in April. It was hard but she is now with grandpa Smith again. The middle of April she had a stroke and was given the option to be on a feeding tube and live in a rest home for the rest of her life or just go home and let herself pass away. She decided that she wanted to go home. We all got a turn to go stay with her and take care of her. It was so hard to see her that way.
Abigail finished out her 2nd grade year and is looking forward to go to 3rd grade, she even got the teacher that she wanted. She loves to read and loves math. She turns 8 next week, so we are getting ready for her baptism. She is really excited. I bought her a white dress and a tent sale for $10 it was originally $100. We got her in swim lessons this year and she loves it. She will jump in pool and swims under water. I hope she will keep it up. She is going to do fall soccer, I also got her in a soccer camp at the end of July.
Brooklyn finished kindergarten and to her excitement her teacher is moving up to first grade with her. I guess there was a few teachers that wanted to trade grades and her teacher was one of them. She is like I already know and love my teacher. I really like her teacher too, so it is fun. She is excited that she gets to eat school lunch next year and stay all day. She played soccer in the fall and when I say play she kind of stood there and looked around and sometimes went and kicked the ball. But she loves it and wants to do it more, she will play again in the fall. She also did swim, but didn't catch on like Abigail did.
Both girls are making lots of friends in our neighborhood and are always out playing, I sometimes have to take them water so they will not get dehydrated.
Xavier loved doing preschool and is excited to do Joy School again next year, with a few different people. He is also going to do UPStart which is a preschool program by the state. He just has to do it for 15 minutes a day on the computer. He loves his bike this year and rides it everywhere. He has decided he wants to do baseball and so we got him in a summer program that will teach him t-ball. If he really likes it then we will sign him up for spring baseball. He is excited to turn 5 and keeps telling us he will get glasses like his sisters at age 5. I said we will see. He has friends to but doesn't like to be bossed around by them. So he will come in when people start bossing him around. He is growing like a weed he is already in 5T clothes.
Ezra he is one of the funniest yet stubborn boys. If he doesn't want to do something he will scream. He will be 18 months old on Monday. We are still taking him to nursery on Sunday. He is learning new words all the time. His new favorite thing is when you ask him for a five he will come up and lick your hand then walk away laughing. One day he decided he was done with his high chair, we let that last for one day then when he was climbing on the table we put a stop to it. He loves going outside and walking around the house we are trying to teach him he can't go in the road though. He loves going places and if either Mike and I put on shoes he will get his and say go bye bye.
Hopefully I will post again in a few days with pictures.

Never say never
After my baby sitting job last year, I was like never again. But back in September I went to the bus stop to get Brooklyn from the kindergarten bus. A little boy got off, but his parents were not there. Since I have talked to them a few times, I decided to walk the boy home. As we were walking there his dad pulled up. He said that their babysitter just decided she couldn't watch their kids anymore and if I knew anyone on a temporary basis. I said I could do it until they found someone. The kids are both older, plus it was only 2-3 times a week. 5 months later I am still watching the kids. I find out next month if I will keep baby sitting or if they will move. I won't mind either way the kids get along really well with mine, and like I said it is only a couple of times a week.

new job
The end of December we found out Mike's job of the last two and a half years was going to relocate. They were going to lay off the majority of the people. Only took 2-3 guys with them. So we started the long journey of looking for a new job.
Mike had a few interviews that basically sucked. They lasted about 10 minutes max. He then had a phone interview with IM flash. It was supposed to last a half hour but ended up lasting over an hour. They then called him in for a 3 hour interview. Problem was it was scheduled the exact same time as one of my old roommates weddings. Luckily a sister in my ward was able to come and baby sit our kids. Problem with the job he was interviewing for needed to start the middle of February which would of made us lose the severance package. But when the middle of February came and went we knew that wasn't going to happen. But we still hadn't heard from them.
A couple of days later Mike sent me a text to not make dinner that night, and that he would call me. When he called he said that he got the job at IM flash and that he was starting the beginning of March which worked out perfect with his last job.We were so excited.
His first day was today and he said he thinks he will like it. We found out his schedule today. He will be doing shift work 6:30-6:30 switching from days to graveyards every 4 months. He will start with graveyard. He works Sunday through Tuesday and then every other Saturday. I hope it works out.

