How could we possibly top our free hair day from November 1st? Why, a free skin day, of course! I went a little off the beaten path for my choices, with some Mother Goose Lucky Board freebies, as well as a couple of their dollarbies, and 2 skins from a newer to me store, Curves. Oh, and yes, this is my shape in each skin. I love how you can look completely different depending on you skin.
First up, the Mother Goose skins. Mother Goose has been around for a long time, and always has loads of fun and unique skins in their Lucky Boards, as well as plenty of Dollarbies to choose from. If you are familiar with their skins, you know that they do not come with anything other than the skin, with the occasional slightly adjusted version thrown in, and an eyebrow shaper. That means no appliers…but I had an easy enough time colour matching to my SLink hands and feet. Not sure how easy it will be for other body parts, but I know there are lots of you out there that are still rocking your standard system avs, like myself. The Lucky Boards have super fast timers, so there is barely any waiting to get these great skins. Oh, and men..there are some there for you too. It’s well worth visiting, or in my case, re-visiting, to fill up your skin folder.

The other store I went to is Curves. I recently showed you a pretty L$20 skin from here, but there were also a few free skins, so I figured I’d show them off too. The Mia Blue Dreams skin is located in the discount room, and is free for everyone, just buy the box for L$0. BTW, it has a pretty little snowflake just under the left eye, perfect for the season! The second skin I am wearing, is a free SLF&O group gift, you just need to have your tag on to get it. There are a few extra pieces with the Mia skin, such as a set of eyes, a shape, and eyebrows, as well, the SLF&O gift has extras, including appliers for Tangos, Phat Azz, SLink hands and feet, and Wowmeh.

I hope you like the skins I chose to show you, but if none of these were to your tastes, both stores have many more options that are free and cheap to choose from, so explore away, and find yourself a new look. If only it were this easy in RL eh?
Happy Saturday everyone. My Mom and I are going out for some girls night fun tonight, and before I start thinking of what I’m going to wear for this RL outing, I thought I’d have some fun and doll myself up in SL for the very same thing. Any excuse to put on something pretty, am I right? LOL.
If you head over to B!asta, you will see that they are part of this years Dirty Turkey Hunt. The gift you need to find, is this lovely sweater and skirt combo called As A Feather. Both pieces are mesh, and while they are obviously made to go with each other, each piece would be great for mixing and matching with other items in your inventory. I had to include a shot of the sexy low back on the sweater, what a nice detail. B!asta is stop #22, and the hint for their prize is : Omg, one of these lights just stared at me – with turkey eyes!! If you hadn’t already guessed, I am a nail polish fiend. Both in RL and SL. Lucky for me, Alaskametro’s monthly Facebook gift for November, is a set of Autumn coloured, glittery, nail appliers. You get appliers for Eve, Maitreya, Omega and Slink, in this free for all gift. To claim it, you need to head to Alaskametro’s Facebook page and look under the promotions tab. Copy the keyword, and then in world, head over to the store. Stand near the poster of the gift, and type in /33 KEYWORD, with KEYWORD being replaced by what you copied from Facebook. I have to say, I had a hard time deciding which colour to show off.
As for the beautiful skin I have on, Niska in Pumpkin, with pretty orangey lips and eyeshadow, is a L$75 special that you will find at Lumae. It was supposed to be part of Lazy Sunday, but Lumiya forgot to apply for this last round, oops! So she decided to put it out at the Lazy Sunday price anyways. As with all of her skin specials, it comes with every applier you could possibly think of, along with several tattoo layers for things like freckles and cleavage. You have until November 21 to get this lovely skin at this price.

Well, the last couple of days I’ve been doing the latest Madpea Hunt, “Cry of the Peacock“. They say that when a Peacock cries… it rains… well, it is POURING in Mad City. Our job is to be the brave detective that frees the victims trapped souls. (The victims of the are the people from the prior hunt…. “The Room 326 Hunt” I wrote up this hunt before in my post “Returning to Room 326…“. This hunt is still going on as well…. Read my former posting to get all those great gifts along with this ones…. )

Time is running out to visit this years Second Pride Festival 2013, running till June 23rd, it’s the largest LGBTQ celebration & fund raising event in Second Life! This year there is 3 full sims and 7 themed shopping plazas plus 6 stages! I found so many freebies and they have a simwide hunt this year so I am STILL unpacking all of the free stuff, but thought I would take some pictures of the great finds I have found already!
Above I am wearing a great combination of Pride gifts from around the festival as I explored the South Beach plaza. The colorful gay shirt is a nice freebie from Alterego and pairs nicely with the free Pride board shorts from Vanbeeck’s. Oceania Breedables has an exclusive Pride penguin plushie free for their group members and it’s free to join. I am holding one of several free books you get from Purple Prose which upon click opens the book for your avatar to read. On my wrist is a sweet bracelet free from CoLLisions and matches the shirt. My sparkling eyes are a very nice free gift from Amacci just for Pride. The small rainbow ying-yang button on the shirt is free from Sterling Artistry. Walking in the Park Place plaza, I showed off a new look. If too many rainbows is not your thing, then you can tone it down with this simple and stylish look. The blue blazer can be worn with or without the Pride tee and is a generous gift from A:S:S. The white capri pants are not free, but are a special 169L fundraiser item for Second Pride and include a rainbow belt (not shown). The bright blue shoes are a free gift from Innuendo Italian Style. Looking closer, my eyes are a free special Pride edition of the Orbz mesh eyes from Jaryth’s Barber Shop. The sleek Pride dog tags necklace is an exclusive free item from Elysium. The tiny bear on my shoulder is an adorable freebie from .:Stone Misery:. and is just too cute.
This just covers a handful of the freebie items from the stores around the festival. I didn’t even include any of the 40 gifts from the interactive simwide Rainbow Road hunt. If you got a craving for more freebies be sure to pickup your free HUD from any of the hunt kiosks and search for the hidden stars. But you got to be quick to snag these freebies and do the hunt because it all ends after June 23rd!

At the Virtual Asia City, running until 15th October, you can take part in The Mooncake Hunt. Searching for these delicious cakes around the city by using the SLURLS and hints below you will find some really amazing items.
Also while you are in the City be sure to take a look around the carts that decorate the streets as you might find some more amazing bargains!
An interesting aside here… if you buy the Carton next to the Mooncake, there is a dress by Sassy!. Im not sure if its part of the hunt or if it was part of another hunt. It is marked as General Tso’s Chicken!
