Yo Fabs!
It’s that time again! There’s a new edition of L’Homme Magazine out, and you know what that means, it means free gifts! L’Homme Magazine highlights men in Second Life, it has fantastic articles and photographs from across the grid. Each quarter, a new edition releases, and some of the sponsors will place gifts out in their store for the L’Homme group, which is free to join.
Dare to be square
I picked this song to title my blog post because at least 2 of these free gifts have me thinking inside the box! I’m wearing 3 free gifts from L’Homme this round:
- Free Sweater from IMPACTS (sized for: Jake, Legacy/Athletic, Gianni, Aesthetic, Kario Fit with a 7 color hud)
- Free Glasses from L’Emporio&PL (resizable, with metal and color hud)
- Free Piercing from Valhalla (resizable with metal hud)
In each issue there’s a page in the magazine that lists the stores providing gifts this round. I found it on pages 22-23 in this issue. When you join the free L’Homme Readers group in world, however, there’s a notecard in notices that has an easier to read list 😉
I’m going to mention the hair I’m wearing in this picture again, because it’s free. I think it’s our blogger Gabe’s go-to hairstyle even, but somehow I missed getting it into Fab Free’s 2024 Hair Round Up. This is Knox, and it’s a hairstyle from Exile. Knox is a group gift, and the Exile group is free to join, so make sure you’ve got this one in your inventory! It has a duo color hud, meaning most of the hud colors are a mix and match (black and white, black and blue, blonde and pink). I would have gone with black and white, but I looked so much like Gabe, I picked the black and silver which is much closer to my normal salt & pepper.

Santa Stole My Lady
Well, Beachy’s out here making me work overtime because of an actual abundance of men’s gifts on the grid right now. I don’t mind, you ladies usually have something nice to say about my posts, and who doesn’t like a little ego pumping? 😉 Especially after Santa steals your girl! Do you really wonder why I have trouble getting into the holiday spirit now?
Suave
I don’t know what Santa has over me, I’m looking pretty suave right now, mostly thanks to some great free gifts I picked up. Let’s start where there’s the most work. Menselected has a holiday round that started, so they’ve provided gifts for everyone, yes! You need the free ManlySL group to pick them up. I came home with a bunch of gifts but am showing you two of them today:
- Free Jeans from IMPACTS (Fatpack hud, sized for Aesthetic, Jake, Davis, Geralt, Gianni, Kario Fit/Flat/Flex, Legacy)
- Free Boots from GARBO (sized for Jake, Kario. Legacy, Gianni)
The jeans are a fatpack and come with a bunch of regular denim textures along with other not so common denim textures. I like the color sheen version I’m wearing here, a little trendy and grungy, perfect!
The Menselected event is open until January 3rd, so plenty of time to get over there and pick up your gifts and do a little shopping.
Toasty
For the 2nd year in a row now, Gabriel has put out a very nice winter coat as a group gift for the holidays, and I like this routine! The Fleece Half Coat is the recent gift, and it’s so very nice. The coat comes in 3 colors and 2 designs, it has a sweater insert that comes in 3 colors and it has a separate scarf with a fatpack of solid and plaid textures for you to choose from. It’s also unisex! It comes sized for:

Lost In My Mind
Everyone needs to take time now and again to contemplate and reflect on life. I needed such a moment this week, and took it. There’s no better place to sit and figure things out than an ode to your childhood, where you felt warm and loved and problem-free. Ah, a tire swing.
I still look cool tho
Because of course I do. Even when you’re inside your own head, it’s good to reflect being put together well on the outside 😉 I had help this time from L’Homme Magazine. This men’s magazine comes out quarterly, and the group is free to join. There’s both a page in the magazine and a notecard in the group notices that tells you which stores have gifts to celebrate this edition. I picked mine up and promptly put myself together. These are some of the gifts I brought home:
- Free Jacket from IMPACTS (sized for: Jake, Gianni, Legacy, Aesthetic, Kario with a FP hud of textures)
- Free Glasses from BONDI (full color and metal hud)
- Free Earrings from MadRat (for Swallow S gauged ears with a metal hud)
These free gifts usually stay out until the next edition of the magazine is released, which is quarterly, so for once, there’s no rush. I would suggest joining the group right away and grabbing the NC in notices, because it’s much easier to read than the magazine page when it comes time to collect your gifts.
Male-centric
In addition to the gifts I listed above (in which I think the jacket actually says “The Men” on the sleeves) there are 2 free gifts I found over at the newest round of the Manhood Event. The group to pick up these gifts is free to join, and you can bring home these great pants from [Gild]. They have a tight cuff at the ankle and are a nice slim fit while not being skin tight.
The Manhood Event is open until November 21st.

