I thought I'd share some photos of my 3 y.o.'s play.
She is always busy playing independently. It is so interesting to watch children discovering and trying to make sense of the world with their own senses and imagination.
Their fascinations and excitements on their journey of discovering is so delightful. :)
It is so inspiring not only as a mother but also as a maker to see what children do.
I think I learn a lot from my girl's play!
"Frangipani flower hunt." Let's go!!!
It's not just about collecting flowers but she had to wear frangipani-like white dress.
"Oh..!" spotting an insect and stopping everywhere.
Collected many (more than 100!) seed pods.
"Look! So many boats!"
Spending more than an hour writing letters in the back yard.
She is 3, she cannot write letters in Japanese or English yet - but she can fully enjoy pretending to be writing!
Letters done. "Mummy can we go to Post Office now?"
Her sketchbook is filled with faces.
At the exhibition by Yayoi Kusama
where visitors can participate decoration the space with stickers. Been there 4 times now :)
She is so at home within these surroundings. Making tea.
Making of "a monster mask" which later she wore to the corner shop.
She is now a merchant selling vintage doilies.
"This is 30 dollars!" Tries so hard to sell to my friend!
At a restaurant, she traces a knife on the paper table cloth. Very serious.
A knife, two forks and a spoon traced! Now colouring them.
(I want to go home...)
I am not sure what it is but it means something significant for her
as she worked on this for a long time. The blue part was hand sewn by her.
Drawing with a seed pod and water on a concrete ground.
The sun is strong it disappears so quickly so she needs to draw quicker!
It became a game and she finds it fun!
Wishing you all a happy child-like day today!!
