How do I prevent Apple from using anything via OpenAI?
Now that OpenAI has crawled into bed with the Department of War, I'd like to prevent Apple from working with OpenAI. At least on my devices. Does turning off Apple Intelligence do that?
Linking it with ChatGPT is optional. So is using Apple Intelligence for that matter.
Turning Apple Intelligence off for both our M2 and M4 minis is the very first thing we did when AI was introduced. And we'll do the same with our iPhones when we upgrade to models that can use AI. We have zero interest in AI.
Apple Intelligence uses Apple's own model, though it will integrate with ChatGPT for broader access.
I couldn't find a reference that it hooks to OpenAI.
ChatGPT is part of OpenAI. So if Apple links with ChatGPT it is giving money to OpenAi.
