Bears

Dave and I had the opportunity to go hunting with my dad over the weekend to see and photograph some black bears. The first night we were there Dave and I saw two bears from our tree stand. First we saw a brown bear and then a bit later we saw a black bear. It was awesome to be able to watch them! We had a great weekend and loved being in the mountains! Thanks dad!

Not Our Usual Anniversary and Then Some.

I know it's been a while since we have made a post. Dave and I went to St. George to celebrate our fourth wedding anniversary and had plans to go on several mountain biking trails. One of these trails was the Bear Claw Poppy which we attempted to do in December but couldn't due to the weather so we were excited to be able to ride it. Well I don't know if I would call it exciting. We arrived at a point in the trail called The Three Fingers of Death. Dave and I separated taking different routes seeing that he is more experienced than I am. I arrived at an unexpected difficulty in the trail and the next thing I know I am flying off my bike. I hit the ground and look down at my arm and I realize that my elbow is dislocated. I look down to see Dave still on his bike and I start yelling, "Dave Dave, my arm is broken!" As soon as he heard me he dropped his bike and I see him sprinting towards me! Dave had to push both of our bikes up the trail as we hiked back to the trailhead. On the way I got my elbow to pop back into place and felt more relieved. We went straight to the hospital where I got an x-ray and found out that I had broken a bone in my elbow :( I didn't realize how hard it would be to only be able to use one arm. I had to coach Dave through putting ponytails in my hair among all the other things I needed help with. Through this I could tell how much Dave loves me and cares about me! I am so thankful for him! Happy Anniversary Dave!

A while ago Dave and I just couldn't wait to go hiking despite the fickle weather. We went on a hike up the west side of Grandeur Peak. There was still a lot of snow but it was so fun to get out and go on a hike!

Other than that we have kept busy. Dave just finished up the semester at school and has the summer off. He is working hard at work and at his internship. I am so thankful he is such a hard worker and has so much determination to do so well in all the things he does!
