T cell–based therapies have made great progress in recent years, but targeting solid tumors still comes with a particular set of challenges, including tumor escape, a suppressive microenvironment, limited persistence, and the need to balance potency with safety. At this year’s 7th TCR-Based Therapies Summit in Boston, I’ll be co-hosting a workshop with Peggy Sotiropoulou from T-knife Therapeutics to discuss different engineering strategies for TCR-based therapies. I'll be also sharing how Captain T Cell is approaching these challenges in novel and innovative ways. Excited to be part of the Summit and look forward to insightful discussions!

It was a lot of fun presenting at this year’s Science Slam at Bayer Campus Day in Berlin ✨ I was showcasing the toolbox technologies of Captain T Cell for T cell therapies in a simple and accessible way. Cancer cells use a variety of molecular mechanisms to evade our immune system and stay "hidden". But with the right tools, T cells can recognize, target, and eliminate them. And in the case of my presentation, with the right pair of glasses :'D Had such a great time doing this. Thanks a lot to my sweet colleagues from MyoPax, NeutroGen Therapeutics and Bayer Co.Lab for the little push and the support! Oh and btw, If you still have a pair of those old funky 3D glasses at home, try and take a closer look to spot the hidden cancer cells 👓

Yesterday’s #Berlin Campus Day was a great reminder of what makes the Bayer Co.Lab community special. It’s about connection, exchange, and creating space where science, entrepreneurship, politics, and industry meet - exactly what Bayer Co.Lab is here to catalyse. The day truly highlighted the strength of the Berlin life science ecosystem. It's open, it's collaborative, it's driven by scientific excellence and entrepreneurial hunger, and it's got a heavy dose of artistic creativity thrown in too. A particular highlight was hearing from our tenants. NeutroGen Therapeutics, Captain T Cell, and MyoPax stepped out of the scientific comfort zone and delivered incredibly creative, fun and outside-the-box presentations spotlighting their science, progress, and vision. And the day didn't stop there, amazing panels and discussions on stage, and three very timely announcements: 1. Our partnership with bio:cap, Berlin's next big biotech event 2. Our partnership with Kadans Science Partner to develop the Berlin campus even further 3. Designation as an official #zukunftsort in partnership with the Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin as #HealthInnovationQuarterBerlinMitte Thank you to everyone who made the day engaging and inspiring. We’re proud to be part of this amazing ecosystem shaping Berlin’s vibrant innovation scene. Let's keep building Berlins Biotech future together! #BayerCoLab #CampusDay #BerlinEcosystem #LifeSciences #Biotech #Startup #Innovation #Collaboration

🚀 Berlin: Why Start-ups Choose Bayer Co.Lab Just 2 weeks after #Berlin celebrated its one-year anniversary, it's a pleasure to read this article reflecting on the concept, the offering and the feedback from tenants. As Ruth R. Shah, Head of Bayer Co.Lab Berlin, puts it "We do not measure success in numbers of meetings or events. Instead, we listen to the tenants – and even early-stage teams tell us that the connection to Bayer makes a meaningful difference."
