PICTURES...by Ashley
So my wonderful sister-in-law, Ashley took some amazing pictures of my kids. I love the way that they turned out! She is so talented-thanks Ash! These are Jensyn's two-year-old pictures and Hurley's newborn pictures.

TOU Half Marathon
Yesterday, we went and watched my mom, Jason, Travis, and Carol run in the Top Of Utah Half Marathon! It was very exciting! It was so cold. When we got ready at 7:00 a.m. we all dressed in shorts and sandals. By the time we got out of the car in Providence (near Logan) it was a 58 degrees. I worried about my two small children and wondered where my brain was. We wrapped our kids up in a Levi blanket and headed for the finish line. Jason and Travis ran the race together and finished close together. Travis took FIRST in his division and this was his FIRST half marathon. Jason took third in his division. Carol ran 8 1/2 minute miles and she had not trained since July-WOW! My mom did amazing. She had a HUGE cheering section. When she got by us we all clapped and yelled for her. Jason started running with her to keep her going-I guess. It was an incredible experience. It almost makes me want to run-almost.
Oh and on a side note, Darwin and I took Hurley to the doctor on Wednesday because Hurley had not pooped since last Saturday, well he finally did-at the race-all over-he filled up his diaper-pants-shirt-and blanket. Darwin used all of the wipes we had with us to clean him up. I was quite excited that Hurley had FINALLY pooped and my little baby was naked (except for a diaper) for the majority of the race. Again, where was my brain-I did not bring spare clothes for Hurley?!?!

A Princess Party
Today was Delaney's birthday party. It was a princess party. All of the girls wore princess dresses. Belle came and painted their fingernails. Jensyn got a necklace and chapstick, made a bracelet, and played games. She loved it-thanks for inviting her Delaney!

A Little Too Late
On Saturday night Darwin and I took the kids to the Balloon Glow (part of the Balloon Festival in Eden). In the newspaper it said that the Glow started at 9:30 p.m. We had a lot going on Saturday but thought that we would be able to enjoy it anyway. We arrived at 9:30 and sadly the "glow" was over. We tried to make the most of the situation (I'm bothered though). So we watched a fight between a man and a guy directing traffic (I think he was part of the ROTC) and we sat in traffic. We did get a few pictures of our family. So to anyone that wants to go next year, don't show up on time-be early.

Wii would like to play.

Darwin has been wanting a Nintendo Wii for the longest time. We have looked and looked and could never find one for sale. (Because stores would get a limited amount and they would sell very quickly.) Well, the day after Hurley was born Darwin went to Wal-Mart to get some much needed supplies for me and the baby. He (for some unknown reason) checked to see if there were any Wii's in-stock. There were!!!! So Darwin ended up buying THREE!?!? Who needs three Wii's? No one I know. Darwin is keeping ONE and we are selling the rest. So if any of you are in the same position that we were in, wanting a Wii but not able to find one (or three) let us know then you can get one (or two) from us. The package includes a Wii Console, 2 controllers, 2 nunchuks, Wii Play, and Wii Sports (9 games in all). If nobody is interested we will return them to the store.

Roy Days Parade
So this morning Darwin and I woke up our two sleeping kids (what were we thinking?) to go to Roy City's Parade. It turned out to be quite fun. Darwin is a huge fan of parade, fireworks, etc. (anything that resembles the Fourth of July). Jensyn really enjoyed herself.

I thought this was too cute, when Roy High's Band and
Color Guard came by, Jensyn covered her heart.

Hurley slept through the entire parade. It was so loud too-with all of the sirens going off.

Jensyn was so quick to get the candy. She would wait until the float that threw the candy was passed her then she'd run out and get the candy.

She got over a pound of candy and she even shared with the little girl next to us .

I'm glad that we went to the parade. We did leave before it was over though. At 11:00 (the parade had been going for an hour and a half!) I was hot and I knew that I would have a hungry baby soon.
