Butterflies

We went to the zoo and there was a butterfly exhibit. Macie LOVES butterflies and so this was perfect! There were hundreds of butterflies all sizes and colors

Macie was amazed that the butterflies were everywhere and would land on people.

Unfortunately the next two nights she woke up during the night having bad dreams that there were butterflies on her and in her bed.

It's hard to see in this picture but Macie thought it was funny that this little animal stood straight up tall just like her

We went to a fruit farm and picked blueberries, raspberries and apricots.

Macie is a good little picker!

Happy 4th of July

Trevor's parents came and visited us for the 4th of July weekend and we had lots of fun!

We started the day going to the parade

Macie waved her flag to everyone hoping to get some candy!

Later we went swimming at our pool! Macie loves to go to the pool but still doesn't like the idea of water in her eyes or going under the water. She'd rather just float around

We got  a few fireworks to do at home. It took Macie a few tries to learn how to do pop-its. First time we handed her one she put it in her mouth (she was half asleep) and then she would try throwing them but she pinched them too hard and they would pop in her fingers. She loved them though!

We sat out front for the evening and watched our neighbors put on an awesome firework show.

I think Macie had one of the funnest days ever and has decided that the 4th of July is pretty sweet!

Macie loves to cook with me. She's mixing us something for dinner: Balloons, paper, napkins and some make-believe ingredients!!
