Christmas sure is an especially generous time in SL. It’s quite heartwarming. Today I’m sharing my spoils from HW Winterland. I loooove these events so much. Aline gave you all the deets when it opened, but it’s still going strong, full of bargains and gifts. The free gifts are in stockings, hung from the booths. We’re moving on in to snowy season, my favorite Second Life season, and I’m loving all my new cold weather wear. I’ve got 2 great free gifts for you today.

There’s a ton of things I love about snowy regions in SL. My body IRL feels cooler when the snow is coming down in SL. The atmosphere and the pictures are really nice too. I love the way the shadows reflect on the snow.
To stay warm on my winter tours, I picked up this great puffy bomber jacket from MOoH!. Even better? It’s a fatpack of lovely plaids and it’s a group gift for Fab Free, which, of course, is free to join. I Had a Vision
Yes, I did. I joined the Vision store group for 18L and scored a few group gifts. A total of twelve gifts are available on the front wall to the right of the entrance. I wanted something casual and found this really cute top. The Fara crop top comes with a texture change hud with four different ones. I love the look of this extremely well-crafted top with it’s contrasting straps and laces.

Le Chic Short Cut!
I wear all manner of hair styles. Some long, others short, etc, etc. DP YumYum has the *barberyumyum*S25 on sale for $50L! It’s a cute short style I am happy to add to my overflowing inventory. When you make your purchase and unpack it you will see a number of sample huds. The only one that seems to work with the is the hud labeled FLF. That hud has a nice selection of colors to choose from.
@rOrO Does it Up With Fun
I love the things that our very own Fab Designer, Rowan Carroll, creates for her shop, @rOrO. I frequently wander over to see what’s new. She has a lot of gifts and dollabies in the store. I picked up my Cowgirl earrings there for free. These are a group gift for the Fitmesh Fanatics (free to join). They come in both gold and silver.
If you walk into the room to the left of the reception desk you will find all kinds of bargains/dollarbies. Some are for older body sizes. And then I saw this little pink hat. I mean, it is PINK! You can grab this one for $1L! The hat sports a unicorn and a graphic saying, “My a*s is fabulous”! It is named the A*s Hat. (Gee hope I don’t get into trouble for saying that word here!). It fits on your butt and is modifiable so you can position it exactly where you want is.

And how do you do? It’s a fine morning here at Calas Galadhon. Of course I found a spot near the water. I am a water baby, I guess. Many of my shots have water in them. And I am looking pretty cool wearing a few items from the FabFree Back to Cool Hunt. The hunt ends on September 30th.
This comfy looking outfit came together with hunt items. First up is the Cool Top from Mostyn St. It is really cool; it says so in red letters! The top has sizes for Legacy & Perky, LaraX, and Reborn. The best part is it’s only $5L! It’s a basic cropped tee that still covers all but a slice of belly for those who don’t like showing skin.
I added the Pink Tweed Fedora (another $5 hunt item from Mostyn St). I like that it is modifiable so it can fit my big head without hair poking through. Sheesh, that’s so annoying!
Last is my shoes from Snappy Wears. I LOVE me some red shoes! The Ying Yang High Tops are sized for eBody, Legacy, Maitreya Lara & LaraX. Because they are high tops you might be able to wear these with other bodies if you can hide your feet with an alpha layer.

You guys, I *finally* won on the lucky board at Moon! This one is not for the faint of heart – there is only 1 lucky board and it changes letter every 60 minutes. The group join has been increased to 500L. But oh the prizes are so nice, full fatpacks of beautiful hair. Also be sure to keep the Moon group chat up, because people often call out the current letter there. That’s how I won! My prize was Dreamer and yes it’s a full fatpack of colors and styles. However, I put it on right out of the box and thought the style and color was so cute that I left it.

Immediately thereafter, I was at Sigma and noticed free subscribo gifts! Click to join the subscriber list and then at the top of the kiosk there is a vendor to click for the free subscribo gift. It is actually two separate pairs of earrings and it looks like it’s only one click but you actually have to click each side of the picture to get that pair of earrings. I put on the pair that I’m wearing here and they’re so cute with my hair! Once again this is a full fatpack that I put on and loved and didn’t touch the HUD. Please note that the earrings from Sigma are the gold dangly ones. I forgot to take off the other earrings I was wearing so the other stuff on my ear is not part of the gift. /me face palms. The astute reader will recall that Beachy blogged these a few months ago, but she got them as a group gift. There is a small fee to join the group but now they’re completely free as a subscribo gift and won’t take up a group slot. Score.

And then of course I needed some clothing to finish things off because this is a family friendly blog after all. So by now I hope you’ve seen a few blog posts talking about the clearance sale over at Elikatira, but last week Emma IM’d me and asked if I knew that friday, a store on the same region, was also having a clearance sale and I did not! She thought of me because of all the socks for sale, (which I mostly already own lol). Everything at friday is 25L-50L! Most of the items outside are marked for retirement, the items inside the barn are more recent but also on sale. I’d been looking for a nice pair of jeans I could wear under my favorite boots and socks for sooooooooo long and there they were, at friday. Today I’ve finally pulled together a Tres Chic look to show you. This event is probably halfway over or so, so still time to visit before it ends. Today I visited friday to shop their weekend sales, and bought the cutest things. Specifically, I picked up the top and shorts that I’m wearing here for 75L each per color for The Saturday Sale. I do love the active wear, it just brings me back to some great days in my SL. There are lots of cute graphics to choose from for the top, and shorts in a wide range of colors for whatever look you’re going for. The Saturday Sale lasts through the weekend and then it’s all back to full price.

I hesitate to even mention this next one, because its time is very short. The FabFree group chat is all a-buzz with it though, and it was at the perfect time when I was putting my outfit together, so here we are. My hair is Doux and it is free. There is a “Metaverse Unlocked KPOP World Tour Concert” going on at the Secrets sim right now. During the concert, this hair and a really great pair of boots are free. You’ll find them to the right of the stage and they are a free group gift for a free to join group called X:TheLabel. I believe that there is a group joiner next to the gifts that you can click on first to join, or just do what I do and right click on the gift, edit, and join the group from there. Either way you’ll want to go now, because it sounds like these will disappear when the concert is over. The hair is a blogger pack with a big fatpack of styles and colors, plus optional headphones.
