Lucky Me

...and I mean that.

All growing up I told my mom that what I really wanted to do, was be a mom. Now, I am able to do that full time and sometimes I forget what a blessing it is.
Today I watched my BFF's kids while she went to work, and it struck me. I am lucky...
I am extremely lucky. I have the option of staying home with my children.
I think because I get stuck in a rut every now and again doing the whole mom thing, I forget that a lot of people don't have that luxury.
My girls make my days complete. The little things make it all worth while. Today we painted faces and watered the garden, saw a movie and ate ice cream. It was so fun. I thought this would be a great opportunity to get some of the little pictures and videos that I capture on my cell throughout our days and journal them. I also had to write down some funny things before I forget.

Kenna has SUCH a huge personality, and has been saying some of the funniest stuff lately. She makes me SO crazy sometimes, but I can not imagine her being even a smidgen different than she is. She is her fathers daughter... she is who she is... take her or leave her.

A few days ago we had this conversation:
Me: Kenna, PLEASE stop
Kenna: Mom, don't you talk me like dat
Me: Oh, you are so SASSY
Kenna: No, I not SASSY, I'm just MEEEEEEEAAAAANNNNN!!!!!!

Another new thing is for her to try and piss Marlee off. Yesterday we were in the office and Marlee was in with me. Kenna came in and immediately started copying every word that Marlee said...and with some fierce attitude. I had to hold in my laughter. It was truly hilarious.

Marlee is still my tender spirit. Her latest thing is to do talent shows for us. Which, basically just means she sings and dances while we sit and watch. She grows up more and more every day. She can't wait to get into our new house and constantly asks when we are getting a puppy and a baby. Yikes.

And somehow I never blogged about when Corbin came through town, so here is my mini blog entry for that.

The girls LOVE "Uncle Co-bin".
He was a great sport and played and wrestled for like an hour with the girls before they went to bed. I did end up getting one good picture of the three of them.
We miss you "Cobin" and can't wait for you to come hang with us at our new house!

Utah...Finally...

Things have been so chaotic the last few months, I am fully aware I have been a blog-slacker!!!
That being said, even if everyone has already quite reading our blog, I still want this trip documented, so here goes:

I went to Utah the first week of June for a wedding and got to spend the week with one of my very best friends, Tiff. I also got to see some of my other BFF's from hair school and from Law School in SD (Chels and Paris). It was SO good to see my girls and to get all the kiddos together. We went to the petting zoo at Thanksgiving Point and then to the Pizza Factory for lunch (oh, how I miss those bread sticks!).
This was also the week I went blonde...too bad I didn't get all the pictures from that! It was quite an adventure. It took 7 processes and 48 hours, but we got there.... and I'm still not use to it!
Ady and Kenna:
Hallie and Marlee:
Chels, Me and Tiff Kenna on the pony:
Paris and Me:
Tiff and her sweet baby Paige:
The goodbye's:

We are HOPING to close on our house on Friday (if we get it,more pics to come), but there have been a few bumps in the road, so pray for us that it happens!
If it does, don't expect me to blog again for a month or so. We will be painting like crazy for a few weeks and then less than a week after we officially move in, we will be leaving for a week in Boise. Hopefully we will have the Internet by the time I get back!

Girly Girls

So last week I took some pictures of "my girls", meaning my daughters and my neices. I may be biased, but I am pretty sure it is the cutest group of girls to roam the planet. We got them all these little matching petty skirts, and when we got them all together I about died!

It is killing me how big Kenna is getting...she is supposed to be my BABY and looking at these makes me realize she is a GIRL not a BABY! It is depressing. Anyway, here are some of my favorite shots!
