Taking pictures of my kids together is always entertaining! One of them is either blinking, smiling so big you can only see the chin, or they their eyes are so big from smiling so big that they look like they are going to pop out! I just love these kids!
I feel bad that I haven't been journaling what the kids have been up to. Erik has changed so much and has really grown up. He is getting so much better at communicating and understanding us. Erik is such a sweetie. Every morning, he gets his juice and says, "Cuddles mommy." He loves sitting in my lap like a baby while he drinks his juice and I love it. He can be my baby as long as he wants:) Erik thinks he is the boss. Whenever we have prayers, he points to someone and yells, "Say it!" He also loves praying and has said some funny prayers and some really sweet prayers. Many times he would bless the brown car and the tables and chairs. Sometimes when Erik prays I just want to cry, because it is so sweet. There have been a couple people very dear to us in our lives who are struggling and we didn't even have to tell him to pray for them. He loves the people who care about him and he always makes sure to pray for them. Erik is also getting really good at just sitting and looking at books and telling stories.
Bria is growing up too fast. I cannot hold onto her tight enough and sometimes I cry because I just want to pause time for a minute and enjoy their childhood for more time. Bria loves going to school and learning new things. She is constantly asking questions and trying to learn more things. Bria is such a funny kid and says the funniest things. She has been making up all kinds of words when things go wrong, like, "Oh coconuts!" She is learning how to read and loves writing her letters. On all of her artwork, she likes to write all the words she knows. Bria has been such a good helper. I used to have to use a chart to get her to do her chores, but now she just does them and loves to surprise me every time. She has also been really good at sharing with Erik. Every time she earns a treat, she splits it in half so Erik can have some. She can be so sweet sometimes!
And for our little one on the way...
Yes, he is still in my belly. I am so grateful to be a mom and I am so excited for our third little one to arrive. He is sure teasing us! We had a full night of false alarms the other night, but he decided not to come. I think he may be a little nervous coming into our crazy world! He does hear Bria and Erik's chaos, so I wouldn't be surprised if he wants to just hang out in my quiet tummy for a while. I have really enjoyed these last couple months being pregnant and have already fallen in love with the little guy. Derek and I are so excited to go through this together and bond even more as parents. I just love my family so much and couldn't ask for more right now!
