Purpose


The Regional Service Manager performs a critical function for Sinoboom BV. He/she provides support, training, and advice to customers, including distributors, across the region. It is his/her responsibility to ensure a rapid response to any maintenance, breakdowns and training, ensuring a safe operation and maintenance of our equipment and preparing solutions. This person reports to the Service Director and will work together with a team of Regional Service Managers within the company, creating policies to improve the reliability and training level of our network partners and customers. The Regional Service Manager will work closely with our DACH Regional Sales Manager as well as technical specialists in our Dutch facility located in Ridderkerk. + Polish manufacturing plant.


The Role


Customer satisfaction with our MEWPsis his/her top priority. Specifically, he/she has responsibility for:

  • Providing technical support and assistance to our DACH Regional Sales Manager
  • Developing and delivering technical training in the DACH Region
  • Maintaining our warranty program in the DACH Region
  • Proactively identifying repetitive problems or issues with our MEWPs and addressing them with R&D,
  • Devising solutions and preventive actions,
  • Assisting in New Product Development.
  • Direct, “hands-on” work on MEWPs is part of the job.


Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities


  • Organising and delivering technical training and outreach programs to ensure high levels of customer knowledge in the DACH Region.
  • Ensuring prompt and accurate responses to customer technical enquiries with the use of the company's Ticketing System.
  • Delivery of after-sales service and support to customers.
  • Oversight of our warranty program in the DACH Region.
  • Liaising with the Dutch team at Ridderkerk regarding spare parts.
  • Supporting Customers in the field, travel will be necessary up to 60%.
  • Assisting with the provision of necessary technical documentation and advice
  • Assistance with relevant new technology, e.g., telematics, to our equipment
  • Support our Ridderkerk & Poland staff with feedback and regular reports.
  • Contribute to New Product Development
  • Ensure that SinoboomBV has adequate systems in place to provide high-quality after-sales support and back up to our customers.



Experience and Qualifications


  • Knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through a high school education or the equivalent, with additional training preferred through university or a vocational school.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the MEWP sector with a rental, distributor, or OEM
  • Proven additional technical training on MEWPs
  • An excellent knowledge of the product and a strong knowledge of the product market, including hands-on technical experience.
  • Excellent database computer skills with a strong ability to operate PC programs, diagnostic tools, ability to learn remotely, with a good understanding of MS Office.
  • Fluent English is essential.
