Hey hey Fabs, everyone baking cookies and getting ready for Santa?  It’s been too hot and humid IRL for me to make my annual meringue cookies, but Santa gets plenty from the rest of you I hope.  Besides, I don’t need to bribe Santa with cookies, I’m on the NICE list!  Porta, on the other hand ….

Vroom!

So I had so much I wanted to blog in this picture today, but I had to choose wisely and I just HAD to show off my new van! LOL.  Every year the MUGMAS calendar is my favorite (well, it’s in a tie with UNA, and some others … lol) and I generally blog it at the end of the season.  MUGMAS lasts for 12 days and you can get past gifts!  The group is 250L to join, but gah, the adorable stuff I bring home every year!  These are some of the gifts I’ve gotten:

  • Free Vested plaid top (rigged for Lara X/Petite X/Flat, Legacy/Perky/V-Tech, Reborn/Waifu/V-Tech)
  • Free PJ pants (slippers attached – rigged for Lara X, Legacy, Reborn)
  • Free Christmas Van (rigged for Lara X, Legacy, Reborn, with and without pose)

One of the things I love most about clothing at Mug is that her sizes are in a hud, so even if you change bodies often, you don’t have to hold on to a bunch of sizes.

I added a headband I got from Mug’s sister store, Dots.  Dotmas lasts 7 days, and the group join is 99L and there’s all kinds of cute wearables and holdables in that calendar.

I love that both of their calendars are 100% holiday themed.  I look forward to it every year.  All the items in both calendars (that have been released so far) are on display in each store, so you can still join and bring them all home with you.

There’s a lot to be said for Santa’s elves, and they never get enough credit.  Most of the songs are about Santa, even his reindeer, but they rarely mention his elves.  Thankfully I’ve got some free gifts to celebrate the elves, and I found a song that’s all about them too!

3 Cheers for advents!

You guys know by now that I’m a total fan girl of Yasum.  Her designs are sexy and sassy, fit like a glove, and she uses the prettiest textures.  Yasum does an advent every year, and it’s completely free, you don’t need a group or anything.  The best part is that you can get past gifts, so you don’t have to worry about missing a day.

Azlyn likes to make cute decor too, so in the front of the calendar, you’ll find unisex hats and different wearables, along with some nice decor (the cat chair!).  On Day 15 though, I got a message that today’s gift is just for the ladies, and I ran!  I came home with a perfect LBD (little black dress) for the holidays.  You’ll get a texture hud for the metals too.  It comes rigged for:

In Day 13 is this Elfs Pride hat, which was perfect with the dress.  You can stop into Yasum at any time before Christmas to pick up these free gifts.

Peace on Earth

It’s time for the Peace on Earth Hunt!  I’m so glad this free hunt is still around after so many years – It was definitely one of the first hunts I ever took part in, way back in my early days in SL.  The prize I hunted for (hidden in a little planet earth) is this fun dress from C!L (it also comes with a little top hat!).  It’s just close enough to wearing a Christmas Tree without actually doing so.  Best of all, it’s completely free!  You can find all the info and hints on the Peace on Earth Hunt right HERE.

Heh, this was a fun blog post Fabs.  I remember seeing this dumpster out on the grid last year, but found it again at the DRD Hallowbrook advent calendar and knew exactly what I wanted to blog standing in front of it.

Holiday anthem

I have a few gifts from random places to tell you about.  First, as is their custom, the designers at Anthem have placed low priced items under the Christmas trees for you to shop.  A lot of them have pictures on them, some of them don’t, and they’re all 25L-50L.  I picked up a few things, but the one in this photo is my jacket and T-shirt from [REDGIRL].  I do adore this store so this was an easy purchase.  I’m sure it was 50L.  It comes with 3 holiday jacket textures and is rigged for:

  • Lara X
  • Legacy
  • Reborn

Anthem is open until December 30th.

Gothmas

I shopped around at Gothmas, because while the season is beautiful and lovely, some days you just aren’t in the holiday spirit.  While this event doesn’t have ‘gifts’, I did find a few freebies around!

As is her custom, La Maldita Bruja made a gift to go with her outfit for sale there, and it’s the BOM bloody makeup and ornaments impaled on my face.  Brilliant.  You can find it in her booth and purchase it for 0L and bring it home.

I also found these ‘Holiday socks’ from Akikazu.  Now they are labeled right and left, and I’m not sure where she intended for them to go, but it’s your choice, really.  I decided to use them as pigtail holders and I think they’re adorable.  They could work as earrings, or just to hold too, I guess.  I just clicked the box for free (did I need a group?  I don’t recall), and they slid right into my inventory.  There’s also a batty santa hat there as a gift by TLB, but I wasn’t able to wear it in this picture.

Gothmas closes after December 15th, so this one is a little time sensitive.

How could I?

I almost forgot my free nails!  Venge has a free advent calendar, and no group is needed AND you can get past days.  Every day so far has been the prettiest set of nails.  I plucked these from Day 7, the Dark Holiday nails, because they were perfect for this photo.  Each one comes with a hud so you can change a few designs on each nail, and they come rigged for:

  • Signature – Alice

Some of the packages don’t unpack all the sizes, so if you see one of these sizes missing and you need it, drag it onto the ground and unpack it manually. 😉

The 2025 FabFree Advent Listing is LIVE!

Good evening Fab Fam!  The day you have been waiting for is almost here as December 1st is just a couple hours away!

The FabFree December 2025 Advent Listing is live!

