Good afternoon, FabFree Readers. It always fascinates me that there are so many different visions for SIM designers on display on the Grid. One can find one’s self on a busy street corner in a vibrant city one minute and lost down some backwater road the next. Of course the trick is to always have the correct outfit on hand to fit one’s next location. So today I’ve gone from a sharp suit to something much more casual.
This is the “Anderson” outfit from Varsity, a designer I had thought was only for our ladies. But I have since discovered a generous offering of men’s wear here as well as a very generous set of men’s free Group gifts. The group is free to join another plus. Now, ‘Anderson’ comes with the tank and the trousers as separate pieces and a HUD to choose one of 8 colors for the top and 8 colors for the pants. It’s a find I am rather pleased with as gifts of a full fatpack are few and far between!
I just got in from a long day at work and had to figure my way home through snow up to my waist. I thought it would be a good day to create something nice and sunny and go for a shirtless run through the city to work up a sweat. Also to show everyone out there my first FabFree post. While Aline was at the Beach finding magic and relaxation… I was at Cytheria because I craved some spooky adventure (and a different type of magic). If you haven’t visited this cool photogenic hotspot, put it on your Bucket List. Between the skull infested swamps, the cottage with the dungeon, and the awesome castle – complete with … I think it’s a squid? you’ll be glad you went! It’s not the beach, but hey… a guy has to do what a guy has to do. Maybe Aline will join me on one of those days when she’s feeling a bit more wild! Like when she’s making onesies into fashion statements 😉
Before I headed out for adventure I stopped by i.mesh to pick up the newest group gift. The group is free to join and the gift is free as well. April is a good month for men. You know why? We have the “For Him Hunt” just for us. I’ve already made a couple of stops and I have to say I’m pleased with the results of my findings. It was snowing.
It was snowing so I ducked into a little barber shop. It got me remembering that first haircut we all invariably get as children — you know the one… where you cry and your mother takes a picture of the entire traumatic event? It seems, though, that haircuts or at least hairstyles seem to be milestones for changes in our lives.

The importance of a haircut.
I ran across this quote on google while exploring this little barbershop and it made me reflect a moment, because I have to think that the quote (if Coco Chanel did indeed say it) doesn’t only apply to women. A lot of men get life changing haircuts as well.
Many important milestones come with trips to the salon or at least personal stylings — such as dances or weddings… and I’m sure the fellas (not just the ladies) get shimmied up with a fresh haircut too. In some cultures the cutting of hair is deeply spiritual, so I took this picture of myself at this quaint little Barber Shop in my brand new Freebies (and I’ve got one more to tell you about) and thought about the changes that are in store for Astrid and I as the new year approaches. We will certainly have some stories to tell you.
The Beaded Bracelet

I didn’t want to get left out in the cold when it came to getting in on the goods with the Menstuff Hunt… after all, the hunt ends November 30th, but somehow I ended up sitting on ice in a simful of penguins. I blame Astrid’s sense of direction. At least the penguins are friendly and the view of the Northern Lights is spectacular. Come to think of it… I don’t have that much to complain about after all. The trip up here was actually worth it. The sim is called Lovea and this little icy haven is outside of a small art studio. It’s well worth visiting to snap a few photos.
