I remember when Meva had her hunt this past summer, and Allison blogged a version of this hat we could get in the hunt.  I loved it, and now I have a full fatpack thanks to Meva’s 90% off sale!

You gotta fly

I didn’t get a chance to shop the sale sooner, so I’m late getting this post out to you, but you have today and tomorrow to take advantage of Meva’s 90% off sale. I think she’s known mostly for her “Leather and Lace” type style, and her boots, oooooo her boots.  She has all kinds of things in her store though, clothes and accessories for male and female bodies, jewelry, and did I mention the boots? 😉

She’s also known for having a boho flair, which is right up my alley.  We’re having spring weather here IRL so I decided to get out of my winter gloom from yesterday and jump right into some spring color for this post.  I bought my whole outfit at Meva and I’ll list it below:

Sky Turns Day Glo

So yesterday, I posted a blog post titled ‘Cocoa’ and was drinking no cocoa!  Today, I’ve got this gorgeous cup of cocoa to tell you about, and my title doesn’t mention it at all!  It might seem confusing, but when you click on the picture above it will take you to FLICKR where I list out the relevant lyrics and post the youtube of the song 😉

Vibes

My free sweater actually says “Hot Cocoa Vibes” but I think this whole setting is a vibe.  Just look at that gorgeous sky!  It went perfectly with all the winter pastel colors in my sweater and my cocoa.  I dig these vibes!

My sweater is one of the free prizes at the Belle Epoque 10th Anniversary hunt, and it was gifted by [Red Girl].   I really love the winter pastel palette, and the cozy fit of this sweater.  Aline told you all about the hunt HERE, but basically just go find all 19 birthday cakes at Belle Epoque, and it will come home with you!  It’s rigged for:

I picked up this lovely cup of cocoa from FINCA last year, and never got the chance to blog it, but it was perfect for this sweater.  It was a group gift last year at the holidays and the group is still free to join.  It comes in winter pastel green, pink and grey.  It also has a fantastic drinking animation.  You’ll want this one for the season.

I almost forgot to mention my new glasses!  The Just Yaska store has moved and they’ve set out a pair of unisex glasses on the counter for free.  Both Sky and I have these glasses now and they look great on both of us.  There’s a metal hud in the package too.

Hello Fabulous Readers!  Real life has had me running ragged lately.  It feels good to take a few peaceful moments at The Nest ~ Sunbird Featherwish sim to snap a photo and share our finds with our favorite readers.

Gus and I hit the trail of the Flowers Time Hunt 6 this week.  This event focuses on everything that grows in the sun and has 35 stops along the way.  Prizes cost a budget-friendly 3L$ each, and the hunt runs through May 31st.  My outfit today features two items from the hunt.

Gathering Daisies

My Antheia dress from Ari-Pari is perfectly summery.  It boasts wide shoulder straps, a sweetheart neckline, and a cheerful daisy print.  A solid-colored sash accents your waistline, and the generous, ruffle-trimmed hem allows for effortless movement.  The designer includes a HUD with five color options for the frock.  To pick up a copy for yourself, you must find the hunt object – a daisy flower – and pay the vendor 3L$.

I accessorized with another hunt prize – the pretty Petals Earrings from Meader/Me.  They tie the whole look together in a whimsical way.  Dainty daisy blossoms dangle from delicate shepherd hooks and mirror the floral theme of the dress.  (How’s that for alliteration?  Don’t try saying it five times fast!) Using the included HUD, you can select from eight colors for the petals, making them quite versatile.  Simply find the daisy hidden in the shop, pay the 3L$ fee, and they can be yours!

Aren’t I just BERRY cute? 😀  I mean, maybe not, but this outfit sure is!  I found a reason to put on one of my silly hats, it’s so I can show off this free outfit!

Recently I’ve seen a lot of chatter in groups about offers for 1L not being ‘free’ and I get it, but in SL there’s a few reasons to put 1L on a gift.  If you charge 1L for something, it gives you the ability to buy it as a gift for someone in the vending systems.  Also, it will show in your vending history, in case there’s an update or you need a re-delivery.  In this case, the outfit is free for all members of the FurtaCor V.I.P. group, which costs 1L to join.  Putting even 1L on a group join saves a group from so much spam and scam.

This is the Sasha Strawberry set, and it’s a gift from Tastic.  Strawberries are probably my favorite fruit pattern, although I’ve been known to wear bananas on occasion.  Yep, it’s absolutely because I’m bananas too (I know what you were thinking!).  This set comes rigged for:

We are working diligently to manifest Spring for everyone (although to be honest, I love when it’s cold here).  Hope this helps the rest of you 😉

Daisies are like tiny suns

I love when 2 things come together perfectly and that’s what I have today. Let’s start with the real daisy of this post, my new hairstyle. I won this hairstyle completely free on the Moon Midnight Mania board! I went crazy trying to get it locked, because it’s one of the only styles I don’t have, and it was on the MM board which I’d never seen, and I want to thank Aurora who kept posting it and all the Fabbies who went to hit it so we could all win it! This is the Oopsie Daisy hairstyle and I won it in the ombre hud. It comes in 4 sizes, with matching (but separate) daisies for the buns. Now, I have no idea when it will reappear on the Moon MM board, your best chance is to join the group for free, and stop in at the store daily to hit the board. It’ll return at some point! Also, if you walk into the back room at Moon, you’ll find this ‘Boopsie Daisy’ mouthie as a free gift in a box on the floor, you don’t even need a group to get it, just buy it for 0L.

While I’m talking about the daisies, I found these adorable daisy earrings on Marketplace completely free, by Halloways. They’re small and resize-able and have a full color hud for the center and the petals. Just what I needed to pull this look together.

This current free group gift showed up at Havoc very recently, so you should have time to get it before it’s replaced by some other fabulous thing. I felt like I just HAD to blog this ‘Sen-taur’ gift, because, well, it’s hard to top the frog legs from the Halloween Shop&Hop 😉   This ‘Sentaur’ has easily been one of the most talked about gifts at the Valentine’s Shop&Hop this year.  Let me also say, before I received this gift, I, like most other seasoned Second Life players, had never taken that Senra Jamie body out of my library, nor added it to my avatar, and once I did, I was happily surprised.  It’s a nice body!  I didn’t really play with it much, but it looked natural, it applied the skin I was wearing right onto it without any buttons to press, and there’s no neck seam between the body and my Lelutka head.  Who knew?

Giddy-Up!

Probably not the correct term for a Centaur, but it’ll do.  This awesome free gift comes courtesy of one of our favorite fantasy stores, Jinx!  Jinx has been the home to Centaur shopping and just about every other mystical creature you can think of.  They make incredibly cool and awesome things.  This gift ONLY works with the Senra body, if you try to wear it on another body it will poof on you (but still be in your inventory).  It comes with an AO to walk, sit or dance, and with a color hud that changes the fur color and wrap color. Now, there are not a lot of clothes available yet for the Senra body, but Second Life asked for creators to rig for it and provide some free gifts this round of the Shop&Hop and they have delivered.  You can also wear any BOM you have to cover your top half.

One more thing, this free gift is unisex.  It will work with both the Senra Blake and Jamie bodies.

That’s A Wrap!

I’m also wearing a great leather cord wrap necklace from Supernatural I got as a free gift at the Valentine’s Shop&Hop.  It comes with a large color hud, so you can wear it with just about anything in your inventory.  I like it especially because it’s a choker, but falls down and covers some of your neck and chest.  As always, no group is required to pick up the free gifts at the Shop&Hop, just visit and click!
