Welcome to the DL.ART December 2020 linky challenge

Here we are December 1st, wow this year just sped by. What were some of your most memorable moments, this year. I found it interesting trying different masks. I have come to the conclusion my favorites are the disposable.  I have made masks and I have bought masks that other people have made out of fabric. The fabric is too heavy.

The ones I make, my husband really likes. They are made from filter material and are disposable or you can leave them under UV light to sterilize and wear a few times.  

Do you have any fun plans for 2021?

Challenge #258  "Mothers Day"  

Hello  Everyone, 

Day 38 in the Shelter in Place order:

My mom is no longer on this earth, but when she was I always made her a card or some sort of art project for her birthday, Christmas and Mother's day.  I decided to take a trip down memory lane and pick one of my favorite projects I had made her for mother's day 7 years ago.  I still think it is very pretty and it was a compilation of three or four challenges at the time.
I had just discovered SVGcuts and I was on the creative inspirations paint design team. I wish they were still in business. Their products were great and still I have some still.


Are any of you binge watching Netflix?
or other streaming formats?
I am watching reruns of star trek series. One a night 
Making ribbon,buttons, cards and filling orders.


I do believe the social distancing is the key!
Yes, I miss my friends, but not at the cost of others losing their lives.

As of this week it is mandatory to wear some sort of face mask while in businesses- I don't own one, but I am going to make one this week. I have ordered some fabric and plan on making a lot for our local hospitals-- just doing my part 

 STAY HOME! STAY SAFE!

  until May ?  (For now)

Happy Monday Everyone, 
I can not believe how quickly this year is moving along.

Do you have your favorite stamps, dies, paper?
I know I do and it changes from time to time right now I am loving this Merrey mug stamp set and die from PTI. I have used it quite a few times and I am always amazed at how different it looks each time with different paper, stamps and inks.

I hope you like it. I used whatever paper I had scraps of and the ink is CTMH Sapphire, cocoa and champagne . A simple card yet fun. I love how yummy the chocolate sprinkles came out.

The background debossing is from a Sizzix die by TH. The card stock is stamper's select white and blush.

Check back later in the week to see what I make with the vintage doll Flair buttons-- It is so cool!!!  I really like it.

New release  DL.ART crinkle ribbon bundle Meadow and Stream

Happy  Friday  Everyone,

I just released a new hand dyed crinkle ribbon bundle, I think it is my new fave.   The crinkle ribbon can be found in the DLART store.
The card is 4.25 x 5.5- I hope you like it

I used stampers select white for the card base and CTMH pixie ink for the pink, except for the mom banner I used CTMH (retired) hollyhock pen, it was low on ink I'm not happy about how that turned out. The sending my love is from PTI don't forget to write, I also used the PTI sending die to mask the grater from the sentiment. It is a little larger than the stamp set, but I like the look. The tea pot and the grater are from Joy Clair "Mother's Day. The dove is from verve "Love Story". Because this is a on layer card I did not want to go over the banner with copic ink because I did not want it to go through the other side I may work on this later I want it smoother.
The dove always reminds me of my mom and dad and I am sending my love to her in heaven. This will be first mom's day without her, I can not tell you how many times I have wanted to call her.
I hope you like this one layer card.

WOW how many layers you ask? I forgot, there were so many. I loved making this it went together pretty easily. I added some pearls to the top and just had a lot of making it. My card is 6x6 which is a different format than I usually make. Working with the a square card  is a bit different. I thought of making a shaped card, but I did not want the little curly corners on the top to get bent. I did pop it up with foam tape, that gives it even more dimension. It is from design try one if you get a chance.
 The ribbon at the very bottom is from the Newspaper bundle, RAO red  from the  DL.ART store.  I hope you are really inspired by this week's DL.ART designers and enter the challenge, and while you are at it send them some bloggy love..
