I am feeling so lucky today, FabFree.  Lucky because I have been given the awesome gift of this lovely blog to care for.  Yes, it sounds corny and flowery and trite, but I honestly mean it!  When Bunnie poked me with the idea of trying out some hunts, I thought “Hey, why not?”.  I’ve been pretty blown away with all the response we’ve gotten, from kind designers who have thanked us, to hunters who thank us for organizing.  I love it when a plan comes together!

Not only did Bunnie Francis mastermind the whole FabFree St. Patty’s Day Hunt (invitations! posters! HUD! and a billion more things!), she also put together some pretty lovely prizes for our hunters at her store, Paper.Sparrow.  I picked up the Gnomes sweater and the knickers to go with.  I feel festive and cozy all at once.  This prize costs only 5L.  Don’t you love the little gnomes?  Peek at the key below to get a better look!

Gaze

Another super lovely human that I’ve gotten to know through FabFree is Gaze Satin of Afterparty.  He is SO kind and generous, and we have had some really great conversations while working on our stuff.  On the FabFree St. Patty’s Day Hunt, he’s got these super cute earrings (zomg neon gradient gorgeousness!) for just 5L and loads of really pretty clover-shaped lamps (5L as well) that I’ve strewn all over the place for a shot of pretty, good luck. Excitingly, the green pack (item 3) is entirely free!  Woot!

Shopping from Home: SL Style!

Hey gang!

As fun as it is to run ourselves ragged shopping like lunatics in world, there is a certain satisfaction in staying in the comfort and seclusion of your cozy sl home and scooping up bahgains anyway.  I’ve brought a handful of such goodies here to show you today.  (marketplace show n tell time kiddies!  woot!)  From clothing, to props to decor, you can find it all, and find it I did!  I spent a whopping (are you ready?) 134L and I got a dress, shoes, teacups with multiple poses and wall decor.

Lets begin with the dress.  I got this soooooper cute dress for only 65L from DejaVu Designs.  It comes with a HUD that has 40 colors and comes in these sizes:

  • Classic

These cute tiptoe sneakers, which I Lurrrrvvveee, come from ROC which has so many cute affordable shoes, I barely know where to begin (I have my eye on another cute pair I think I will scoop up next time and blog).  I got these for 49L, they come with a HUD that gives you 25 color choices so your cute sneakers will *always* match, and they fit:

Now the little teacups with poses come from LISP Bazaar (I love their stuff!), they cost 10L and come with a choice of 6 really cute poses and you have your choice of steaming or not steaming.  I wanted my tea to be hot cause it’s been chilly, so I chose steaming.

Last but not least, see those totally adorbs string lights hanging on the wall behind me?  Those are from The Black Forest and they cost me 10L.  They are really sweet in person, especially considering the price.  1 prim for each “curtain”.

There’s something infinitely 80’s and infinitely summer about roller skating outfits.  Two things I enjoy thoroughly!  I’m all about new wave music, bright sunshine, and general laissez-faire attitudes.  Throw in a bit of bubblegum and fizzy drinks (probably not at the same time though) and you’ve got the recipe for a very happy Aline.

Sexy!

My sexy little roller skating outfit is completely and entirely free, and I’m living for it!  I picked it up at Miix Event as they’re having one of their famous little hunts.  Just join the Miix Event group for free, then hunt for the little ice cream cones that are hiding around the event.  I picked up the tank top, shorts, ice cream cone and even the roller skates, socks and armbands (these last two come with appliers for Maitreya, Belleza and Omega, as well as System Layers).  I super love the roller skates because they actually animate your avatar to skate when you’re moving!  Soooo good.

The Privateer

The Privateer

Good afternoon, FabFree.  One of my absolute favorite Hunts has come ’round again: The Steam Hunt. This year’s theme is Steampunk Pirates which only increased my enthusiasm as I often consider myself something of a … well, pirate is such a negatively charged word. Let’s say ‘privateer’ instead.  With that in mind, I headed over to the local pub for a drop of ale. Or should I say grog.

The latest staple for my adventuring wardrobe is from Contraption and its free for the Steam Hunt. As with everything I have encountered from Contraption the ‘Atreus Frock coat’ is a stunning build. Every detail is perfection. I anticipate wearing this quite often.

The Steam Hunt has over 90 ports of call for the intrepid hunter but you only have until the 28th of March to hoist the black flag and set sail.
