Magic Mouse won’t pair with iPad Air M2

I’ve had my iPad Air M2 for more than a year and the magic mouse was bought new with the iPad but mouse is still not discoverable and will not pair. I get a message in blue tooth to be sure and turn on “misc.” I cannot find a misc feature to turn on. Mouse is charged and blue tooth is on.

Start with the iPad User Guide:

Connect a mouse to iPad

Troubleshooting Steps:

  • Force Pairing Mode: Turn the Magic Mouse off and back on again.
  • Disconnect Existing Connections: If the mouse is connected to a Mac or another device, you must "forget" or disconnect it there first.
  • If it won't pair: Turn the mouse off, then on, and wait for it to appear in the Bluetooth list.
  • PIN: If requested, use 0000 as the code.
  • Customization: After connecting, you can adjust tracking speed and button functions in Settings > General > Trackpad & Mouse.
