Good afternoon, FabFree Readers. As you must know by now, Tuesdays are made all the better by the 25L Tuesdays sale. I am pleased to say there is a very nice outfit for the men this week. Especially for the men who are into the Role Play side of Second Life.
This is the “Haakon” full outfit from C&N Medieval Designs. I would imagine most RPers are familiar with this long standing designer of fantasy RP clothing. Haakon is composed of 2 pieces – the tunic and the pants/boots. So you could mix the outfit with your existing costumes. Making it all the more useful. This set also comes with a blood-splattered version for your more intense RP encounters.
I’m getting ready to celebrate my 13th rezz day here in second life. (10.23) I still can’t believe it’s been 13 years! Why I was still a spring chicken back then!
How I Came to Second Life
We were in the process of selling our house and getting ready to move, and most things had been packed up, but I had my trusty little laptop. I don’t know where I was reading but I saw a mention of a virtual world called Second Life. I remember thinking, I wonder what a virtual world looks like! I had time to kill and my curiosity to lead me and in I dove.
I chose a perfectly practical name thank you, thinking that’s what you did in a virtual world (had I known better I might have called myself willowmoon or something dreamy like that.) and I’m only just checking it out anyway. I’ll probably only try it once or twice…
My earliest memories are of a lot of nekkid newbies jumping on each other and I was bemused. Little horny nekkid animated people. huh. Imagine my surprise a few days later when I realized they had anatomically correct ones too! (the boys, I mean) That was like Woah! ok then! lol
I wandered off to other areas and I found a house that was like a big log cabin and always empty so being clueless as I was, I would crash there (I was a squatter! LOL), it was so cute. I didn’t realize people had private residences, heck I dont know what I thought!
I started trying to put my avi together, back then, there were not nearly as many wonderful freebies as there are now, and what there was, wasn’t nearly as well made! (The Free Dove was actually around but it was much smaller than it is now!) I took some photos outside that house…. Want to see noob me? I warn you, it’s not pretty! But I did get myself some decent hair somehow. For back then anyway.
The grid has come a long long way since 2008 my friends. !!!!! This photo was taken right outside the cute house I used to crash in, I loved the little blanket area and the sparkly rainbows. Second Life seems so much more real now, with mesh and things look so much better!
13 Years Later!
So now lets talk about my new photo (stark contrast!!!) cause I’ve got an adorbs outfit for you from Lunar. My shorts, top and jacket are all part of the Chanty outfit which is a free group gift at Lunar (I love their stuff! I am *dying* for their Lamu Jacket in Pink!), and that group is free to join. Tomorrow I think I will check out the fab free list of rezz day gifts, I always mean to and somehow always forget its my rezz day until it passes. Not this time! I need some goodies to blog too. As if I need a reason to find freebies!

Hey FabFree! I have something kinda different for ya today. No clothes… no furniture… just three gorgeous models completely nekkid showing off their beautiful skin. Of course, I’m talking about my horses here! We’re not that kind of Blog 😉
I was recently down at the Teegle Town Mall searching for some new tack when I came across a beautiful free gift coat from Remixx and Zita inc. The “Jack frost Roan” coat show on Ingamar (far left) is simply stunning.
I also found a lovely minimal color Tovero paint coat named “Sputnik” at RMH set out as a free gift. Again, this is a great coat. The white is an almost cream color and the black spots are really coal black. It’s a very unique look!
Lastly, are you ready for some chocolate? Who isn’t? This last coat is called “Hot Chocolate” and it’s a rich chocolate brown tobiano pattern. Royal’s Customs is the designer here and be sure to take a look around the shop for the other beautiful coats.
The color and shading on each of these coats are really well done. There is a very slight seam on the two front legs but no more so than any other coat. The inside seam on the front legs is an issue on most coats, so don’t let this stop you. And, as with all Teegle coats, these coats will work on all the TeeglePet horses (with the exception of the Skeleton horse) and the Teegle avatar.
I have no idea how long any of these beauties are staying in their respective stores. So if you want them go grab ’em before they gallop off into the sunset.
Just a note… While all three coats include hoof textures, they do not include mane, tail or eye textures.
There’s not much more I love in this world than puppies and horses. Seriously, I could leave nearly all the human race behind and be on an island of puppies and horses, I would be one happy chickie! Honestly, I talk more to animals, plants and inanimate objects than I do to other people most of the time!

Anyhoo! Another thing I love is cute clothes that I can get for cheap or even better free! Today I’ve got a super cheap cute outfit for you from Cremosas Store who is one of out Fab Free designers. It is one of many in her store, this one is a romper that is overall style and soooooo cute for summertime! This cute ensemble will cost you only 25L! They do come in lots of different colors, but I chose purple.
Hey FabFree! This one is going to be quick because I’m nearly frozen here in Real Life. My look today is definitely tied to the sudden drop and forecasted SNOW here in my part of the world. Winter is making one last come back! So I donned a beautiful “Frost Fairy” get up to compliment it.
My frosty new skin is from Jeanette’s Joint and it’s the 25L Tuesday special. It comes with BoM layers, a Maitreya appliers and and Omega applier. I found them to work perfectly. There is also a men’s skin available for the Special sale. JJ does beautiful work and the cold coming off this skin is palpable. The skin comes in a modest and an explicit version. Plus, there’s a packet for ‘frost breath’ in the box too!

Hello, FabFree! I know Christmas is over but a bunch of designers have left their gifts out for us slowpokes to pick up. Like one of my absolute favorites – Teegle. You know I love my Teeglepets and I’m always on the look out for new gear for them. So I was thrilled when I found the loaded Christmas tree at the Teegle main store was still up.
There is a ton of freebies under the Teegle tree but this on is just so special. This is the Snow Drifter Sleigh from Out on a Whim. This classic Cutter Sleigh comes in several versions. One for Horse avatars, one for Teeglepets, one for wearable horses, even one for just display. It’s a beautiful build and I am just so excited to hook Mystic up and go dashing through the snow!
Now, I do NOT know how much longer the gifts will be available over at Teegle. So get over there and scoop ’em up while you can. Even if you don’t want this sleigh, there are tons of other goodies. Like blankets, tack and skins for your ponies!

This is the latest gorgeous coat for the Teeglepet by The Flying Pony. I may have LoLed for real when I saw the name… ‘That Butt’! I love appaloosas from the bottom of my heart so I had to pick this one up and show it off. The coat features a perfect deep bay and white pattern called a ‘blanket’ and scattered spots. Like everything for The Flying Pony, this coat is simply beautiful. If you are riding horses in Second Life… you need to get to know The Flying Pony! I took a walk around the Wash this evening and all I can say is wow! We have some truly fantastic designers this time around and they have pulled out all the stops for us.
I think I mentioned that since I got a new home here in SL I have been all about the decorating. I’m happy to say that there are a bunch of décor Carts for me to shop. First of those is Living Vintage Southern.
In Real Life, one of my passions is horses. My Mom swears my first word was “Pony!” But living in the big city like I do, I can’t have any ponies right now. So Second Life steps up to my rescue. Living Southern Vintage is offering three beautiful black horses for my garden. These are static critters but that just means they take a great picture. 😉 I added my little golden Lab puppy and this is my version of a perfect afternoon.
