Leading teams & raising kids ✨ As part of Mother's Day and our #MomsThatMakeADifference series, we spoke with Cecilie, Anne and Ida - all leaders at Coloplast - about how parenthood has influenced the way they lead teams, make decisions and support others. 🧩 For Anne, leadership and family life share the same foundation: structure, alignment and clear expectations. “We have some good operating models,” she says with a laugh. But for her, structure only works when combined with authenticity and openness - both at home and at work. 🌱 Cecilie sees a strong overlap between leadership and motherhood. Whether guiding a team or raising children, growth happens when people feel supported and trusted. She mentions how lucky she feels that this is not just her personal ambition, but something she sees deeply rooted in Coloplast’s culture: leaders investing in people and creating environments where potential can unfold. ⚖️ For Ida, motherhood made conscious choices even more important. How she spends her time, approaches her workday and team, and prioritizes energy across work and family life became clearer after becoming a parent. It also shaped what she values in her own leaders: trust, flexibility and balance - not as exceptions, but as expectations. As we celebrate National Nurses Month, we reflect on the profound role nurses have played not only in healthcare, but in shaping Coloplast’s very identity. Our company’s story began with a nurse, Elise Sørensen, who listened deeply to her sister’s concerns about living with a stoma. Her empathy led to a groundbreaking idea: the world’s first adhesive ostomy bag. That idea was realized through the partnership of Aage Louis‑Hansen, a civil engineer and plastics manufacturer, and Johanne Louis‑Hansen, a trained nurse whose clinical insight helped transform innovation into meaningful impact. Their work laid the foundation for the values we still hold today: listening, understanding, and responding to real human needs.
