Founded in the Netherlands more than 25 years ago, the company has built a strong reputation within the automotive and industrial logistics markets through its commitment to reliability, flexibility and customer-focused service. Today, the company employs approximately 300 people across 21 countries. The German organization currently consists of around 10 employees and plays a strategically important role within NMT’s international network and it’s growth plans.

Position Overview

NMT is seeking a Managing Director Germany to lead, manage and further expand its commercial and operational activities in one of the company’s most strategically important markets globally. Germany is a key region for NMT due to its large automotive export volumes, strategic port infrastructure,and its central role within the European logistics landscape. The Managing Director will act as the local on-the-ground leader for Germany, responsible for driving sustainable growth across existing trade lanes while identifying and developing new commercial focus areas to diversify and strengthen the business. The role requires a commercially driven and hands-on leader with strong relationship-building capabilities, capable of combining strategic thinking with operational execution. In this position, the MD reports directly to the CEO.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Management

• Shape and deliver Germany’s commercial strategy to accelerate growth across customers, trade lanes and services.
• Win in the market by strengthening customer relationships, spotting new opportunities and staying ahead of industry shifts.
• Lead a high-performing local team and drive close collaboration across NMT’s international network.

General Management

• Lead and grow NMT Germany in line with global strategy and local market opportunities.
• Represent the business internally and externally while strengthening NMT’s market presence and international collaboration.
• Own business performance end-to-end, including budgets, profitability, forecasting, compliance and risk management.

Team Management

• Build and lead a high-performing, customer-focused team.
• Drive strong collaboration across NMT’s international network.
• Create a clear structure with ownership and accountability across the team.

KPI`S

• Revenue growth
• EBITDA, margin and profitability
• Compliance to NMT’s reporting, ESG and code of conduct requirements
• Customer satisfaction
• Employee engagement

Experience & Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years’ experience in commercial roles in either Car Carrying, RoRo, Breakbulk or Forwarding
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in leading a team
• Experience with P&L responsibility
• Bachelor's degree in business administration, logistics or a related field
• Fluent in German and English
