Late Post-blessing day

Austin was blessed in our church 2 months ago, and I am just now blogging about that special day!

Love Me some Independance Day!

4th of July has always been one of my FAVORITE holidays.
I do love my country and the freedom we have, but I also love the family traditions that come along with it.

Parades are a must! We usually go to Provo, but it was jam packed the night before so we hit up the Park City parade...it sucked! But, it was still fun to be with the fam and see how Austin liked his first parade.

with cousin Nora!

We always have a big BBQ at Uncle Brian and Aunt Nickie's with the whole Farnsworth clan complete with the "pasture of fire"-a grand show of fireworks.

Watching the fireworks.  Yes, Austin is wearing sun glasses.  We were getting hit with debris and mom was worried about baby's eyes! :)

During the day, we did a little swimming in Grandma Chadwick's pool.

After the 4th, we took a trip down to St. George
We saw Marry Poppins, and Thoroughly Modern Millie at Tuachan. A-MAZ-ING!

On the way home we stopped in Beaver. My dad grew up there so of course we had to stop at the cemetary to see Grandpa and the home where he grew up in.

We love holidays in this family!!

4 month baby!

This month has been a big one in mile stones! I feel like Austin isn't a newborn "bump on a log" baby anymore. He has a strong personality and wants to show it to the world! He is very strong willed and at times can be a little on the stubborn side! At the same time he is still so sweet and smiley.

At four months Austin can:

+roll over within 5 seconds! This took him a month to figure out but once he did, he turns fast!

+can turn over, but can't seem to turn back so he screams until someone picks him up!

+doesn't completely hate tummy time now

+sleeps on his side, which really helped with his flat head.

+has learned how to squak! Yes squak! Not scream, not cry, not giggle but a really loud obnoxious squak! He sounds like a crow.

+weighs a whooping 14 pounds! Only in the 15th percentile...such a little guy!

+but he has jumped up from the 25th I the 40th percentile in height!

+ smiles constantly and sometimes giggles...unless the camera is on then he just stares.

+loves to watch his daddy play the guitar and his mommy play the piano, recently he has tried to reach forward and play it himself. We have a future musician here!!

+still will spend a good amount of times staring at his dad... Without blinking I might add!

+loves to be outside! When he's fussy we go into the backyard and look at the flowers. Magically he stops screaming!

+has realized he can make a gigantic mess when in the bath by flinging his arms and legs in all directions

+can sit up for about 10 seconds but LOVES to sit in his bumbo!

+grabs anything and everything in reach and most of those items ends up in his mouth!

+wants to wiggle out of his swing...straps are coming on!

+is obsessed with his toes! We put sandals on him and it was like a new built in toy. He thought they were so cool!

+has started solids... Rice and oatmeal cereal. So far so good!

This is such an exciting time! It seems like Austin does something new everyday! It has been a blast to see him grow and learn

We love you baby Austin! :)