Happy Birthday Ezra
I can't believe my baby is one. Here are a few pictures of him since my last blog. Boy am I a slacker. Hopefully I will have more posts sooner than later.
He is usually a happy boy.
He found my box of pears and decided he needed to eat one.
Showing me how he can stand up.
He does cry sometimes.
He really has a cute personality
He got one bottom tooth and one top one first then the others grew in was so cute.
He loves his dad. As soon as Mike gets home Ezra will go up to him and follow him around.
This is how the boys did temple square. At least he got a nap I guess.
He loves the fan at Grandma's house. He played with it for a half hour.

Just call me slacker
I have been such a slacker lately. Summer was busy and fun and now Abigail has been back to school for a week now. Brooklyn is starting kindergarten tomorrow. Ezra is growing like a weed. He is crawling everywhere and is already pulling up on furniture. Xavier is getting big too, he wants to go to preschool, but it isn't happening this year. I am going to do a joy school for him with my neighbor. Mike and I are also good, just the same old stuff as always. Here are some pictures.
They are out of order but that is okay
Abigail on the first day of school. I said smile and this is what I got.
Xavier and Ezra waiting for the school bus.
My very happy boy.
One of his favorite places to crawl
I was in the kitchen cooking dinner when I heard him whining. I come in and he had a net on his head.
Playing with his sisters ponies.
Helping me fold laundry.
He fell in the street. After I said not play in it.
Hiking with family.
First time in shopping cart he was chill the whole time.
Brooklyn's new glasses
Brooklyn was sick all last week. She took many naps.
At the res in Delta he loved the water and the sand.
Before and after her tooth fell out
Tasting Popsicle for first time he loved it.
Brooklyn got her ears pierced for her birthday
Abigail doing chores
Cuddling under blankets

Lately
It has been about a year since I really wrote and more than just about Ezra's birth. I also just posted pictures so if you want to skip over this post and go to that.
Mike is still working at Aribex. He has been working overtime again, so he is gone a lot. I feel better with it this time then last time. At least I am not pregnant now, and it is also starting to get warmer outside. He will also cook dinner on the weekends since I cook all week. Ezra is starting to like him more and won't scream the whole time I am gone now.
I am doing good, I healed from the c-section really well. I had a neighbor that thought it would take me longer. Now I am just trying to lose weight. I have been making freezer meals with some of my friends. I am also working on my kids Christmas stockings that I am cross stitching at first I thought I would get it all done in a year now, I am thinking it will take a couple of years. So I am going to make Ezra's next.
Abigail has a couple of more months in first grade. She is loving first grade, she only plays with boys there too. She claims one of them is her boyfriend. Last year she had a boy that liked her too, and would give her flowers everyday on the bus. I must have a cute girl. She needed extra help with her reading this year. So she is in a reading recovery program. She has learned a lot since she has started the program. If I am reading something she will come up and start reading it.
Brooklyn has been in preschool all year. At our elementary school they have a high risk program that kids can test into. I took Brooklyn and she tested into it. She has learned so much this year. Though she is still behind in some things. Brooklyn loves to be outside. She will get home from school at 12 she comes in to eat and then she is outside playing until Mike comes home. She has a few neighborhood friends that she runs around with. I just tell her as long as I can see her from any of our windows she can be out there.
Xavier is growing up so fast. He talks so much, which is nice because he can tell me what he wants. Whenever I tell him we are going somewhere he will either say YAY! or I don't want to. Sometimes the I don't want to means he needs to throw himself to the floor and scream. We are trying to deal with the 3 year old tantrums. I usually tell him to stop or he gets to go to bed early. After a few times of going to bed early he stops for me now. He is still not potty trained, I am going to get Ezra on a good schedule and then do it.
Ezra is growing so fast. He is over 12 pounds and 24 inches long. He loves to smile and make the normal baby noises. He also will tract people with his eyes it surprised his doctor at his two month check up. Sometimes when I lay him on his tummy he will roll over to his back. It shocked me at first because I didn't think they did it that early. He is sleeping a stretch of 7 hours a night. He also loves going to bed about 8. It is sad seeing how fast my last baby is growing.