For over a decade, Fabulously Free in SL has been posting a December Advent Listing and we pride ourselves in keeping this list up to date on a daily basis throughout the month!  The tradition continues this year with the 140+ stops  (Just to start with!!).  This list will be edited over the duration of December with small changes like link updates and store additions, but it is currently “mostly” complete so you’ll be ready with your list in hand to start your first day of Advent rounds tomorrow on December 1st!

Well would you look at that. I can’t believe it’s already time to start a new year! What a perfect excuse to put on that new beautiful gown, doll yourself up and pour yourself as much bubbly as you can handle 😉

2025

Wow, how are we already at a quarter century mark?  Time flies, when you know, you can have fun living the life you want in SL ….and look good living it.  In order to celebrate this milestone new year, I picked up a new gorgeous gown in the advent calendar over at Celestina’s to wear out tonight.   The picture of the dress is clearly shown on the advent so you know which one you’re buying, but for a quick in and out, it was in Day 23. Since we are a week past the 23rd, the gift now has a minimal cost of 35L.  It comes in all the sizes below:

  • Lara X/Maitreya
  • Legacy/Perky/Bombshell
  • Reborn
  • Gen X/Gen X Curvy
  • Kupra

For an added princess moment, I added a crown I got in Sofia’s advent calendar, on Day 27. The gift is a full gown and this crown, but I really just wanted the jewels for this shot. The full advent day should also cost you 35L if you want to pick it up.

Both Celestina’s and Sofia’s advent calendar require the group to purchase the items but the groups are free until tomorrow and both return to paid groups (250L) on January 1.   She has monthly group gifts, so if you wear a lot of gowns you’ll want to stay in this one.  The advent gifts will be available until January 1st (or 6th) for 35L each.

Drinking in the park

The backdrop for today’s picture was a gift in the Synnergy/Tavis advent calendar.  There’s all kinds of holiday backdrops and fun photo props in that calendar, and she’s generously made it available to get all the gifts for free until January 1st.  You need the Synnergy group  to get the advent gifts, but the group will remain free until the calendar is down, and then the group fee will return to 150L join.

I’m poppin’ bottles and pouring champagne for days here in the park, cheers!  I’ve got more than I can handle with this new group gift from Moon Rabbit 😉 This is her newest gift, it comes in a PBR and non-PBR version and it’s what I think I’ll need to get through this new year.  The Moon Rabbit group is 150L to join and there’s all kinds of fun group gifts you can pick up while you’re there.

Snowball Fight

Here I am Fabs, young Sky in all his glory.  My hair isn’t grey, my face has no wrinkles, I’m debating staying this way.  Did I find the fountain of youth?  Unfortunately not, but I did find a new free skin under the Christmas tree, and I’m really digging it!

SPLAT!

Now that I look young again, I give myself permission to act young, so I’m out here challenging Porta to a snowball fight.  Beachy tells me she’s a worthy opponent, but so far she hasn’t shown up.  My lips are getting chapped waiting on her to find her courage 😉

As I mentioned above, there’s some new free gifts over at Velour Mall, for both male and female bodies.  No group is needed to get these gifts, they’re just a generous gift from the designers there.  I brought home this new Rudolph skin from Voglia and surprisingly do look a lot like I did when I was young.  It’s such a cute skin, well made, great shading, I think I’ll use it on occasion when I find some ‘younger’ outfits to blog.  It comes in a fatpack of 10 Velour tones for EvoX maps with ear skins included.

I also picked up a gift from Velour, the ‘Cold Wind Lips’ that come in 12 tones and come in a Lelutka applier and BOM.  Honestly, it’s a great addition to this young skin, because when you’re young, you can stay out in the cold all day, lips blue, chapped and shivering, and convince yourself you’re not cold 😉

All these free gifts and more can be found under the Christmas tree in the courtyard of Velour Mall.

Seeing as though Porta hasn’t shown up for this snowball fight, I may as well wander over and get some hot cocoa and head home to sit in front of the fireplace.   I’m already dressed for comfort, as I’ve got new clothes from Furtacor.  My fuzzy hoodie is a gift for the Furtacor Men’s group, which is free to join.  You can find it on the information panel at the MIIX event.  It comes sized for:

It comes with a fatpack hud of 15 different holiday textures to choose from.

I saw the hoodie gift because I’m doing the free advent calendar at the MIIX event.  This calendar has a mix of male and female gifts, they generally switch every other day.  I think I picked up these PJ Pants on the 10th or 11th day, there’s a picture on the calendar of striped pajamas, it’s that day.  They come in this one texture and are sized for:

You need the free MIIX event group (Hype events) to get the gifts in this advent, but you can also get past gifts, which is such a blessing.

OK Fabbies, I know group space and money are tight at this time of year, but what if I told you that you could get 6 new gifts plus a bunch of older gifts, plus new gifts on the regular, all for 250L?  It’s a steal, especially coming from one of the cuuuuuuuuutest stores.

I tried my best

I did try and tell everyone in the Fab Free chat last week that CryBunBun was going to increase her group fee to 250L before Black Friday sales, but I know lots of you don’t read chat or aren’t here as much as I am to see chat, but I tried!  Nonetheless these group gifts are so worthy of the one time fee!  There are 6 new gifts on the wall at the front of the store and I’m showing you 2 of them today.  They’re all holiday themed, and will be gone at the end of the month, so if you love them you’ll have to act soon-ish.  Today I’m wearing the Snowflake Doll dress with (optional) sleeves.  It comes sized for:

Advent Day 2

My Angel wings necklace was a gift in the Yasum advent calendar for Day 2.  Her calendar is completely free, no group is needed for it and I believe you can get past gifts.    This necklace comes in gold and silver with a myriad of ribbon colors.  I look forward to her advent every year, and I really appreciate how generous she is with it.  You can find it in the female clothing section.
