So Long Sweet Summer

Hey Fabs!  I stumbled on the cutest little hunt yesterday.  Sometimes I come across store names and I think “I’ve gotten gifts at events, but never seen the store” so I go to check it out, and look for freebies 😉  That’s what happened to me yesterday, and I found info on this End of Summer Hunt happening at the Luminous Hallway SIM!

Thrilled

I will be thrilled to see summer go, but until then, I shall celebrate it in all manner that we do every summer – with watermelon, and playing in the sprinklers 😉   My entire outfit today was free, and they were all prizes in the End Of Summer Hunt.  I’m not sure if there’s hunt info on the web about it, I just happened to see a sign in one of the stores and went for it.  The participating stores are Flamingoes, NYNE, CHOU and Loa.  The hunt is totally free, and each store has 3 items for you to find.  You’re looking for a little drink in a coconut!  I thought the outfit from NYNE really suited Aline so I hope she gets the time to hunt and show it to you  😉 (it’s a busy time of year for her).  I picked up this adorable watermelon romper, watermelon earrings and watermelon plush at Flamingoes.  The romper comes sized for:

I don’t think this picture is what they mean by the phrase ‘Farm to Table’ but that’s what it makes me feel like … lol.  Country girls, farm girls, they can be glamour girls too.  This simple but elegant dress from Ala Folie can be dressed up or down, but was light and airy enough for the country farm.

I went through my SL21B Shop&Hop folder to pull out things I really hope to get the chance to show you, this dress is absolutely one of my favorites.  Ala Folie makes beautiful designs, and this dress (in black or red) is their free gift at the SL21B S&H!  It comes sized for:

  • Prima Busty/Petite
  • Senra Jamie

There’s a jewelry set in the package too, so don’t miss that, but I wanted to show off some other designers while I was here.

Accompanyments

It might be hard to see, but we received a really cool free nose and mouth piercing from [If Designs] at SL21B.  It comes with multiple parts, you can pick and choose which you want to wear, with a full color and gem hud.  I didn’t wear the nose portion.  It’s rigged for Avalon but worked great on my Erin.

I added one of the extra free gifts from Black Lotus at SL21B S&H.  Their main gift is 400L gift credits, but they have some earrings along the side walls that are also gifts.  Cre wore the big hoops the other day, these are the thick earrings from (her old brand?) Yannomi.  This is why you can’t rush through the S&H, there’s always more to find 😉

My last addition is this gorgeous tiara, because what country farm princess is complete without one?  The Idania Headband is the free gift from Beloved Jewelry at SL21B S&H and comes in 2 pieces, with a full metal and gem hud too.  So delicately beautiful.

As Sky mentioned, we’re now at just about 2 weeks left for SL21B, so if you’ve been waiting, time to hop!

‘Sup peeps!  I’m feeling pretty comfortable in this blogging gig, I got 2 posts behind me and I think I’m a natural 😉  I’m sure Beachy will have some kind of critique for me but I can roll my eyes just as well as she can.

She sent me over to the MIIX Event to pick up the mens’ gifts, and there are a decent amount.  You need to join the free HYPE Events group to pick up the gifts.  I’m wearing 2 of them in today’s post:

  • FREE Pants by Arte (sized for Jake, Gianni, Legacy)
  • FREE Visor by Impacts Store (unrigged with color hud)

I hear there’s over 80 gifts at the MIIX event, probably 10 or so are for men, but every little gift helps, hey?  The MIIX Event closes on April 20th (more about that in Beachy’s post I’m sure 😜) so you’ve got time, even if you’re a last minute kind of guy.

No shirt, no shoes, no service

I had to go searching for a shirt and shoes to wear with these pants and hat, and I lucked out over at Treized, where they had BOTH of the items I needed as group gifts.  Better yet, the Treized group is free to join.  You can find this Summer tank top on the wall to the right of the door.  It comes with a 5 texture hud and it’s sized for:

Those who wander

Those who wander

Do you guys ever get on the Grid and just wander? Pick a random place to start… maybe you saw a photo location you liked and popped over to see… Then it led you somewhere else and further. That’s what I did today. Just went for a wander to see the sights. I am constantly amazed at the beauty of some of the SIMs. I spent some time at Sparrow Springs and just relaxed watching the world go by.  A big part of my enjpyment today was the comfy casual “walk about” clothes I picked up for almost free.

Long and Short

My new Capris are from Graffitiwear and I picked them up for free on the Lucky Board. These are the ‘Free Spirit’ capris and they come with a HUD for a ton of color and pattern choices too. You do need to be a group member to play the Lucky Board but the group is only 25L to join and it’s well worth it for the Boards and the gifts.

Hey There, FabFree! I got a bit of a rumor this evening that our old friend Moira Serenity, designer of Nerdy Girl was having a little sale. Now the Nerdy Girl store closed it’s door some time ago but Moira always maintained a Marketplace store. I love the cute and nerdy designs so I hurried over to the Market Place and YES… there is a 1L sale at Nerdy Girl!

I picked up this cute little crop top and comfy shorts for just 1L each. That’s a real bargain since both pieces come with HUD for ten different designs. I picked this one cause… WOLVERINES!! **

I have no idea how long this sale will last so if you need some cute and casual and Nerdy in you life hurry up!

I know I’m going back a few years quoting a song from the 90s but dang it, that’s a good song. And when I saw the roses on Seniha’s new group gift… it popped in my head.

I feel so bad for my avatar sometimes. She’s like, “No big deal, just hanging out in some weird, creepy warehouse type place. And that’s probably blood (and who knows what else) on the floor. Anyway, let’s go shopping!” I’m telling you, she’s got it rough.

Do you shop at Suidical Unborn? I love that store. It’s got a really cool sexy/goth kinda vibe. The eyes there are beautiful and there is some really cool gory type stuff too, if you’re into that…which I kind of am. I recently joined the group and one of the many gifts available is this super cute cropped sweater. It has a HUD so you can pick different colors and comes in 5 fitmesh sizes from XS to XL.

These boots were made for….

…getting bloody, apparently? Or walking. Yes, we’ll say that they were made for walking. When you land at A&D you’ll be invited to join the free group. You’ll want to do just that, because group membership is required to get these free boots that I’m wearing and a few other group gifts as well. They are unisex, with sizes included for females and males. Actually all of the gifts are unisex, except for a shirt that’s just for the guys. Definitely worth going to check out.
