Fall is coming!

Blast from the past. Little Bowser September 2010. What a cute boy!

In the past I have shared illustrations from Etsy and how much I love them. I still do. Since little Phoenix came into my life, I have focused on raising and loving him. Sadly, last month month his birth mother took him from his father at a local restaurant and did not return him to us. We are now waiting for the court date (9/20) to ask for full custody.
The father has been cooperative in the past by letting Phoenix visit her frequently and often. Why she flipped the script we do not know. Possibly for money. She has a gambling addiction and has lost one job, been reduced to one day a week on another and is asking for money from the father all the time.
She gave the baby to the father stating she did not want him, and never looked back until he was about three years old and she lost her first job….due to her gambling.
So I have been devastated to lose the little boy I have raised since he was three months old.

That is all for now. My heart is hurting too much to say more.

survived. family and friends safe. prayers for the lost and injured, as well as the people who lost their homes and livelihood. Giant wedge tornado. Awesome coverage on news channel during the storm and on the radio. I lost satellite but radio coverage was on the mark. I did not have to seek shelter but we were ready to head for low ground.

I am blessed to wake up every day. I say thanks for each day I am given. I hope you enjoy all the blessings today has for you and your families. Biggest hug to you.

Today I am watching “A Christmas Story”; very cute (you’ll shoot your eye out!). Will enjoy some homemade beef soup with my honey and enjoy this white Christmas. We have mixed snow and sleet right now, and the snow should be falling by afternoon – about 2-4 inches. Yea!

saturday and all is well in the world

I made it through the worst week of my life! Well, actually not the worst. But it sure seems like it was pure D, H-E-double L! I came through with flying colors and lost about seven pounds. Yea! Not the best way to whittle my waist, but I am so glad the doctors found NOTHING! I can wait another five years before I have to endure that hellacious procedure again.

Now, how about something to make us smile? Illustrators from Etsy, of course. This one made me smile right away, hu-hum.

having a wonderful day relaxing, the day before i start to prep for a procedure. i won’t give too much information about that, let’s just say it has to do with the colon. I have been in remission for nine years. this exam is being done because i have rheumatoid factor in my lab work. well, i can only pray for the best outcome, and have faith. it’s always a thought in the back of my mind that cancer will come back. I was thinking yesterday about who would take my cats if i were to die. Too much time at home this weekend to think? Probably. How about something to make a person smile? Cats and kittens, Etsy, of course.

going along to get along

Not my favorite thing to do, however, I do want to get along with others (especially at work). It is hard to do with so many complex personalities. I go along with the game for the most part, but I do have my limits. And I am very independent so I don’t like to get caught up in any one group…just sayin.

start of a good week

the power of positive thinking. I am kinda getting just bored with myself these days. I feel like I am at the bottom of a rollercoaster ride and do not know what is going to happen next. Just in a small funk, feeling like I am at a standstill and something is going to or needs to happen. I pray for a job that will be fulfulling, bring home some good bacon, and one that will last….just saying.

So, how was your weekend? I had plenty of rest, reading and cozying up with the cats. Did a lot of soul searching about what to do next. Just do it, I say! Keep calm and carry on! Onward!
