Oh, Hanukkah!
It’s beginning to look a lot like Hanukkah too! I love this celebration of light, and quite frankly, who doesn’t love fried foods? For those of you who are celebrating starting tomorrow night, I’ve found a few little goodies to add some Chanukkah chutzpah to your SL.
Spinning Like a Dreidel
I had to do some searching for under 75L items for Hanukkah, but there are a few out there. I put on my brainy specs and headed off to MP and did a little search, then refined it by sorting the items by lowest to highest price. I wasn’t inundated with items, but there were a few under 75L items!

Fabulous Finds 11.24.22 Edition
New Year Brunch
Hiya, New Year’s Day is a time of traditions and resolutions. LOL, like most folks who make those New Year’s resolutions mine are pretty much done for by March. However, the traditions seem to stay year after year.
Sneaking A Taste
Until my 2 of my 3 sons had married, and the last one left home, we had a tradition, my middle son is a New Year’s baby, so every year at midnight we would ring in the new year with birthday cake, and a very tiny glass of champagne. New Years Day I would be up with the sun spending my day in the kitchen cooking a brunch feast for those always hungry boys, while they spent the day in front of the tv watching football games. Jacx seemed to think it was a pretty fair idea to recreate a new year feast while modeling Meander/Me Bonfire Top. This wonderfully detailed cropped sweater is a free group gift. Lemania Indigo owner and creator of Meander/Me is known for using beautiful textures on all her creations. And body sizes oh my goodness there are a lot. The hud for the Bonfire top is a generous 13 color hud in rich fall colors. I would like to thank our sweet Miss Caroline for letting us know that the Meander/Me group is now free to join, and she showed some really fun items from the shop here. LOL. Call it creative license. Jacx is doing a final wardrobe check before her date arrives. Modeling Fatal Fashion Dress/Garter Lace Black, for 1L @ the Orsy Event. Also from Fatal Fashion for 1L at the Orsy Event Fatal Fashion Nail #18 Halloween. (Sized for Belleza, Kupra, Maitreya, Slink, Tonic.) The Orsy Event is running from Oct 6th- Oct 21st. Hello again Fab Free! Thank you for being here. So recently a friend of mine told me about an almost too good to be true sounding store credit gift at Moss&Mink. Needless to say, I had to check it out for myself. She was right, Moss&Mink has a 500 linden store credit offer out that is free for everyone. There’s no need to join a group for this awesome gift, however if you’re so inclined you can join the Moss&Mink group and get a second 500L store credit for a total of 1000 linden in store credit at Moss&Mink.
That said, I opted to forgo the additional 500 linden for Moss&Mink group members and just take advantage of the no-group-needed store credit offer. All you have to do to get yours is head over to Moss&Mink and click the gift credit vendor. If you’re not familiar with Moss&Mink, they are a furniture and décor shop with lots of detailed items for just about every room in the house, and outdoor items too. The style is modern with some bohemian flair and a touch of kawaii. After wandering through the landscaped outdoor shop, I settled on a classic desk and bookshelf set and a matching desk accessories. I was able to get both the furniture and the desk décor for less than my 500 linden in store credit, making my purchases completely free.

Fabulous Finds 11.29.20 Edition
Beldam Haunt
It’s rare for me to envision something and then have the ability to manifest what I see in my mind with the tools at my disposal. Death Row Designs and Roawenwood gifted me the ability to really create the sort of diabolical yet romantic scene I had floating around in my imagination. So if this reads like a heartfelt thank you, it’s exactly that. I’ll always be inspired by and grateful for designers who give gifts that are beautifully detailed and thoughtfully made.
Death Row Designs
I’ve always enjoyed the juxtaposition of the beautiful with the horrific. It’s easy to believe something ugly is sinister, but what of something or someone truly stunning? I find it thrilling in story telling to consider that under a lovely façade lies something malevolent. Death Row Designs often embodies this motif, gorgeous “ruined” things. They have three such things as their free October group gifts, and a fourth group gift that I didn’t show in my photo but is in the vendor ad below. There’s a broken and blood-drenched china tea set, a beautiful set of fall décor that includes a shelf with tchotchke and a silver mirror, and lastly a haunting wall lantern hanging from the fingers of a devilish outstretched arm. Roawenwood
I’ve always felt that Roawenwood often has an inkling of darkness to their furnishings. Nothing too wicked, but just dark enough to be alluring. They have a lovely macabre chair and foot-stool set complete with a display ouija board, and drippy candle with darkly romantic red roses and human skull. The furniture itself has a deep purple-blue color, and a texture that makes me think of velour. There’s also a throw blanket over the stool that has gold-like flecks in it.
