Hey Fabs.  It’s been quite a week and I feel like the world needs an infusion of love.  Lucky for us all, I’m dressed for it, thanks to some gifts I bought on Marketplace!

Join hands

I actually found my outfit back in late August and hung onto it all the way until now, because you know how I am about holidays.  It’s fluffy and pink and covered in hearts and I need us all to get on this love train, please.

So this is called the Ostara outfit from Laby’s.  It’s 10L on Marketplace and comes with the sweater and jeans in this texture.  Adorable really!  It comes rigged for:

I did a little searching because we always need MORE love and I found these earrings by Aurelia, made for gauged ears on Marketplace. There’s nothing specific to say if they’re only for Swallow gauged, but since there’s no tunnel it’s possible they’ll also work on Andore ears.  They only cost 1L, so it’s worth a shot if you ask me. 😉  They come for both XL and S gauged ears and have a metal and gem hud too.

Snowbound in a Fairy Tale

Hello there, Fab Free!  Gus and I hit some weekend sales today, and also picked up a cute tattoo as a dollarbie hunt prize.  My canine sidekick was not happy that I cropped him out of today’s photos, but I gave him a crunchy bone, promised him he’d be in my next post, and all is forgiven.  Phew!

Snowy Tendrils

If you haven’t checked out the Snowbound Hunt, there’s still a little time left to explore.  You’ll be searching for ornaments hidden throughout the sim – and oh, what a beautifully decorated sim it is!  Gus and I thoroughly enjoyed our time there.  One of our favorite hunt prizes is the Warm Snow Tattoo that I’m wearing in the photo.  Just beneath each eye, delicate white, snowflake-like details add a whimsical, almost frosted touch.  There’s even a sprinkling of powdered snow on my nose, although it’s hard to see in the picture.  I feel like a fairy tale character when I’m wearing it.  The best part is, it only costs 1L$, plus the time spent searching around the sim.  It’s the 2nd prize offered by Adore&Abhor, and it’s so cute!  If you like this facial tattoo as much as I do, don’t delay because the hunt only runs through January 18th.

I found this delicate, feminine shirt at Riot for just 50L$ as part of the Fifty Linden Fridays sale.  The Maple Sateen Tank Top is available in two color packs:  the “Cottage Core” that I’m wearing and a “Silly Goose” version that has a cute striped option.   She features slender shoulder straps, airy lace trim, and a vintage-inspired floral pattern.  A texture HUD with six romantic prints to choose from allows you to customize the fabric.  A separate HUD will enable you to customize the lace trim with 54 colors to choose from.    I’m looking forward to wearing this beautiful top without a jacket when spring rolls around.  Like the hunt, the Fifty Linden Fridays sale only runs through Sunday, so if you fancy the Maple Sateen Tank for your inventory, don’t delay!

Treats for the Second Day of Christmas

The Christmas Season continues in SL, and though I was tutting at videos of people taking down their decor already (blasphemy in my books!), I know that today is just the second day of Christmas.  Yes, I do rant about this annually, but that’s my tradition.   There are still so many amazing gifts to pick up inworld, so let’s crack on!

Santa’s Gift Storm

The generosity continues, this time through Santa’s Gift Storm!  Several designers have banded together to offer free gifts until January 4th.  The groups are free to join, and some gifts are no group needed and free for everyone.  Today, I’m showing off two that have no group join required, and I think they’re absolutely beautiful (I broke out the Reborn Body I bought on Black Friday to try this out, so that’s why Aline is looking rather voluptuous today – it’s not just the Christmas cookies).  Here’s what I’m wearing:

I woke up this morning with the very clear intention of “turning this place into a Christmas Wonderland, dammit”.  But, you see… I did that thing where I start opening boxes and getting overwhelmed with things all at once.  So here you find me, surrounded by the detritus of my good intentions.

Holly & Frost

I’ve been looking forward to the Holly & Frost Faire, and this year is probably the best one yet!  There are A LOT of really awesome decor gifts at this cute event, and they’re all completely free.  I had so much fun putting together this little scene, and I didn’t even get to use all the gifts!  This is definitely a must-visit for those of you who love to decorate (and yes, I did that on purpose – the group who put on this event goes by that name).  Anyway, all the gifts are free with no group join required.  Here’s what I have out:

I was easily persuaded to visit this year’s SL Christmas Expo, which benefits the American Cancer Society.  Each booth has a donation gift hidden somewhere in their display (it looks like a Christmas stocking) – and of course I headed over to Alaskametro’s booth to find these cozy, striped BOM socks that I had to have – they were just 25L.   I also happened to buy this lingerie there, so I highly recommend visiting!  The SL Christmas Expo is open until December 7th.

Maybe I’ll get my Christmas Wonderland under control tomorrow…

In my part of the world, the leaves have almost all fallen, the wind is blowing chill, and snow has made an appearance, covering the ground intermittently with it’s chilly embrace .  It’s beautiful, a little bit melancholy, and yet still an opportunity – in this case, to head indoors and make your space cozy and welcoming.

Autumn’s End

The good people over at Elm had exactly that idea when they sorted this hunt out – it comes with some really lovely decor items to remind you that the cozy life is just within reach.  Think oranges, think pumpkins, and imagine the scent of cinnamon and clove wafting through the air, and you’ve got this collection.  It’s really perfect for the few weeks between Halloween and the Holiday season.  To take part, join the Elm group for 300L, and then go hunting for some apples scattered around the mainstore.  I had fun, and I hope you will too!  You’ve got until November 28th to take part.

I really do have a thing for wearing gowns in nature.  I feel like maybe I saw some photo shoot in a magazine in the 90’s where people were riding horses in gowns and it stuck with me.  Gosh, I miss magazines.  Don’t get me started, I’ll rant about Seventeen magazine and then everyone will wonder what I’m going on about.  But yes, it was the best.

Never Too Many

There’s a new gown as a gift at Sofia, and though perhaps this is more the season for costumes rather than gowns (do gowns have a season, probably not…), it’s nice to really get into the spirit of Autumn and hang out among the falling leaves I love so much.  The Sofia group is currently 150L to join.

Hi Fabs!  I picked this song title today because A. I love Jack Johnson and B. It’s exactly how I feel about Yasum, it is soooooo much better when we’re together.

Floating on air

I’m floating, of course, because it’s time for another Yasum Balloon Dog Hunt!  If you’re new to the blog or just not familiar, Azlyn from Yasum thinks everyone on the grid deserves to have nice things, and she provides them.  ♥  Every so often when she moves a bunch of new releases from events into her store, she marks one color for 1L each.  I counted 8 outfits this time, but I saw some out from the last round still too.

The one I’m wearing today is Willow, this based top and overalls, with a pendant charm.  It’s totes adorable.  It comes rigged for:

The pendant charm is a fatpack too, so you can add this pendant to all of your Yasum outfits if you want!  These hunts used to only last a few days, but she’s been extending them.  Still, I recommend you get to her New Release room and look for these little balloon dogs as soon as possible.  She’s even made it easier and put a big heart shaped balloon over the vendors that have the 1L product.
The bonus?  No group is needed to buy all these dollarbies.  Thank you Yasum!