Dare To Be Stupid
OK my friends, I’ve got a lot for you packed into one post, so pay attention! Sometimes I have items I just can’t use until I find something to match with it, and that’s the case today – so you’ll find these gifts in a bunch of places, but at least you’ll get out on the grid 😉 …. and also, you’ve got to be quick about it.
Daring
I like to dabble on the side of danger, so it seemed apropos to light a joint upon exiting the jail …. I mean, seems OK if I’m somewhere it’s legal. 😉 I picked up some gifts over at the MIIX Event, and you only have a few days to get them yourself. The MIIX Event is open until August 20th, so get a move on!
- Free Joggers from FurtaCor (with boxer hud – sized for Jake, Legacy and Signature)
- Free Coffee by Impacts (with texture hud)
Now, you’ll need 2 different free groups for these gifts. The joggers are on the main MIIX advertising panel for the FurtaCor Men’s group. The joiner is right next to the gift and the group is free to join.
There’s other gifts in the booths at the MIIX Event, which require the Hype Events group. I found this coffee in the IMPACTS booth. You can also join that group from the advertising panel for free. There’s a few things for men around in different booths, grab them and check them out.
A continuance
Last week, I blogged a gift from the most recent edition of L’Homme Magazine and I’ve a few more to show you this week. My glasses were a free gift from Bondi, they come with a full frame and lens color hud, and I like these a lot.
I also added this bracelet I picked up at Real Evil, the peace bracelet, because despite my daring attitude, a little peace could do me some good.

My Boy Likes To Party
Hey Fabs! This blogger life is being good to me. I get new dope clothes for free, and now that I look good, I have a social life and get invited to some parties even. They may not be the fanciest parties, but they are parties nonetheless 😉
I picked up more great free gifts recently – in different places. You have a week to get this first one so let’s start there. This open sided hoodie from Kiki KaiKai is a gift over at Alpha. He’s got 5 or 6 colors there, all various shades white to black and you can buy each one for 1L, so really a dollarbie, but almost free. No group is necessary for these gifts either. Bonus. Kiki KaiKai is such a generous store. The hoodie comes sized for Belleza Jake and Legacy but for 1L is worth trying on other bodies. Alpha is open until July 17th, so head on over to the Kiki KaiKai booth and grab your new gift! Alpha is open until the 17th of July.
All-Nighter
Well, 2AM at least. 2AM is the time the bars close and most parties start to break up, and it’s also a store here in SL with a free join and some group gifts! That’s where I found my hat and my shoes. I dig this hat, it’s down over my eyes and no one can make eye contact with me, heh. It comes in both black and white and is resize able to fit any head.
My shoes are froggy slides and they come with a full color hud and are unisex! I’m a fan of silly shoes – you all saw those cow slippers I blogged a few weeks ago 😉 These slides come sized for:

Pork And Beans
‘Sup peeps! I’m feeling pretty comfortable in this blogging gig, I got 2 posts behind me and I think I’m a natural 😉 I’m sure Beachy will have some kind of critique for me but I can roll my eyes just as well as she can.
She sent me over to the MIIX Event to pick up the mens’ gifts, and there are a decent amount. You need to join the free HYPE Events group to pick up the gifts. I’m wearing 2 of them in today’s post:

I hear there’s over 80 gifts at the MIIX event, probably 10 or so are for men, but every little gift helps, hey? The MIIX Event closes on April 20th (more about that in Beachy’s post I’m sure 😜) so you’ve got time, even if you’re a last minute kind of guy.

I had to go searching for a shirt and shoes to wear with these pants and hat, and I lucked out over at Treized, where they had BOTH of the items I needed as group gifts. Poor Vinny seems to have misplaced his car! Any volunteers ready to embark on a mission to help him find it? (We’re not entirely convinced he’s looked everywhere…but shh. don’t tell him we said that!)