recent pictures
Here are some recent pictures of my kids. They are growing so fast.
One of my favorite pictures of him
My big helper, whenever I cook he is in there trying to help.
Xavier had a bloody nose in the middle of the night. He was mad about it and wouldn't eat until I cleaned him up.
I went shopping with a friend and poor Ezra had to have all the food on him.
He is such a happy boy.
Abigail and Brooklyn adore Ezra. They are always giving him hugs and kisses.
This is how Xavier relaxes.

Long time..had a baby
I haven't written a post forever. I will try to get better. But this one is going to be all about Ezra's birth story and the long days following at the hospital. My blood pressure was slowly going up and since Mike and I are done having kids we decided to go with a repeat c-section and get my tubes tied. We went in Monday morning about 6:15. I really didn't sleep the night before. We got there, they gave me an iv and got everything set up in the computer. They said it would be a few hours because they were already doing one. But they finished with the first one quick. About 7:30 they took me back to the room to give me the spinal tap and get me ready for surgery. I was freezing cold. But it went quickly and easily. Soon the doctor came in and they finally let Mike in. He said it was a long 20 minutes of waiting. I really couldn't feel anything other than the touch. Ezra didn't want to come out the doctor had to grab him a few times and he would twist to go back in. They finally got him out and I was just waiting for the first cry. I finally heard it, he has a healthy set of lungs. I got to see him for a little bit before he headed to nursery. He was grunting a lot so they had to give him tests to make sure he was okay. In the meantime, my doctor tied my tubes and stitched me up. I just laid their holding back tears and tried to not throw up. They finally took me back to my room. They had to do vitals and they said that I was so cold that they had to add a heater to my bed. I wanted to sleep, but I also wanted to see my boy. After an hour we headed down to the recovery floor. As I was getting checked in down there my husband got to go see Ezra get his first bath. He of course didn't take pictures. I waited for another hour to even get to see Ezra.
When they first brought him to me I thought that he was so tiny. He was also so beautiful to me
I think this is the hardest recovery that I have ever had with all 4 of my kids. The first day I got really hot and felt like I was going to pass out. They took my bp it was low and my heart rate was really fast. They had me lay with my feet up for awhile. I was also very cold to the touch the whole day and couldn't stay awake. That night I started getting really weird cramps that would go from my right shoulder down to my stomach. They would make me curl up into a ball. The nurse kept giving me more pain medicine to get rid of them. They finally went away about 4 in the morning. Though the stomach cramps stayed the whole next day. While all this pain was going on the decided to take my blood count it came back low enough that they decided to do a blood transfusion. After the first transfusion they took my blood again and it was still low. So they decided to give me another one. It went up a little, but doctor decided to keep me an extra day and was put on iron pills. Wednesday I finally convinced the nurses that I really needed to shower. I was lucky enough to take one with the nurse in the room with me. But at least I got one. Just sitting up made me really dizzy and not feeling good. Luckily my husband was home with other kids so I could sleep as much as possible.
Ezra came in one morning clinging on his pacifier. It was so cute. Tuesday they took Ezra to get some testing and it came back that he was at a med. level for Jaundice they took it Thursday morning and he was a lot higher. So I had to supplement and he had to go under the bili lights for the day. Luckily that worked and my milk finally came in at the same time. He came to my room only to nurse on Thursday it was a long day. Friday Morning I finally got to come home. I was so excited. I fed him and then I ate. I got us ready to go before my husband got there to pick me up. It was so nice to get out of the hospital.
He has been a joy to have home his brother and sisters love it. So far he has peed on us 3 times. But he is overall doing good other than not wanting to sleep at night. I am doing okay other than lack of sleep and in pain once in awhile. This morning was first stressful we had to get kids to school. Ezra had kept me up until 4 and about 7:45 I woke up and kids had to be on bus by 8:35 I had not had a pain pill since 10:30 night before so I had a hard time even moving. But luckily my husband was home to help.
