Regular readers of this blog know I am fascinated with the X-37B. It has landed after 2 1/2 years in orbit. Story here. They are telling us more and more regarding what is being done on each mission, but the parts they aren’t telling us are the ones I find interesting. (post in memory of Mike Nofsinger, who would be fascinated by this.)

Interesting USAF developments
Story here. I wonder how much is already operational that we are not aware of?

Power from space?
The X-37B spaceplane, that up until now has conducted missions so ultra secret, that nothing other than the launching and landing are ever reported, is currently conducting a flight where, for the first time, we know at least part of what it is doing. Story here. (Post in memory of Mike Nofsinger)

Do the Chinese have their own version of the X-37B? It may have just landed after its first flight. (post in memory of Mike Nofsinger)

X-37B
NASA and the USAF are launching the X-37B again. This time, they’ve released at least some info on what the X-37B will be doing while in orbit. I am fascinated by the X-37B and hope that one day we’ll know the full story of what it is being used for. (post in memory of Mike Nofsinger)

Well, this is interesting
A talk by the USAF Chief of Staff talking about having the F-22 and F-35 communicate and share information with the X-37B. Of course, as the article notes, this raises the ever-present question of exactly what the X-37B does and what sort of sensors it has that could share useful information with the fighters. Something fascinating is going on with thee X-37B. I just hope that one day we know what it is.

X-37B
Its back. Regular readers know I am very interested in the X-37B. Like many people I don’t buy that it is just being used for research. When will the next one launch? (post in memory of Mike Nofsinger)

More X-37B stuff
Article here. The current X-37B in orbit has been there almost two years. It seems like the USAF keeps one in orbit at nearly all times. (Some great photos in this article. I may have to get the kit of this thing.)
