The sisters and I met for coffee at Panera on West Memorial Road this morning.  We like to do this about every two or three weeks.  We catch up on family, share breakfast and coffee, talk about the latest book we are reading, and people watch.

This morning we happened to spy this adorable little girl.  We commented on her hair, tattoos and what we thought looked like a knife on her hip!  We were intrigued, as she was quite cute and trendy. Paige.  That is her name.  As she was leaving the shop, we called her over and asked if we could photograph her.  She is cute, very cute and very personable.  A delightful meeting with a fresh new face.

So, voila, meet Paige.  Be sure to check out the salon next door (Hair Rage VI) and let Paige give you something good to look at.  And a new haircut, of course.

Paige, from Hair Rage VI, West Memorial Road

Hope you have a nice day.  Stay inside and read a good book while it rains today, or get your hair done first!

Big hug,

Deborah

I am so excited that I am not sure I will make any sense.  And if you haven’t seen her monthly magazine, well, let me say that you are missing all the fun!  Lots of patterns and other goodies.  Wonderful!  The Stitcher’s Companion would make a great holiday gift for your favorite stitcher, and for yourself.  So click on the link (sidebar) and get your copies today.

I hope everyone can spend time with loved ones at this time of the year.   To be thankful for what we have, and look forward with hope and joy.  Happy Holidays!

I was browsing for felt beads and found a few Etsy goodies to share:

It is not too late for Santa Claus to bring me a new necklace (or two)!  And a little bear.  I have been a really good girl this year, for real.

Hope your day is merry and bright!

Big hug,

Deborah

Yesterday’s post was Monday’s draft.  Where is my brain these days?  Well, besides looking for work, I have been doing lots of embroidery on muslin.  I have even created my own little bird design with vines, leaves, flowers and a sweet little bee.  Thinking about making a quilt top or some lavender bags, or something else pillow-like.  (Is that a word?) The embroidery relaxes me, I really enjoy the small size project, and it helps keep my thoughts grounded.  Note to self:  take photographs of work in progress.

Love the birds, etsy, of course:

There is something about a little bird . . . .  Hope your Wednesday is wonderful.

Big hug,

Deborah

We had a record snow yesterday, well, a blizzard.  I am snowed in with Pumpkin and Spunky to keep me company.  The telephone lines are working so I can visit with family and friends.  Hope your holiday is merry and bright!

Etsy, of course, has lots of nice things for my stocking….

The sun is out this morning.  The snow has drifted up to the third porch step.  I love the snow, especially when no one has walked in it!

Happy holidays and a big hug,

Labor Day.  I am so thankful to still have a job these days.  I have read articles online today about how many people are unemployed.  Very Scary!  I hope we win back our contract and continue to work for the next four years.  Am I getting too old for this?  Just keep working, just keep working.

Today I am enjoying my day off.  Surfing Etsy, of course.  Waiting for Mr. to come by and whisk me off for lunch and a trip to the art fair (looking for some good handmade soaps).

Here is some random etsy kawaii and cuteness.  I have been interested in needle felting lately.  I really want to make some little felted beads.  And a felt business card holder.  And this pumpkin.

It’s Friday and I hope you are feeling good.  I am feeling in the pink today (that means good).  Wonder where that phrase came from?  Anyhow, here are some etsy, of course, pink favorites for Friday.  And a couple of my own pinkies.

I must have that little pink purse – made from barkcloth.  Very cute.  Are you the kind of girl that likes little purses to go with your outfits for the day?  I have a few that are my shopping purses.  Just big enough for money, cell, lip gloss and keys.  I need more.  The older I get, the cuter I want to be.  Ha ha.  So full of myself today!

Wouldn’t it be fun to camp out in your own little pink trailer?  Mary Jane Butters of MaryJanes Farm has some little pull along trailers.  I may have seen them in one of her magazines.  Very cute.

Hope you have a very pink Friday.  See you on down the road!

Big hug,

Deborah
