Its not often I take part in blogger challenges but I felt this challenge was one worthy of being involved in. The Fashionably Bald Challenge was set by Silvia Oliver in honour of her friend Miss Shellbee who was diagnosed with cancer and will soon be facing chemotherapy. The good thing was, the cancer was detected VERY EARLY.. Early detection of cancer saves lives and its with this in mind that I am urging all of you to make sure that you are aware of how important it is to get all the regular check ups and tests and if you are in any doubt to seek advice from your doctor. This goes especially double for men who are sometimes not aware how important these checks are or don’t know what to look for because male cancers do not get the same publicity as female cancers.
It is possible that cancer could affect 1 in 3 of us either through ourselves or through someone we know.. those are scary odds. But if we are aware, we can save lives.. our own and those of the people we love. Miss Shellbee will have a tough year ahead and although I don’t know her and I have never met her, I wish her every ounce of love, light and best wishes for the coming months.
