And way to go SpaceX. Another country headed to the moon. The more countries that do this the better off we are as a species. Story here. (post in honor of Mike Nofsinger)

SpaceX again
Frankly, it feels like I post about SpaceX once a week. I probably do. However, that is really due to the continued success the company has in driving the US space program forward. In the latest instance, SpaceX has been chosen by NASA to launch the components of the “lunar gateway”, a small space station to orbit around the moon. The launches are scheduled for 2024. Sell NASA to SpaceX
For a dollar. Then give SpaceX 3/4 of the budget we give NASA each year. The government saves money, and we get a competent space program. Story here.

Chinese moon rocks
A Chinese probe is bringing back rocks from the far side of the moon. It is a very impressive technical accomplishment. The Chinese are serious about space. Thank God Elon Musk is, because the rest of the US government seems oblivious. (Post in memory of Mike Nofsinger, who would agree with every word)

A nuclear moon
Story here. This makes perfect sense. You’d never get enough solar power for large scale power generation. Until we get fusion, a nuclear fission reactor is the only reasonable way to power large scale human development on the Moon and Mars. (post in memory of Mike Nofsinger)

Elon Musk, garbage man?
SpaceX may use its future Starship to clean up orbital debris on its way back and forth to the Moon and Mars. Story here. Is there anything Elon can’t do? (post in memory of Mike Nofsinger)

Turn the moon shot over to Elon Musk
Story here. I suspect that SpaceX can get it done faster and cheaper. (post in memory of Mike Nofsinger)
