Let's Go Fly a Kite.......

Morning folks,
I hope you have all been enjoying the sunshine as most of us here in the UK have, although I think we deserved some after all the torrential rain we have endured for sooo long.
Anyway, can u believe it's already time for another challenge over at Totally Tilda . The theme this time is 'Summer Fun Tilda' so loads of scope there, just remember you do need to include a Tilda on your project. Also we have a fab prize up for grabs as we are sponsered by the wonderful Crafty Ribbons.
I used one of my favourite Tilda's for this and had fun with the kite design which I got a little carried away with (the kite is properly strung and knotted with bakers twine!), however I think flight may be impeded by the weight of the flowers.
I chose to stamp Tilda onto kraft and coloured with my Prisma Pencils for a softer look than markers. The fab and fun DP's are from the Hopscotch collection by Basic Grey. The sentiment is LOTV and the Summer Fun letters are from the Vintage Market Sizzix die by Tim Holtz.
All papers have been faux stitched and distressed with Frayed Burlap DI.

Okay well I think that's everything but don't forget to check out the challenge and play along.

I am entering this into the following challenges:
Just Magnolia - #167 'In The Country'
Tilda's Town - #11 'Name Your Technique' (Colouring on Kraft and Faux Stitching)

Bye for now
Happy crafting!

Love Is.... Grey and Purple!

Evening all,
I hope everyone that is affected by the deadly white stuff is safe and warm and hasn't slipped about too much.
Well safe to say the shop was a little quieter today so I stole a few hours to play and decided to use the gorgeous 'Daisy' a firm favourite of mine from Sugar Nellie.

The challenge over at Passion for Promarkers really got me thinking 'Use Grey and Purple' so I tried my hand at another Black and White image. I remember many moons ago seeing a tutorial on colouring just with shades of grey and it taught me alot unfortunately I cannot remember whether it was the very talented Denise or the equally talented Deb from the PFP Design Team, but thank you anyway to both ladies as you have always inspired me.
I chose to team my design with an old Basic Grey DP 'Wisteria' which I love and edged everything with Pumice Stone DI and Diamond Stickles.
Both of the beautiful dies are from Marianne D and the lovely little sentiment is from Magnolia. The flowers, pearls and charm came from my stash.

Back to the challenge, this week it's on to the letter Y so the theme is yesterday so use your imagination. You could choose a vintage theme or choose from any of the past ABC challenge themes. I chose to use the theme of D is for Distressing.

I chose this gorgeous image by Stamping Bella 'Anna On Her Time Out Chair' which is available from my very generous sponsor Joanna Sheen who has kindly offered a £10 voucher to be spent in her online shop for one lucky commenter who leaves a comment on my blog at the bottom of this post.
I have stamped onto kraft paper and coloured this cutie with Prismacolour Pencils. The whole thing has been distressed with Frayed Burlap DI. The scrummy DP's are Hopscotch by Basic Grey, I added a few punched flowers some lace, pearls and faux stitching and that was that.

Halloween Magical Mondays DT Card

Good morning all!
This morning sees the start of another challenge over at Magical Mondays and it's a fab 'Halloween' theme. So be sure to dig out your witchy stamps and give it a go. I am sponsoring this weeks challenge and have put up some goodies from my shop 'Cloudnine Crafts' for a prize. These include a gorgeous 6x6 DP pad from SEI, a Large pack of flowers from Flora Doodles and a lovely Tilda stamp from Magnolia.
Anyway this week for my Halloween DT contribution I chose to use the great Witchy Digi from TGF and the wonderful DP's are from the spooktackular 'Eerie' collection by Basic Grey. I created the Moon with a circular nestie and coloured it with my ProMarkers then I added punched spiky twiggy bits to look like an old spooky tree. The gem and pearl swirls are a bit dark to see on the picture but the thought was there. Well enough from me hope to see you all entering this fortnights challenge and good luck.
Hugs

Mermaid Tilda

Afternoon all,

Well what a miserable Sunday it's wet and horrible here. However just put away a very nice Sunday dinner and am sitting here with a big mug of freshly brewed coffee surrounded by my crafty stash. Had great fun finishing my DT project for tomorrow mornings Magical Monday Challenge, so I hope to see you all giving our next challenge a go.
Anyway for now I have a Magnolia project to share with you. Last week I ran a workshop on how to incorporate acetate into your projects and this is one of the cards made. I used 3 of the gorgeous images from the Bon Voyage collection - Mermaid Tilda, Sea view Background and the Seaweed. The acetate front of the card was secured with a tab sandwiched between the back of the card and the DP was used to cover the join. I stamped the seaweed along the botton of the acetate panel using Stazon then glittered it. Then I stamped and coloured the other 2 images and applied the mermaid to the front of the acetate panel and stuck the sea view inside the card. The greeting is by Hero Arts which I layered up and attached to the front.

I am entering this in the following challenges:
Just Magnolia - Week 75 'Anything Goes'
Crafty Catz - #52 'A Birthday Card for a Child with Sparkle'
Paper Sundaes - #38 'Something from your Stash' (Haven't used my acetate for ages!)

Good morning,
Hope everyone had a fab weekend. We had a monsoon on Sunday so am hoping for some sunshine this week! Anyway I had a great day crafting as the weather wasn't good enough for much else yeah!
So, today see's a new challenge over at ABC and it's a wonderful one. This time we want to see creations with the theme of 'Under the Sea'. We are being sponsored by our very own lovely Lacey and her store Stamp and Create. I would like to say a huge thank you to Lacey as she provided all of the DT with a fabulous stamp of their choice and a package of other lovely goodies. I chose to use the beautiful Calliope from Kraftin Kimmie along with some stunning Dp's from the Kioshi collection from Basic Grey. The gorgeous silk ribbon was from Lacey and the stamped greeting (which I use all the time) was a freebie from DoCrafts magazine. I used my ProMarkers to colour and added Glossy Accents to the cute octopus and added some flat back pearls as bubbles. I loved using this sketch which is the challenge over at I love ProMarkers.
Anyway thanks for looking and also thank you in advance to all of you who take the time to leave a much appreciated comment. I hope to find lots of your creations over at ABC and can't wait to getting hopping round your blogs.

A Gift From The Heart

Wow hello again,
can't believe this is my 3rd post in a week. This gift box was inspired by my last project. When I made my last card (Smelling the Roses) I thought the design would make a great box lid so I developed the idea and created a 6" x 6" box and sandwiched it between 2 chipboard panels that had been covered using Cappella DP's from Basic Grey. I did choose to use a different image as I hadn't inked up the beautiful Daisy for ages.
I feel I'll be making alot more of these come Christmas time. Anyway I am entering this project into the following challenges:

http://abc-challenge.blogspot.com/ - X is for Xtra dimension (chipboard box with large handmade flower)
