Pondering music

I been listening to this latest offering from my email notifications, I dip in and listen to some of them and today they came up with this from the Kompakt label

which I found to be quite exquisite, thing is I already have Industrial, jungle, heavy dance, pop, soft rock, dark wave, punk rock, goth, trip hop, psychedelic, art house, indie, metal, space rock, etc in my collection, this is perplexing, often enough I buy something and forget to play it, or only play it cos I bought it, I don’t know which for sure!

The thing with music these days, instead of buying the odd album here and there, I could go to a music service and have access to loads more than I might ever need for hardly any outlay, for instance, I listened to my fav Belle and Sebastian album the other day, thoroughly enjoyed it, hummed the songs for 48 hours, very enjoyable, so today I just googled to ask which is the best album, and its not the one I love so much, in fact it wasn’t even rated in their top ten, so off I go to YouTube, listening to samples from other albums, but it didn’t grab me the same, so is that because I’m right and they’re wrong, and if not, am I missing out? If I had a music service, I might not waste my time on the one I bought, just cos I (wrongly) bought that one, but anyhow, I don’t care, I bought that one after I heard the song “The Party Line” when I was out shopping, and I loved it cos it was a rare political statement worth hearing at that time, politics were really dry and it cheered me up no end to hear that refreshing view, I got the album and loved the whole thing – if I had a music service, that effect would be watered down to the point of dissolution in my opinion.

Well, lets see, here a track from that album, its not really anything, just clever little ditties, that’s what I like about it!
