Boise + Easter

Instead of making the long trek home after the McCall wedding, we opted to stop by Boise and see our old friends! I am so glad I did... mostly. It makes me miss them like crazy, but it was so fun to catch up and pick up right where we left off. Good girlfriends of mine.
Saturday night we got a couple sitters for the kids and the girls went out to dinner and the boys went out to dinner. Yes, separately. We couldn't risk being interrupted by our husbands, or having to share the conversation with them. (we forgot to snap the picture before half the girls left...)
We celebrated Easter at the Lunt's house. The kids loved it!

We were able to attend our old ward and it was like going home. We have so many fabulous friends and fond memories of that ward. It was so fun to reconnect with everyone.
And my kiddos just sparkle in their Easter ourfits.

After church the kids collected their Easter eggs.

And just to squeeze in a little more time together we did a picnic before we headed home.
 Three peas in a pod.
And some of my bestest friends in the whole world.

Josh + Jamie

We made the quickest trip of our lives up to McCall to celebrate Josh and Jamie's wedding. They are such a cute couple and we had so much fun getting to know Jamie a little bit better and hanging out with lots of family (for the 24 hours that we were there). They could not have picked a more scenic place to get married at. Everything took place at the Shore Lodge that is right on McCall lake. It was beautiful. The weather, though not warm, held for us and wasn't too cold.
In fact, we went swimming right when we got in on Friday evening. The pool was heated, but a little on the chilly side.

When Alex, Abbey, Carson and Grandma Berna got in we all headed to dinner.

That evening Josh had reserved the theater room for all the kids to go watch a movie and enjoy popcorn and soda. The rest of us hung out around the fire pit and made s'mores. Eventually the rest of the family showed up and the kids made their way back into the hot tub, then proceeded to run to the lake and jump in (which was half frozen over still) and race back to the hot tub. All the little cousins had so much fun.

Surprisingly my kids slept pretty well in the hotel. It was fun to lounge in bed in the morning.
Then we went to The Pancake House for breakfast with Ashlee and Shawn and fam. Yummy food, huge pancakes and huge cinnamon rolls.

Then off to the wedding and luncheon. Both Josh and Jamie looked so happy and we're so excited to have three new insta-cousins!
My perfect family:

It was a very fun event and so good to see so many family members that we hadn't seen in years! Can't wait for the reunion in August!
