All I Want for Christmas

Hey there, FabFree! I hope you’re taking a little time in the middle of gift buying and cookie making and Santa tracking to visit the huge ol’ Holiday Shop and Hop. You are….right? Of Course, you are! This year has a lovely bunch of free gifts that are so worth stopping and picking up for both the guys and gals. For example…

Gabe is lookin’ so sharp wearing the “Petrovitch” sweater from Fusion today. The sweater comes with a HUD to change the color of the top part to one of eight colors. The plaid bottom stays the same. The colors are all really well done and the texture is solid.

Best Bitches

Every gal needs a bestie. I am quite lucky that I have found loads of amazing friends over the years on SL. My Fab Free family are not only people I collaborate with, but we have a great laugh behind the scenes and share our lives and ups and downs with each other. One other person that my SLife has been made rich by is my good friend Eesoov. We met right back at the beginning of my days in SL, and she showed me the ropes – as well as quite a few police boxes (don’t get me started on Doctor Who…). We’re showing off a few group gifts that we’re sure you’ll love.

Me and Eesoov often go shopping together, and though our styles can be quite different, we did agree that this group gift over at Foxes was right up our alley. I joined the group for 150 Lindens, and went into the right hand side of the store to find this gift. Just pay the vendor 1L, and then you can transfer the “bitches” version of the dress to your bestie! How cool is that?

This week marks the beginning of the FashionArt Fair, from May 9 -31 and The Girl with the Big Earrings Hunt, runs simultaneously featuring 10 edgy accessories, costing $1L each at Earth Nirvana’s store Earth, (hunt hints here, May 4-24, 2014). All garments are from the FashionArt Fair and most accessories are almost free on The Girl with the Big Earrings Hunt ($1L each) at [Earth]. Hunt hints and more information can be found here. This is a perfect fusion of design and accessories to create your own “walking canvas.”

The concept of the FashionArt Fair is the designer is an artist and their medium is clothing or accessories, just as the painter uses canvas, or the sculptor uses clay or metal to portray his vision.

Designers and artists flirt ever closer with the idea that fashion is about much more than just dress and appearance. Fashion can break all boundaries! Wearers can be walking canvases! In the tradition of art, fashion now bravely explores and portrays highly charged moments of emotion, romanticism, sexuality, modernism, history and culture.

In May 2014 we challenge the designers of Second Life to design one exclusive piece that is inspired by a favourite artist, Choose – Sculpture, installation, design, drawing, painting. Whether it is Renaissance, Cubist, Post Modern, Pop Art, Impressionist.

Moustache in Movember and more 7K Gifts!

November is Men’s Health awareness month. Movember’s first campaign objective is to raise awareness of men’s health issues, specifically prostate and testicular cancer. By spreading awareness, this will hopefully lead to early detection, diagnosis and effective treatment. Ultimately reducing the mortality rate of males world wide. You can pick up the Moustache kit at Cilian’gel. The kit has Moustaches in many different colors with four sizes in each.

The black tank and camo jeans (shown above) was sent to the JAZMYN D sub-o members. The classic pumps are in the welcome gift for Maitreya sub-o members.

‘Chess Dancing!

The G&N Quality Design free gift of the week is the “Jennifer 20s” flapper dress. This dress is great for dancing the night away! The red disco shoes are a past gift from She’s So Unusual Shoes. The beautiful Tuli skin is the Hope June 2009 Picks reward special skin.

After all that dancing a relaxing a nice comfy chair is a must! The black Velvet Antique chair and chess piece end table are the Through The Looking Glass hunt gift from Fusion. Yes, the end table is made of chess pieces! And yes, the cupcake is included!!! I can’t tell you exactly where it is (since it is a HUNT after all) but bring out those magnifying glasses.
