Nice & Toasty

Happy New Year! I am celebrating in SL by hitting the slopes then chilling in the apres’ ski lounge. Snow looks much nicer from indoors. I can definitely declare there will be no avant le ski or apres ski IRL because I know healing from those ski injuries will happen much quicker in SL!

So, I finally got around to unpacking some Holiday Shop & Hop gifts. I found this snuggly outfit in the huge pile. This is the Shop & Hop gift from GGVG. Of course, it’s free. I can even wear it outside of the holiday season because the texture has snowflakes. It is perfect for those colder days. It has no name except for jacket & pants & boots. The name doesn’t matter; it is a FABULOUS look. The jacket and pants come as one piece along with the boots.

One of the gifts was from my favorite creator of SL hair, No_Match. The No_Empathy hair is a non-rigged head wrap with small braids. There are EVOX hair base layers included as well as a nice selection of hair and headwrap textures in the hud.

Sparkle On

Swank GGVG Jianna Dress gift NEW_2025-12-25_144751_001

Happy Holidays to all, no matter what you celebrate during the season! There are still gifts waiting for you around the grid. Today I’m focusing on another gift from the Swank Winter Wonderland event. We, here at FabFree, love showing off sparkly & shiny things so here is my new find.

Shimmer and Shine

I oohed & ahhed when I unpack the free gift at the Swank Winter Wonderland from GGVG. It sparkles! And it comes with a massive 40 color hud. I was in a sparkly mood thus it worked out well for me. At first, I was going with the dress in white but found that it didn’t show enough of the sparkly things. I whipped out the hud and changed it to this nice green hue. Jianna has the daring dress with a matching pair of long gloves.

Rocking A New “Do”

I am obsessed with all of the hair styles on SL! I confess it. So I belong to a lot of store/brand groups. Recently I was made aware that there were group gifts at WingsDG. Of course, I went to check it out. I found several gifts I had never acquired. Today I am wearing the Gift 004 -Famale (Female) – hair. Each gift has 2 – 3 sizes and a many have a number of texture huds.

The WingsDG group is free to join. Turn left after you enter the store and you’ll find them on a side wall. There are at least five gifts available.

Oh My – Face Paint & Skin

Head over to Glam Affair and join the free group. There are a number of free group gifts on the counter. These include skins, makeup, brows, and shapes. I’m wearing one tone of the Camila skin with the Koko Brows toner. Both are group gifts.

That’s it for me today. The weather changes every few days. It’s almost tropical today with a cold front coming on Monday. I do enjoy the climate control in Second Life!

I’ll give Beachy credit for one thing, she sure knows her way around the wineries at Niagara-on-the-Lake. I’m not sure she can even count the number of wine tours she’s been on there in Canada, but that’s probably because of all the wine 😉

Wine tours range from casual to fancy, depending on the wineries you visit, and I didn’t want to be under dressed. Not to mention, who could wear this suit anywhere other than Canada at this time of year? OK, let’s face it, it’s even cooking in Canada right now, but they do keep these wineries at the perfect temperature.

My nice new suit was free, of course, because that’s the purpose of this post after all. I recently found out that GGVG has clothing for men! The selection is smaller, but I quickly ran back to the SL22B Shop&Hop and picked up that generous 500L gift card GGVG has there as a free gift and went shopping in the mainstore.

My suit comes with 2 pair of pants (regular and slim), 2 shirts (with and without tie), a vest and the jacket, and the whole thing costs 299L, so completely free with room to spare. The giftcard can be found at SL22B Shop&Hop and must be used in the mainstore. There’s a teleporter at the mainstore that will take you up to the men’s department where you can pick what you like. This suit come rigged for:

I’m channeling a mix of modern & retro to complete this look. Any day at the beach is a great one! And I have this super cool beachwear.

What? You say you haven’t been to Swank’s Celebration of Colors yet? Better hippity hop to it. There are tons of gifts to find, many with a Pride theme. The event runs through June 30th.

One of those many gifts is the Larissa outfit from GGVG. It consists of a bra, thong, and sarong. Oops, I made a rhyme. There are actually 3 versions of the gift you can pick up for free! Hello, Fabulous Readers. Last week was a doozie of a week for me, and I’m happy to return to SL, where I can relax and forget about my cares for a while. As Gus and I wandered the grid, we found a stunning free group gift to share.

Lady in Red

The Jess outfit is the latest free gift from GGVG Fashion for members of the Teleport Hub group.  It features a cropped top with slender straps and a plunging V neckline, a curve-hugging mermaid-style full-length skirt, and a cozy shawl to keep you warm.  I love the way the hem of the dress drapes gracefully on the ground.  Luckily, in SL we don’t have to worry about washing it! 😉  I chose the solid red option to be ready for Valentine’s Day, but the designer also includes other solid and heart-dotted textures for the skirt and top as well as five options for the shawl.  To pick up a copy for yourself, you must be a member of the Teleport Hub group, which has a 10L$ join fee.

Feel the Love

My lovely earrings are a free gift from Sigma at the Valentine Shop & Hop.  I’ve included a close-up photo below to get a better look because they are hard to see in my main photo.  These heart-shaped baubles have an intricately carved design that is just stunning.  The designer includes a HUD that allows you to select from one of five metallic textures, but you can also tint them using a rainbow of options, or input the RGB value you prefer – great for customizing and color-matching!

Hello hello, My FabFree dears! I think I may declare this the week of cozy sweaters! It’s getting ready to get even colder and start snowing in my part of the real world so you know I’m all bundled up. So why not bundle up on the Grid too?

My lovely sweater today is from GGVG or Guguvagas if you prefer. The “Nadine ” Sweater is just what the weatherman ordered for this blast of cold. Long enough to be a short dress or be the perfect tunic with some jeans, it comes with a HUD to pick one of seven colors and patterns. I love this shades of brown. It makes me think of hot chocolate.
