Happy Valentine’s Day to all. Many of us are looking for love. As usual, I am spending the day with my RL kitty. We must be in a cat theme today (see Beachy’s post). As you may be aware the Valentine Shop & Hop ends in only 2 days so hurry over to our Fabulous spreadsheet and look for anything you may want.

Are Those Really Angel Wings?

I have learned that one of the places to find outfits that are different from the usual hearts, etc. is deviousMind! (aka !dM). I wasn’t disappointed one bit when I unpacked the free gift fr0m their Shop & Hop booth. I’m wearing the Valentine Vixen outfit today. It comes with two dresses; one is a sheer version. And it includes the beautiful AmosWings.

The upper part of the dress is a net texture. The look is original with it’s big puffy sleeves. Also, the color shown is the one included. I don’t know why but I get a kind of “Creola of Second Life Farms” vibe. I did manage to wear it on my LaraX body with the help of a few alpha cuts.

Today I am wearing the free Tyra shoes that are platforms and socks. The included hud allows you to change the shoe, sock, and sock borders textures/colors. They are pretty versatile and are a pair I will hang on to. They’re sized for LaraX, Legacy, & Reborn.

Gosh, I Needed These Braids

Don’t you love Fifty Linden Fridays? I always check the sales gallery because in my mind, a girl cannot have enough hair in SL. I wish changing my hair was this easy IRL. FLF’s offer from Stealthic is this great style with long braided pigtails with cute little hair bows. The basic pack of the Trace hair will set you back $50L. It has a number of head/breast sizes and includes six basic color huds. No styler is in included in the basic pack but it is available at the store for an additional price.

Yo Ho! Nope, I’m not a pirate. I’m just a girl in a colorful dress. I’m happy to show you one of the group gifts from La Feminique. Someone mentioned in chat that the lucky boards at La Feminique do not require a group. So, of course, I had to check it out. While there, I perused the group gifts and came to the conclusion that the $150L group join fee was worth it.

One thing I noticed about the gifts is that must of them have vibrant colorful textures. I love these so I joined up. The dress I’m wearing today is the group gift for May. The Amanda dress comes in this somewhat muted floral texture. A contrasting belt, ties, and ruffle on the skirt bring it all together.

Went There Too

We know Aline almost fainted when she found out about the 20th Anniversary Sale at AlaskaMetro. As Aline mentioned in her post, everything is marked down to $20L. If you need (want) more makeup make sure that you get to the store. The group join fee is $20L for the month of June during the celebration. There are a number of group gifts for various heads available.

I didn’t spend much while I picked up makeup and a skin (OMG! I changed skin designers). I couldn’t pass up this lovely skin in medium tones at this price for both the body & head. All it cost me is $40L. Another pretty good deal imho. I’m also wearing a new nail polish, Holly Glitter. It’s a free group gift.

You know that maintaining a store in SL for 20 years is quite the accomplishment. Visit the store & shop till you drop.

Hey Readers!

I went whale watching today, mostly because I got a free outfit and it felt like something I should do when dressed in a vest, if I don’t have brandy and a cigar.  I’m a simple guy, so even casual outfits feel fancy at times.

Circle Back

Whale, whale, whale, what do we have here?  Office speak?   Pffft. I like the work of fashion blogger better than the office. Nonetheless I am circling back, because this gift is still up and I want to make sure no one misses these before they change again.  You know I’ve done two posts already with gifts from the DMSE group and now this is my 3rd.  Duk, Mazzaro, Sturnsh and Elementtare have a shared group, and every few weeks have been putting gifts out in their weekend sales area.  There’s one gift from each store, and today I’m wearing the gift from Elementtare.  It’s a full fatpack of both the shorts and the vest (with the t-shirt included) How generous!  It comes sized for:

Edgy Shoes

As some of us do, I checked today’s sales ads. I’m always on the lookout for low-priced items and freebies/cheapies. Stiff has the Rano heels on sale today for only $25L! They are unusual but that’s kind of my thing at times. These could be anti-valentine’s heels with the barbed wire on them. There are a number of colors to choose from. I do love the ability to change the texture of the barbed wire. I think this ties in beautifully with the dress. They are sized for Kupra, Legacy, Maitreya, and Reborn.

New Shadows

I love the name of my eyeshadow, Beverly Hills. Sounds rich, doesn’t it? It sure does look rich. It’s on sale at Poema for Hello Tuesday for $50L. There are 9 lovely shades in the hud. They’re great for dressing up your look, especially for a night out look. Run and grab it before it poofs!

Lastly, if you’re looking for a few nearly free poses head over to Stun Poses. Go to the right side of the reception desk and you’ll find a few animations/poses on sale for $2L each. Today I used the Alice pose for my picture.

Hello Fabulous Readers!  I am so excited to join the Fab Free team!  I’ve been a long time Fab Free member, and it is a dream come true to blog for all of you.  I’m looking forward to sharing my fashion finds as I journey around the grid, so without further ado, let’s dive right in.

Birds of a Feather…

I don’t know about you, but I love it when I head to a store to pick up an item and just happen to spot another gift that I knew nothing about ahead of time.  It’s definitely a welcome added bonus!  That happened to me the other day when I followed Aline’s advice in her post here, and stopped by Ewa Boutique to pick up their latest Fab Free group gift.  Right away, I noticed the sleek Aghata dress vendor on the wall.  All I had to do was change my group tag to the FitMesh Fanatics group, tap the board, and pay zero Linden dollars …. easy peasy!  Since the group is free to join, my budget was just as thrilled as I was with my discovery.  This strapless frock hugs my curves and allows my shoulders to soak up some late summer sunshine.  The gift includes adorable lacing and ties on the sleeves, a texture change HUD, and a coordinating pair of Valkire heels.  If red is not up your alley, you have 11 other hues to select from.  I’m sure you will love this dress as much as I do!

It’s Beggining to Feel A Lot Like Spring Time

Good day my lovely witches and wizards! Have I ever mentioned how much I LOVE all things Harry Potter? I have been a Potter-maniac since I grew up with the series as a child and this week I was able to collect a few free and on-sale goodies in SL that are HP-inspired! What a treat!

Goodies from Muggleborn

At least one store in SL that is partially inspired by the Harry Potter series is Muggleborn, although it certainly takes an adult twist on the theme. Note that Muggleborn is an Adult-rated sim and if you are not over 18 you definitely cannot visit it; there are a number of adult-only themed items sold here. Aside from that warning, however, I absolutely LOVE this store! They even have this AMAZING top, shorts and ties set on their lucky boards to play for all to win. It includes a top, shorts and a tie. There are different styling/ stripping options for the top and tie, and the shorts can be adjusted for male/trans avatars as well. The tie also has different styling options. Each item comes with an HUD to change the colour pattern to the respective four Hogwarts houses (Gryffindor, Slytherin, Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff). To get these items, walk towards the back of the store until you see the “muggle” lucky boards and join Muggleborn‘s free group to play and win this amazing outfit!

The skins include two tones each and the makeup is included in the skins; they can’t be removed. These are beautiful, so I just had to mention them!
