Here She Comes!

Winter.
Wisdom and rest.
Long dark nights to make the light shine brighter.
Welcome, welcome!

Nature's first green is gold,

Her hardest hue to hold.

Her early leaf's a flower;

But only so an hour.

Then leaf subsides to leaf.

So Eden sank to grief,

So dawn goes down to day.

Nothing gold can stay.

-Robert Frost

This was my faaaavorite poem throughout my teen years, thanks to The Outsiders. Suddenly this Fall, I find myself reciting it in my head, constantly. It used to depress me, which I loved, drama queen that I was. Now it makes me happy.

Stay Gold Pony Boy!

Sundancing in the Summer...until next year, farewell my friend!

Happy Autumn! Don't miss the GOLD.

I LOVE the outsiders! WE used to watch that all the time! I just read in a magazine that the movie just had its 25 year anniversary! I like that poem too.

Hooray for fall! My older sisters used to watch the outsiders, but wouldn't let me join...boo. So I was a true outsider!

How funny that you mention the Outsiders. I just found our old VHS of the movie in the garage the other day and I thought to myself "Hmmm good movie, should I watch this again?" Dad would probably enjoy it. All those familiar faces....Remember Ms. D'Abusco had you do a paper on a gold person in your life? Ha! Well, enjoy Autumn and get ready for the Winter days.

Mom,
I can hardly remember that! Who was my golden person?
I found my Outsiders on VHS and just bought a new VCR/DVD player yesterday (old one busted), so now I can watch it!
Last night Chad turned on the t.v. to The Goonies and I said "oooooh Outsiders!!!" He was like, "nooooo, Goonies!" I guess I'm just so dying to watch it, I mistook Goonies for it. Ha ha!
