Be there or be talked about

Conference weekend really upped the X chromosomes in my world (please tell me that’s female…I don’t understand the concept well enough to even understand the google search).  While the boys were away at the Priesthood session of a MOST EXCELLENT conference, (did Elder Holland throw down or WHAT?  Ho…lee..crap), I enjoyed some awesome female bonding time with my peeps.

Girl talk (in no particular order and may or may not be complete):

  • Laser hair removal, bikini waxing, Brazilian waxing and subsequent hand-tweezed stragglers, Brazilian laser hair removal, (not recommended), eyebrow waxing and shaping and how Tina “you want your lip waxed” the Vietnamese torturer is on her way out.
  • Acrylic toenail pedicures, how-to.
  • French manicures and the benefits to back scratching derived thereon.
  • Powder foundation versus liquid foundation, pros and cons.
  • Some day I need to step it up and wear makeup.  Truly.
  • Mice are creepy, no matter how small.
  • Mousetraps are mean to my fingers.
  • Victoria’s Secret has sweats to die for.  Pink rules.
  • Women can build fires, too.
  • Fall fashion for canines and flannel pjs for puppies.
  • Dating others while having a boyfriend and how to make this work.
  • Hysterectomies, bladder slings and stitch adhesive removal.  Oh.  That was just me.
  • Appendectomy scars and the miracle of scope surgery.
  • Other intestinal issues I will not print.
  • Hormonal shifts can make a girl cry for no reason.
  • Hair color, length and style.
  • Sometimes one just has to have chocolate.  No matter how late it is.
  • Friendship bracelet unraveling can be distracting.  Unwisely so.

Anna and Lauren, you were sorely missed, but definitely talked about.

Rest assured, there is not one of my boys who wouldn’t gladly poke out his own right eye rather than be in that room for those two hours.

It was effing awesome.  And I truly mean that.

Circle of trust, girls.
