Fab Free Designer Friday – 1/20/2017 – PoshTale

Hello There Fab Free’rs! Thanks for coming by. It’s been a long Friday so I am happy to end the day on a positive note and tell you about another of the Fabulous Fab Free Designers, PoshTale. This quaint shop is decorated with a little bit of renaissance flair that lends its self to the modern fantasy style of clothing you’ll find in the shop. There are even a pair of handsome suits of armor at the entrance. Most items are ladies mesh clothing, though you’ll find some applier clothing as well. I also came across one or two mens items. PoshTale describes their own style as fantasy fashion, and I think that holds true for most of the items, however many of the styles are modern enough to be worn in an every day setting.

At the landing point pictured above, you’ll find three cutely packaged group gifts sitting on the counter. The PoshTale is FREE to join, making these gifts completely FREE as well. You’ll also see an ad for a FREE gift available at the Womens Stuff Lounge. Just click the photo and you’ll be given a landmark to the Womens Stuff Lounge where you can pick up the gift PoshTale has there.

There are also several other opportunities for FREE gifts at PoshTale. Of course my personal favorite of which is the Fab Free exclusive group gift. Yes, I know I am biased, however this FREE gift is quite lovely. It was previously blogged by Kathryn here. You will of course need to wear your Fab Free tag to collect this gift. Just above the Fab Free gift at PoshTale you’ll find a Midnight Madness board. Also present is the usual wall of information showcasing the store affiliations. Finally you’ll not want to miss the lucky boards. There are four lucky boards just around the side of the front counter. Spelling 101

School Is In Session

Hey there FabFree! In my last post I showed you a group gift by MonaLISA [HERE], and as I was digging through the rest of the items I picked up at the same time, I came across this great business suit that had a real teachery kind of feel to me. It reminded me that “someone” was picking on my Canadian spelling last week in blog comments posted [HERE] and I had threatened to school him on the subject.

I honestly have no idea why we have different spellings for the same words between Canada and the USA. It’s probably one of those things we’ll never figure out with history going back and forth… Just saying… I wasn’t wrong!

Smiles on a Cloudy Day

Hello there, Fabulouses! It has been a number of cold, gray, rainy days in a row where I am in RL, so I guess that influenced my selection of outfit and location for today’s blog post. With a couple of lamps to guide our way, Ripley and I set out to explore the snowy It All Starts With a Smile sim. Rip never has to worry about getting the chills with his luxurious fur coat, and lucky for me, with my cozy knitted outfit and scarf from VIPs Creations, I stayed toasty warm all day as well!

Nothing Goes Together Like Winter and a Sweater

Unless of course it’s a knitted skirt, fleecy scarf, and a sweater! My entire outfit today from my shawl to my shoes is a free group gift for members of the VIPs Creations group, which by the way, is free to join! I just love it when I get a complete outfit all in one swoop! The soft, woolen, long-sleeved sweater wrapped my arms in comfort, while its cropped waistline offered a sexy peek at my midsection. Just so we could keep snuggly warm, the generous designer tucked a black scarf in the package to drape around our necks. It resizes with just a touch, so you can adjust it as needed for your avatar. A thick, knitted gray skirt which fell to just above my knees, perfectly coordinated with the hue of my top, and rounded out my outfit. Finally, before setting out with Ripley, I slipped on the Cecilia shoes, which are also included as part of the gift. These leather high heels are packed with details such as three buckles and delicate knotted laces. They were the perfect footwear to shield my toes from old Jack Frost. Socking It To Me

I Don’t Understand

There is one thing about men that I will never understand… Actually there are several things, but one strikes me particularly hard today – Why oh why, do the socks go on the floor beside the laundry hamper? I even moved the hamper where he was tossing them last week, thinking to myself “Ok… if I can’t beat him, I need to join him“, but no… The socks are still beside… the… laundry … hamper.

I am considering that perhaps there is some kind of negative magnetic force that keeps them from going inside the basket. What else could it possibly be? I am reading up on the subject… “How To Understand Him”. Wish me luck.

At Least One Thing Was Clear

One thing that was really clear to me today was that I was really glad I picked up the Zenovia Outfit as a free group gift at MonaLISA. Sun in my eyes

All bright and shiny

Was it just me or did the weekdays feel exceptionally long this time around? It’s probably no use dwelling on things as time would certainly be better spent looking forward to the upcoming weekend. I’m not the only one either as Commander’s been pretty well behaved recently (not that there’s any carpet left for him to chew up) and even the spotty weather seems to be giving way to bright sunshine. Not wanting to let such a golden opportunity slip me by, I snuck in some time to practice doing headshots and to, of course, bask in the warmth.

Fridays made even better

Back when I was very very very new to Second Life, I heard about Fifty Linden Fridays and being the silly goose that I am thought that there was some place giving out 50 lindens every Friday. A little investigation proved that things were way better than I thought as this weekly shopping event always seemed to be filled with a diverse number of high-quality items that are going for just 50 lindens. I discovered some of my now favorite stores through FLF, an example of this being Wasabi Pills. For today’s current round of FLF, the store is offering the Vic hairstyle something that I snapped up right away for it’s cute and messy vibe. Don’t you think it’ll pair off really well with your slouchy outfits or if you’re going for that ragamuffin look? Anyway, the Vic hairstyle is non rigged mesh hair which means that it came be resized and repositioned. Permissions are set to copy so you can make as many backups as you want. Personally, I had no problems at all fitting the hairstyle and had a good deal of fun deciding between the two bangs options (style A) included in the package. Also included is an alpha layer and two different huds; one to control the color of the hairstyle and the other to control the color of the hair accessories. The Vic hairstyle will only be out on sale today so don’t hesitate to get your copy.

Smack!

It’s been a good long while since I’ve given any midnight mania board a good tap. Since the holiday rush has now become a thing of the past, I’ve gotten into the habit again and discovered that WoW Skins has added a new Midnight Mania board to its already generous lineup. This MM board is open to the public and currently, contains the Nour skin in tan. In the prize package, you’ll receive two system skins (one with cleavage and the other without), a brow shape and eyebrow tattoos. Choose between black or red eyebrows or if you have a totally different look in mind there is a tattoo layer provided that completely hides the eyebrows. Nour’s youthful look was simply perfect to spend my Friday in and I was more than pleased to have been able to get it for free.

At the time of writing this post, the target numbers for the Midnight Mania boards at WoW Skins has been lowered so go and give it a good smack. While you’re there try your luck at the no group needed lucky letter chairs or if you’re inclined, join the group to gain access to all the group perks (full access to MM boards and Lucky Letters as well as all past group gifts and the current one). WoW Skins has a one-time join fee of 450L.

And that’s a wrap. I’m going to go sit myself on a lounge chair somewhere and read up on how to re-carpet an apartment. -Sighs- A least I’ll be warm while doing it.
