Shia vs Sunni, Persian vs Arab, can you imagine these players with nuclear weapons?

The Shia Sunni Divide is not going away...

Iran's Nuclear Timeline. It is almost certain Saudi Arabia will obtain nuclear weapons if Iran gets them (the quickest way would be by buying some from the Pakistanis).

Legal Insurrection: While it would be preferable they both lose, if this escalates they are likely to drag the rest of the world in with them

Saudis sentenced Nimr al-Nimr's nephew to beheading and crucifixion.

Instapundit: Collapse? (no this would not be a good thing, the alternative would be worse), Spengler: Panic by the Saudi Monarchy, Saudi Arabia severs diplomatic ties with Iran, Obama's Bizarro World Victory Tour and French ambassador is okay with embassy burnings?

Richard Fernandez: Assassin's Creed (President Obama don't know much about history...)
Victor Davis Hanson: Mother of Peace (President Obama doesn't know much about human nature either)
Regular Right Guy: Saudis execute 47, but only some by beheading...

Truck Driver Takes on Migrants in Calais

Conservative Tribune: Do you think Europe has a problem?

EBL: We have a problem too

Lem's Levity: Obama has blank check for Syrians and An Act of Love (Troop blogs on the Hungarian driver at Calais)

Obama chides the United States overseas (again)

Via Washington Free Beacon (Really, Mr. President)

Mass Shooting only happen in the United States? Barack Obama said that is Paris this week. Is this difficulty with telling the truth (and this list is generous to Obama), past head trauma, or too much weed (back in the day).

Barack Obama needs to own the crisis he helped create in Syria...

Peter Beinart claims Obama wants to stand on the right side of history in dealing with America's evil? Say what? So merely questioning the wisdom of Obama's reckless Syrian refugee plan makes us all xenophobes and nativists?

How pathetic and disgraceful such a comment is made by an American President (it is almost like his pal from the neighborhood Bill Ayers was saying it)...

Oh wait, we were talking about evil. You know who's really evil? ISIS is evil. You know how ISIS managed to take over huge swaths of Syria and Iraq?  How soon we forget Biden and Obama declaring Iraq to be a success story.  So what happened? What happened is Obama allowing Iraq and Syria to become disaster cases.  Oh yeah, Obama's and Hillary War of Choice in Libya too (maybe Beinart can go down the hall at The Atlantic and speak with Conor Friedersdorf about that). Obama also wrecked US and Egyptian ties. I am not even sure it is bumbling and incompetency, it is arguably far more malevolent than that.

Beinart is often wrong.

Instapundit: Peter Wehner: Our Bitter Graceless President, Hillary helped screw it up too, Dianne Feinstein tells Obama we are running out of time to defeat ISIS, to divert blame for their own failures Democrats and their media lackey blame Republicans for being Islamophobes

EBL: FBI investigating 900 homegrown ISIS cases, Is it Trump's race to lose?, there is a fundamental difference between fundamental Islam and Christianity, why would Syrian-Americans say no to Syrian refugees?, and ISIS is a symptom of a far bigger problem

I've called these terrorist bastards ISIS, or sometimes Islamic State, and then of course ISIL too, but they really hate being called Daesh?

I am not buying the Obama Administration explanations (this is way more revealing about Obama Administration than trying to effectively communicate to our enemies). But if ISIS hates being called  Daesh, I have no problem calling them Daesh.

This is what DAESH stands for as an acronym. It makes sense if you speak and read Arabic.

I would just assume seeing these terrorists all D-E-A-D

Some are not actual terrorists, they just sympathize with them…

BTW they hate these terms too.  These are linguistic weapons of mass destruction in most conversations with Arab speakers, so use them sparingly on directed appropriate targets. The one about mother's lady parts is especially offensive.

President Obama admits he has no plan for dealing with ISIS; Unfortunately ISIS does have a plan for dealing with us...

But what the President really wants to know:  Do you like my suit?

Meanwhile, unfortunately, as both Drudge and Instapundit point out, ISIS has a plan:
Update:
Regular Right Guy is way more generous than me to the President!
Joe Scarborough is obviously wanting to keep things friendly at the wedding he is going to with the President. No immediate plans to defeat ISIS (you would have to be Joe Scarborough to find that reassuring)

Disney Princess Jasmine Rule 5

Jasmine's dad got her that tiger for a reason…to keep unsuitable suitors away!

TOM: Feminists worry that Disney movies are making girls heterosexual… and given how Feminists never seem to have any issues with the Arab world's (mostly the Muslim Arab world's) treatment of women, well never let a Rule 5 opportunity go to waste, especially when Princess Jasmine is definitely attired properly for the climates of Southern California and Central Florida…

Clearly a dad "suffering" through a Disney Princess breakfast…

Rule 5 and FMJRA

The Arab Spring Four Years Later

It is complex (read the whole thing)
Tunisia, where everything started, proved the pessimists wrong, and Egypt, which rapidly followed Tunisia, all by itself proved both the optimists and the pessimists wrong.
The mostly nonviolent removal of President Zine el-Abidine Ben Ali from office in Tunis led to free and fair elections in 2011 that brought to power the Islamist party Ennahda, the local branch of the Muslim Brotherhood. But Ennahda only won forty-one percent of the vote, with a majority voting for secular parties—hardly a mandate for radical Islam. From the very beginning, Tunisia’s liberal and secular opposition resisted Ennahda so effectively that the Islamists had to abandon their push for a religious state and grudgingly accept a secular civil state. Even that wasn’t enough for the majority; in January 2014, Ennahda, exhausted by the unrelenting onslaught from moderates, liberals, and leftists, resigned from the government. Later that same month, Tunisia adopted one of the most liberal constitutions in the entire Arab world. “With the birth of this text,” center-left President Moncef Marzouki said, “we confirm our victory over dictatorship.”
So much for Iranian-style revolution.
But the optimists were wrong everywhere else.

Muslim Brotherhood to Egyptian Coptic Christians: Convert to Islam or pay jizya tax

Koran 9:29
So how is that Arab Spring working in Egypt:
The Muslim Brotherhood and its supporters have began forcing the roughly 15,000 Christian Copts of Dalga village in Egypt to pay a jizya tax as indicated in Koran 9:29, author and translator Raymond Ibrahim reported on Sunday.
Jizya is the money, or tribute, “that conquered non-Muslims historically had to pay to their Islamic overlords ‘with willing submission and while feeling themselves subdued’ to safeguard their existence,” Mr. Ibrahim explained.
According to Fr. Yunis Shawqi, who spoke yesterday to Dostor reporters in Dalga, all Copts in the village, “without exception,” are being forced to pay the tax.
“[The] value of the tribute and method of payment differ from one place to another in the village, so that, some are being expected to pay 200 Egyptian pounds per day, others 500 Egyptian pounds per day,” Mr. Shawqi said, according to the translator.
That tax is about $30 to $60 a day.  That would annoy the hell out of a person with a western income (and be intolerable), but that rate would be absolutely crippling to the average Egyptian is making way less than $600 a month (especially in rural Upper "Southern" Egypt).

Update:
Christians killed in Egypt for failing to pay the jizya tax...
