2014 and a very happy new year

I can hardly believe the new year is here! Hope you are happy and healthy. My new year started out verrrry busy. Wonder if this is a preview of the rest of the year? Wouldn’t be a bad thing to be busy, as long as I get plenty of rest. Rest is a must for me. I need time to recharge my batteries more than ever (especially now that I am one year older, hee hee).

How about something good to look at? Etsy, of course. Enjoy.

We have a new member in our family! We call him Bear-Bear. He is 4 1/2 months old. We love him.

Awesome coverage on news channel during the storm and on the radio. I lost satellite but radio coverage was on the mark. I did not have to seek shelter but we were ready to head for low ground.

Cold, windy, dreary, gloomy Saturday. I have been sick all last week with the flu. Ugh. Feeling much better and hope to get back to work soon. For now, I am snug as a bug in my home, watching movies, eating homemade pasta bean soup over rice, and cuddling with the cats to stay warm.

I have a new header. Hope you like it. I took my lunch to a nearby park one day during the week, and this little scamp came down from his perch to check me out. He watched me for the longest time. Scurried between the trees and the ground. Finally went on about his business. Very cute.

rainy sleepy movie weekend

It is getting to be fall-like weather! Low evening temps, rainy for the past couple of days. I love it.. Today I have spent most of my time in the recliner with Pumpkin on my lap, drawing and watching movies. Snow White and the Huntsman was the first one I watched. I have ordered pizza and honeyBBQ wings. We have two movie channel previews this weekend, so I’ll be eating pizza and lying on the bed with the remote (and two kitties). It doesn’t get any better for a chilly, gloomy day.

another serene Sunday

spent yesterday with all the girls (sisters, niece, grandnieces). And the young ones cooked lunch for us! Stuffed chicken breast, potatoes with onions and green beans, garlic bread. Appetizer was baked cheese with pasta sauce. Drink was peaches blended in lemonade. Yummo! And peanut butter, cream cheese ball with chocolate chips on top to eat with apple slices and graham crackers. I brought espresso for afterwards. What a feast. I felt like putting on my jammies and taking a nap. Wonderful day!

happy birthday sister

today is my sister’s birthday. she is one year and four days older than me. she is my little big sister. i am five foot ten and she is five foot five. Happy Birthday Sister. She said she is going to hang out at home today and read, watch movies and relax. Next weekend is our sister party where the three sisters get together to celebrate these two birthdays. more on that later.

Here is my lovely sister Cheryl. She loves to draw, paint and do all sorts of crafting. love her.
