Women Eating Cannoli

 la dolce vita

DaTechGuy had a post from CPAC about Kellyanne Conway and Sean Hannity taping.  Apparently Pete also gave Kellyanne a cannoli (according to RSM).  And Kellyanne loves cannoli.

Some of these pictures below are from Florence. Florence? That is probably a less authentic cannoli than one you might get in New York or Boston (which at least might be made by Sicilian immigrants). Cannoli are a Sicilian desert.

All Gone!

Here's another Sicilian Cannoli Recipe

March for Life 2017

Donald Trump is hardly perfect, but as Ace notes, he is willing to take the media on over their own biases in a way none of us have ever seen. And that is something to be thankful for. And Vice President Mike Pence is the highest ranked politician ever to attend this march (and this is not mere posing, since Pence has a long history of attending before today).

So while the left spins itself into butter, the right needs to focus on the opportunity right in front of us. I'm quickly getting tired of conservative pundits like Kevin Williamson and John Podhortez lecturing us. I generally like Kevin and John, but they are not being objective (perhaps they need a White Russian, and no not some pale prostitute in a Moscow hotel). As a former #NeverTrumper Erick Erickson notes, there is a lot to be thankful for. And it's week one.

With all due respect Kevin, you state "[i]f the Right gets a couple of good Supreme Court justices, corporate-tax reform, and some meaningful regulatory relief, we can call that a win." Really? Try to control your enthusiasm. Pause a second and then think what that really means. That would be an awesome victory. Think of what could have been if Hillary Clinton won (an alternative dystopian future I thought we would be heading into on the morning of November 8). Trump will also likely appoint half the federal bench during his first term. For me, it's been a little Christmas morning every day since.

When Trump screws up (and he will) then you critics can say something. Until then, I am going to enjoy the winning and encourage the Trump Administration to do more positive things.

Anthony Weiner is a dick... Update: DaTechGuy asks, how is Democrat Weiner offering jobs at Politico? Looks like there is more than back scratching going on...

He has a lovely wife and child and he does this?
This is pathological stuff. Weiner has a serious problem, with lies and denial. I hope he can work this out (although my advice to Huma would be run, don't walk from this guy) but he is not fit to be an elected official.

New Yorkers, seriously, you can do better.  A lot better.  Huma, same for you.

Huma: He kept sexting after he resigned from Congress!

Update:
Mandy Nagy at Legal Insurrection has more...
There are eight million stories in the naked city...and that is just Anthony Weiner!
Anthony Weiner's Press Conference is painful to watch!
Rejected Anthony Weiner Twitter Handles that did not make the cut...
Weiner used multiple porn actor names in on line affairs...
Democrats embarassed by Huma's support of Weiner...
Ex Obama Campaign Worker Involved in the Weiner Scandal...
die Weinerschitzels...(good one Chip)

DaTechGuy: Anthony Weiner offering jobs at Politico?  How does that work?

Hollywood is full of child molesters...

The Other McCain and Da Tech Guy quote from Corey Feldman on being sexually exploited in Hollywood. I am not surprised. And of course with many stage parents more concerned with fame than the welfare of their children, it is not that surprising that these criminals know they can prey on these children (and get away with it). The media likes to slam the Catholic Church and the Boy Scouts, but when it comes to Hollywood the attention is not quite as intense.

I hope Corey Feldman speaks out.

TOM asks why aren't you homeschooling? The opposite of the stage mom are the parents who give of their time for their children's education.
TOM: Obsessed, who me?

A Republican candidate and his establishment GOP supporters chase Newt Gingrich...

Déjà vu

"The creature was a party of boys, marching..."

Prior Posts:
What goes around comes around... (Do you remember what Newt was doing just a few weeks ago?)
Romney claims Newt was not a Reagan supporter...  (Mitt obviously took Smitty's advice...a bit too much)

The Conservative Choice:

This has become an interesting topic — especially now that I see support among many of our conservative opinion leaders moving toward Romney — even as many of these same opinion leaders took Santorum’s side during the Schiavo debate. Suddenly, however, they seem to fear Santorum as a religious social engineer, so much so that they’re beginning to throw their weight behind a candidate who is both the architect of ObamaCare (and frankly, is unlikely to repeal it) and has ties to the Wall Street culture the left (and even some TEA Party types concerned with cronyism) has set-up as a caricature they will play a role in the 2012 elections.  I am not a social conservative — as Rachel herself seems to know. I am no less a classical liberal now than I’ve been all along. But from what I can tell, and I’ve been arguing this for a very long time now, dating back to my open disdain for the Trent Lotts of the GOP, the biggest danger to our foundational principles, outside of direct assault from the left, is a right that comes to power as the putative corrective, and then simply reinforces the ways of the establishment.
Think about it.
Update:   More Jeff Goldstein:
Gingrich’s (and Perry’s) attacks on Romney’s private equity work at Bain brought them jeers not just from Romney Republicans but from conservatives, as well. And so the organized attacks on Gingrich — and there’s no doubt from where they’re coming — shouldn’t be brushed aside as somehow “not surprising” and therefore palatable.

Self defense inspiration of the day...

Feminist empowerment you can believe in...

Roxeanne DeLuca and Da Tech Guy note a woman who deserves our thanks, prayers, and help.
McKinley said she asked the dispatcher, "I've got two guns in my hand -- is it OK to shoot him if he comes in this door? I'm here by myself with my infant baby, can I please get a dispatcher out here immediately?""I can't tell you that you can do that but you do what you have to do to protect your baby," the dispatcher said. The 911 conversation lasted for 21 minutes. Then the door gave in. "I waited till he got in the door.  They said I couldn't shoot him until he was inside the house.  So I waited until he got in the door and then I shot him," McKinley told KFOR. Martin kicked in the door and charged at McKinley with his knife, but she said she shot at him before he could get to her.
To have to go through something like this after the death of her husband is horrible, but fortunately this story has a happy ending.  Well at least for the good guys.
