A Forest

A Forest

All this talk about Valentine’s Day makes me want to run into a forest and get lost.  So that’s exactly what I did.  Fortunately this week I found 2 gifts that made a great outfit for a hike or a camping trip, so I was ready.

Peaceful

I do have to say, it’s quite peaceful out here alone in the forest, and just what my mind needed.  I’ve got a deep desire for peace and mindfulness, the world has gone mad, and I’m retreating into myself instead.    Of course, you can’t survive on good looks alone 😉  so it’s necessary sometimes to join society.  Fortunately when I join society in Second Life, it usually comes with gifts, and this time is no different.  My first stop was over to Glitter Bunny, to check what was on the MM board for men.  However, while I was there I noticed this muscle shirt, and it’s a free group gift for Fab Free even!  It comes in purple and pink and is sized for:

My second stop was over to Furtacor to see what’s new over there.  I think the store has changed, and I found gifts in 2 different places, one of them being a few rooms away from the entrance, where I found these Fernando Cargo pants.  These are a gift for the Men In Blue group, which is also free to join.  The pants come with a fatpack hud of solid colors, different camo designs and a couple of real funky textures 😉   They are rigged for:

Lastly, if you’re a guy who loves ink, I hope you’re in the [Carol G] group.  It’s 200L to join but there’s a whole wall of group gifts, plus some Midnight Madness boards you can play.  The tattoo I have on is the latest item on her male MM board, it’s called Memories, and it comes with appliers and in BOM with various transparencies.

Hmmm, I’m hungry, and ate all my snacks.  Hope I find my way out of this forest before I starve. lol

Welp here we are again Fabs, a whole new day with a whole new event stuffed full of free gifts.  It never ends, and you’ll never ever hear me complain! ♥

Purple Haze

I popped over to the Reborn Event and BAM!  Gifts galore!  The Reborn Event is 3 years old and they’re celebrating with us.  You don’t even need a group to get these gifts, you just purchase each one for 0L-50L.  I would say about 2/3rds of the gifts are free and then other ones are between 5L-50L and most have pictures on the outside, so you can see what you’re getting before you buy them.  Nice.  I put some of my favorites together and came out with this purple hued sparkly outfit, and I can’t believe I blogged it before Aline…. that sparkle queen 😉   Here’s what I got:

I remember when I used to think the Reborn Event was only for Reborn bodies, but I learned that’s not true long ago.  Many of the gifts and goodies are sized for other bodies, but I thought it was only right to put my Reborn on for this blog post 😉

The Reborn Event is open until November 7th, so you have some time, and a full week after Halloween if you’re too busy to go this month (I get that!)

P.S.  There are raffles upstairs for Reborn bodies and Lelutka heads, and no group is needed to enter those either!

Fabulous!  Gah, I never know what to scream 3 times so the Fab Free Shop & Hop Spreadsheet magically appears all filled in without any work.   Sigh.  Maybe one day 😉  Until then, we’re working tirelessly to be your ultimate resource for the Shop & Hops and this Halloween is no different!

Let’s BOO this!

You guys are seriously going to be amazed at all the wonderfully creative gifts this year!  I tried on a million things to pick the ones I wanted to blog first, but it was a difficult decision.  These are the gifts that won:

  • Free Bodysuit by Oh Yes (2 texture hud and sized for: Gen X Classic/Curvy, Kupra, Lara X, Legacy, Reborn Juicy/Waifu)
  • Free Antennae by CAMO
  • Free Crystal Plugs by wraith (color/metal hud sized for: all the ears (Swallow/Andore), all the sizes, male and female)

Thankfully the event is open for 4 weeks now (so until Nov 4th?) so no rush, and the redesign from last year makes it so it’s not too crowded or difficult to get into.  Just pick a SIM to start and make your way around, or pick and choose from the Fab Free Shop & Hop Spreadsheet.  The spreadsheet has tabs at the bottom so you can organize it in the manner easiest for you.

I do have a tip for the men:  go get all the unisex gifts.  There’s very few gifts that are ‘male only’ this round, but a ton of the unisex gifts are perfectly suited for all the guys out there.

The event opens to the general public at 9am SLT today. Squeals!

Stay strong, Fabbies.  Stay hydrated.  This is a lot of work, and worth every minute.

I couldn’t help it Fabbies, I’m SO READY for Spooky Season!  Reaching October is always a milestone for me, most of the really powerful hurricanes are over by then, I’ve made it through another RL birthday, and I get to pretend it’s going to cool down soon (which won’t happen but I like to believe it will).  Yes, I am always very eager to get to October.

Dark

I was motivated to make a Halloween post when I found the free gifts at Absence and Cruel, both on the same SIM and both dark and gothic stores.  I actually picked these gifts up a while ago, but the dress wasn’t in my size, so I held on to it.  Well, I busted out the Reborn body I won the other day and finally made a shape, so I could do the GhoulWaifu post, so I did this post too (and one other lol)  So, let’s talk about sizes:

  • Legacy
  • Reborn
  • Waifu

There’s also a pair of bow garters in the store for maze mods, but I only have those on my Maitreya :O  The struggle is real!  I picked up this awesome bat collar though, which is rigged, but also know the legacy size fits on my Lara X.  Don’t miss the gorgeous moth tattoo, it was covered by the dress, but I love it.  The Absence group is free to join, so all these gifts are free.

Stormy

I was so excited when I found all these accessories over at Cruel, I adore these plugs.  They’re vampire teeth and a tongue and they even have a little uvula, lol.  They are made for either S gauged or XL gauged Swallow ears and come with a color hud.

The bag I’m holding was also a gift, it has holds for right or left and a color hud to change the hearts, which, I’ll admit, you can’t see real well because of the glare on my light, oops!

Anyway, both stores are free to join so all these gifts are free to grab.  It’s never too early to prepare for Spooky Season!

‘Tis the season, as they say, except they say that in winter, mostly.  Summer is the season for someone named Beachy Piers though, so here we are back at the beach, with yet another bikini. 😉  Can’t stop, won’t stop!

Floppy Hats FTW!

I added a few accessories to my bikini look I picked up at SL21B Shop&Hop, because it’s wise to wear a sun hat when the sun is beating down on you!  As a Floridian, trust me on this. 😉   Thankfully, Bondi has an awesome sun hat in their SL21B shop, as a free gift, and it’s a fatpack too!

I also picked up these free earrings for XL Swallow Gauged ears from the Hexed shop at SL21B, because even when looking all glam and summery, I like to let a witchy side peek through.  These earrings come rigged for both men and women, and come in 3 metallic textures.

Ah, Halloween in SL. A time when group gifts become blood splattered. A time when blood and gore is widely embraced and I’m not the wierdo wearing it. There’s truly nothing like it.

A case in point is this lovely bright white dress that I’m wearing today. I quite like the contrast of the cleanness of the rest of my look against my surroundings. This dress, and another in black and orange (and sans blood), are the newest free group gift at Bipolar. Try not to think about how I could possibly stay so clean and white with blood streaming down one side, just go grab them for yourself. A Touch of Gore
