Ah Thanksgiving Eve. The turkey is rubbed (no, that’s not a euphemism) and there’s not much more to do till tomorrow, except dream of the yumminess to come and of course collect some freebies.
One Of My Faves
Suicidal Unborn is one of my favorites from way back, and there’s a new group gift there. It’s these great earrings and includes a really comprehensive HUD of metal colors to choose from. The group at Suicidal Unborn is 100L and in addition to this free group gift there are a whole bunch of others, plus it’s just a really cool store.
A Different Collection
I do enjoy collecting freebies, but this top boasts of a different kind of collection. I find it amusing and maybe a bit topical for Thanksgiving in a concerning sort of way. Going to Suicidal Unborn made me think of another fantastic store with a similar vibe, Corvus. I popped in and this top was on a lucky board boasting an A. Kismet, I tell you. There’s a wall covered in lucky boards. Some I hadn’t seen before (like this top) and others have been around a bit but are still really great. The lucky boards are free to win, you’ll just need to be in the Corvus store group which costs 99L.

Witchy Woman
You knew the October Halloween events are near. Did you know there is something you need for Halloween on the FabFree Back to Cool hunt?? The Back to Cool hunt runs through September 30th. You can see what’s been set out as hunt prizes here. And don’t miss out on the the CakeDay and Swank Anniversary rounds. Swank will end on September 30th. Cakeday will close on September 29th.
My look today is inspired by the Back to Cool hunt prizes from Mostyn Street. It started out with this witch hat and very cool scarf. Both are $5L each. The hat has a band in the same leopard print as the scarf. The scarf does move when you walk. It sort of floats behind you. Like I said it’s very cool. The items are in one size only but modifiable. (Plus points for us bloggers with big heads.)
I added some witchy looking clothing from previous years as well as new makeup I picked up at events. I am wearing the Goldy eyeshadow from Modish (Free gift at Cakeday/Free group required). You can’t really see it here but trust me it is sweet; it’s BOM for EvoX heads.
My lipstick is a gift at Swank’s 10th Anniversary round from PAIX. It comes in matte colors with a 6 texture/color change options. (Free gift at Swank/Free group required).

A Little Wicked
A lot of my days, I spend wandering the grid, collecting random gifts as I go and just stuffing them in a folder until I have the right pieces to put a blog post together. Today is that day!
Last week, I saw something in the Fab Free FLICKR group from Nylon Outfitters, called “Thrifty and Kitschy Tableau Tuesday” which is totally up my alley. Apparently it’s a sometimes sale at her SIM (and there’s one today too). I grabbed demo for a crochet granny square dress I’ll go back and buy when I have the lindens, but ultimately walked away with her free gifts for the moment. The owner is an artist IRL and 2 of her gifts are t-shirts with her art on the front! You can find these on a little table near the stairs for free, no group required. Just a little break from the festive today, but don’t worry – there’s still hot chocolate!

I ended up over at Corvus and there was an A on the lucky boards! I love it when that happens. Even better, it was a dress that I don’t already have and that I don’t recall seeing before. And it’s super cute! Winning all around, I am. There are a whole wall of fast moving lucky boards at Corvus, as well as group gifts and discounts and all sorts of wonders to behold. When you need your dark and broody it’s the place to go, case in point my new dress imploring you to love me like my demons do. Marshmallows
As it turns out, my demons and I all want hot chocolate loaded with marshmallows. To satisfy this craving, it was another trip over to Palomma Plaza. Of course everything else there is free as well, but the mug that I’m holding with the great marshmallow snowflake art is free under the tree. Shining is currently hosting a hunt on their sim called the Scary hunt. You’ll find a hunt key just outside Shining’s main store with their offerings. I really loved the Arania dress which is simple but super cute and covered in spider webs. I looked for the little pumpkins and this prize cost just 10L. Another day, another graffiti and ad covered street corner. Such is my slife.

I headed over to Corvus for a reason that will soon be disclosed, and was reminded that they have fantastic group gifts and lucky boards!
