Heyya FabFree! I hope your Wednesday is simply wonderful. Mine was busy busy. Here on the Grid and in Real Life. But at least here on the Grid I got to wear a brand new slinky dress! And everyone loves a slinky dress. 😉

My latest addition to my *LBD collection is the slinky “Ms Kitty” from Mia Styles. It’s just one of a wall full of Group Gifts waiting for you. There is a tiny 10L fee to join but, heck, I’d pay 10L just for this lovely lacy dress! Now I have a ton of lacy things in the closet and very few of them have as nice a lace pattern application as this one. Just a really well built dress all the way around. It’s perfect for that date night or a night on the town with the girls!

Madpea has amazingly opened up the Spellbound Game/Hunt to everyone for FREE! You have until Dec. 12 to unlock the mystery surrounding a magical school and the secrets behind the shadows within. You will need to grab their Madpeas group (Group Is FREE} at the Spellbound main area, While wearing the group tag, grab the Spellbound Hud and Wand.

While the items are amazing and FREE (after completing the game) I was stuck a couple of times with their puzzles and if you complete the game/quest/hunt without going MAD (pun intended) I bow to you!

Grab a partner, head off for the day (it will take about 8 hours if you are decent at challenges and puzzles) with your wand, broom and witches hat for an adventure that will have you laughing until you cry.

When you finish the entire Spellbound game you will be directed to the Prize Room where you can collect all your Free Prizes

I’m sure you’re all aware at this point that August is soon coming to a close, and with it it shall take the summer (for the most part…September can still be a scorcher where I am!).  I’m enjoying every minute of those precious rays by strolling down the beach and probably wearing stuff that would make me sweaty in RL.  But you know my SL body doesn’t come with sweat glands, so it’s all good!

A Huge Hat is What You Need

There are so many great gifts at The Hair Fair, I’m sure you’ve been reading all about the goodness here on Fab Free.  I found a fun accessory at the Iconic booth – this enormous chapeau that flops ever so alluringly.  It comes with an extensive HUD to change to a whole host of tropical looks, but I kept it pretty basic with black trim and a cute saying.  And oh, yes.  it’s FREE!

She Still Shines

I have been in a bit of a latex mood recently, and though you might not normally wear this fabric to stroll on the sand, I say just go for it.  I picked up this slinky little dress over at Beauty Factory.  I joined their group for 99L and it was all mine.  There are several other great gifts there too, so the join fee is beyond worth it.  The Vanjie dress comes in both pink and black and is a whole lotta fun. I’ve included the vendor pic below so you can easily see all the details.

Hello Fab Free’rs, this post is going to be a little bit different in that it’s all about the new male head gift at Akeruka, and a new group gift couples pose at WRONG rather than ladies fashion. Thankfully I have this handsome gentleman of mine here to help. The Akeruka head wouldn’t look even half as good on me as it does on him! Keep reading, and I’ll share more about each of these fantastic group gifts.

That face! The Akeruka Clay head is the latest group gift for Akeruka group members. This male head is a full Akeruka Deluxe mesh bento head complete with animations. Also included with this gift is the Akeruka skin in multiple tones with facial hair options, and body appliers for Slink (Omega), Signature (Omega), and Belleza bodies. The Akeruka group has a one time join fee of 150 linden. To get yours you will need to wear your Akeruka group tag, and pay the gift vendor 1 linden. This gift will be available until July 6th. The pose Blue so patiently sat in with me while I took this photo is a free group gift at WRONG. There are actually several group gifts at WRONG, and the store group is free to join. I like the potential narrative this pose lends itself to. The pose is named “You Know Everything” which I also liked. It’s true, Blue pretty much knows everything. This free group gift at WRONG includes individual his and hers poses, along with a cool modern chair to pose in. Proper Pinup

Welcome to the blog Fab Free! It was a warm bright sunny day for me in Second Life today, and I felt every bit a proper pinup girl at the beach. To get the look I had some help from a few of the many free gifts in the shopping regions of the Second Life 16th Birthday event. I picked up what felt like a metric ton of freebies, however for this post I want to share with you the SL16B gifts by Narcisse, ICONIC, and Pyscho Byts.

First, the bright red polka dotted monokini is the SL16B gift by Narcisse. It comes in this single color, and is fit for Maitreya Lara only. To get yours, all you need to do is head over to the Narcisse shop in the SL16B Aurelian region and pick it up for free.

Next up, the long side swept hairstyle is the free SL16B gift by ICONIC. It comes in a fatpack of colors, and has a style hud that lets you flip the hair so it’s either over the left shoulder or the right. You’ll find it waiting for free at the ICONIC shop in SL16B’s Tinseled Region.

Finally, the reason for the trio of photos is to show you 3 of the 6 static poses in the “Lili” pose set by Psycho Byts. Each of the six poses is in what I would call a pinup style. The set has individual poses, and a pose hud. This set is one of 2 free gift pose sets by Psycho Byts just waiting to be picked up at SL1B’s Golden region.

Maybe I’ve watched too many romantic comedies, or read too many cheesy love stories, but I’ve been daydreaming about a romantic summer getaway lately. My Own World

Panic Mode

I woke up this morning with a touch of “holiday panic.” You know, that feeling you get when the holidays are creeping up on you waaaay too fast. Your heart starts racing, you feel like you can’t breathe… you break out in a cold sweat. Yeah. It seems like summer was just starting… and now it’s almost Thanksgiving. 😮

I headed out in search of a quiet place to collect my thoughts and wound up on the couch at a coffee bar on the Oh Deer sim. A couple of lattes and some smooth jazz later, I think I might be kinda-sorta-maybe ready to tackle the holidays.

Or maybe I’ll just start with a turkey and see how it goes.

A Sweater and Leather

Before running off in a coffee panic, I managed to get myself dressed in the latest group gift from Ghee. The Ombre Sweater and Leather Pants duo come in the following sizes:

  • Fitmesh standard XXS-L with alpha layers

A texture-change HUD is included so you can choose from brown, black, burgundy, and blue ombre for the sweater, and the same colors (without the ombre) for the pants.

Since the sweater is cropped, and I was cold thanks to the snow and all, I added a tank top underneath. I picked up the Enora tanks by Edenia on the Marketplace for 1L and used the included appliers for Maitreya. Check out Pru’s post HERE to see what they look like without a sweater.

To “top” things off, I added a cute hat. You can pick up this derby – as well as a baseball cap, felt hat, and Homburg hat – as a free gift from ICONIC at HairOLogy. I didn’t realize how pretty it was until I turned on my windlight and saw the lovely textures!

Each hat comes with a HUD containing several colors (varies by hat), and all are resizeable from the HUD. I’m sure they would also look great on the guys.

Ok, now that I’m all latte’d up, I think I’m ready to brave Costco to do some shopping. Until next time! 😀
