KG, based on customer interviews and metadata. 🫶🚀 For a company building Robotics & Physical AI, this means a lot. We believe that this technology cannot succeed in isolation. FERNRIDE is expanding into European defence logistics, applying our proven ground autonomy platform to help military supply chains operate safer, smarter, and with fewer personnel constraints. To accelerate this additional use case, FERNRIDE secured €18M in new funding, bringing total backing to €75M. “Europe needs sovereignty in critical industries and technologies. Autonomous systems for Container Terminals and Defence are mission-critical for Europe’s future,” said Hendrik Kramer, CEO and Co-founder of FERNRIDE. “Our solution is already operating in essential infrastructure, keeping goods moving at container terminals. With this new investment, we’ll expand our technology platform to serve defence logistics, ensuring safer operations, addressing personnel shortages, and ultimately protecting lives. We’ve shown that autonomy can solve real-world problems in civilian supply chains. Now we’re stepping up to serve European defence forces with the same mission: protect lives, boost resilience, and put humans back in control, just not always behind the wheel.” This latest investment strengthens our position in container terminal automation, where our first-ever TÜV SÜD-certified autonomous terminal tractors are participating in live operation, testing, and scaling. We’re moving toward fully driverless logistics at critical infrastructure nodes. The round is led by HELANTIC and supported by top-tier dual-use investors, including Thomas S. Müller (ex-Hensoldt, Airbus Defence), who now joins our board. Our Automation testing framework D/ACE enabled a fast-track implementation of security mitigation tests validating the hardening of the FERNRIDE ECU's as well as helping FERNRIDE identify & secure potential vulnerabilities.
