Pink on Ice

Hi Fabulous Readers!  We’re popping in quickly to share an outfit we created with hunt prizes from the XOXO Hunt.  We found them all at the Violet Skies store.  The tricky part is that the Hunt was supposed to end on February 10th.  The prizes are still available at the time of posting, so if you like them, hurry to the shop!

Sweet Valentina

Each of the clothing items I’m wearing (including the jacket and boots) are all individual prizes that cost just 25L$ each.  All you need to do is locate the hunt objects (a yellow heart with a pink ribbon) scattered throughout the Violet Skies shop.  You can wear the items altogether as I have done, or independently.  The Olina Valentine collection features a pink henley top with delicate buttons, a cropped white puffer vest with an oversized plush collar, sassy pink shorts with a white belt, sheer tights, and pink lace-up boots.  Together, these five hunt prizes create a whimsical ensemble full of Valentine’s Day charm.

Gus and I decided to check out the Love is All You Need Hunt.  This event runs through February 28th and centers around the theme of Love, Romance, and Valentine’s.  Since the hunt prizes only cost 1L$, it’s very budget-friendly!  You’ll be searching for a red heart concealed in each store.  Over at Lindy Modern and Retro Shoes, I picked up this bright red pair of Seren pumps.  Their leather was the ideal shade to coordinate with my new dress, and it has a subtle sheen that I love.  The mid-height heels are dressy, but low enough to wear all day in comfort.  To scoop up a pair for yourself, you need only locate the heart hidden in the shop and pay the 1L$ prize fee.

Talk LessI kept thinking that this picture would be really boring as I was making it, but I couldn’t bring myself to add anything else to it. To me, each thing that I’m wearing is so beautifully made that it’s not boring it all. I quite love the sweet simplicity of it. Or maybe I’m just boring, what do I know.

Let’s Fifty

The weekend brings with it my favorite sale of the week and woo it’s a good one this week. I’m talking about Fifty Linden Fridays and I’m wearing two things from the sale. First, there’s this dress by Pixicat. It’s a timeless design and perfect execution, for only 50L. Included is the dress with a HUD of three patterns to choose from and in sizes for:

The other FLF item that I’m showing today is from Glam Affair. I love Glam Affair almost as much as I love Fifty Linden Fridays, and this week does not disappoint. You must demo this face, I was even more wowed by the demo than I was by the vendor image. There are two separate packs to pick from, one is all of the even numbered skin tones and the other is the odd number skin tones. I went with Pack 2 because it was the evens and my normal Glam Affair shade is 008. For 50L I got a giant fatpack of half of the skin tones plus bunches of makeup and brow options.

Skinned

In other exciting news, there is a free gift card at Akeruka, more commonly known as AK. You’ll see a black 1000L gift card on the wall, that you just need to click on while wearing your AK group tag. If you’re not already in the group it will cost you 150L to join, but it’s a good one with lots of high value gifts such as this free 1000L gift card and free heads. When you click the card on the wall you’ll get a folder in your inventory – attach the giftcard from that folder and click on it to add the 1000L to your balance. This is for face skins, not body skins, and from what I saw those generally cost 750L per skin tone. So. it’s a free 1.25 face skins. Yup, I did the math. I picked out the lovely skin that I’m wearing here, but you get to try on some demos and pick out whichever face skin strikes your fancy, for free! I found one that I love, I bet you will too.

Fashion Flair From a Comfy Chair

Winter Wonderland Vibes
Happy Monday, Fab Free!  Gus and I spent some time lounging on a cozy armchair this weekend and came away with this fabulous outfit for free.  Let’s skip right to the details!

I “Spotted” This One Right Away

Over at the Luna Chelsea Creations sim, there’s a room dedicated to lucky chairs and camping spots.  As soon as I entered, I saw the Ciarra Outfit camping couch over in the corner, and I knew she had to be mine!  This free prize includes the off-the-shoulder tied top, sleek trousers, as shown in my photo, and a texture HUD.  The cropped blouse is definitely the star of the show.  It features extra-long sleeves to keep your arms covered, a playful, wrapped design, and soft, fluid ties that drape naturally.  The pants hug your curves, emphasize your waist with crisscrossed strings, and have slightly flared bottoms that add a relaxed finish.  I opted to go with a black and white pattern on the blouse and plain black trousers, but with the enclosed HUD, you can select from 15 solid colors or 15 polka-dotted options for both the top and bottoms.  To pick up the Ciarra set for yourself, must be a member of the Luna Chelsea Creations group (it’s completely free to join), and you’ll also need a spare hour to spend chilling on the comfy chair.  Now that sounds like a big chunk of time, but I just let SL run in the background while I watched a couple of YouTube videos, and the time passed quickly.  I’m planning to head back soon to try to win some of the lucky chair prizes.

Rosy Lips

While browsing the Marketplace, I came across the Rosea Lipstick pack for EvoX from Eris Cosmetics for just 1L$.  This HUD features 9 glossy options ranging from nude to noir.  I sometimes have trouble finding a lipstick add-on that matches the shape and contour of my lips, but this set was perfect.  With so many shades to choose from, the Rosea Lipstick collection will be a versatile addition to my SL makeup kit.  It’s practically a steal for just 1 Linden dollar!

Since you can wear the top and trousers separately, this outfit is sure to be a multi-seasonal styling option for me.  I can see pairing the top with a plain maxi or mini skirt or a pair of shorts in warmer weather.  Until our next post, happy shopping!

Snowbound in a Fairy Tale

Hello there, Fab Free!  Gus and I hit some weekend sales today, and also picked up a cute tattoo as a dollarbie hunt prize.  My canine sidekick was not happy that I cropped him out of today’s photos, but I gave him a crunchy bone, promised him he’d be in my next post, and all is forgiven.  Phew!

Snowy Tendrils

If you haven’t checked out the Snowbound Hunt, there’s still a little time left to explore.  You’ll be searching for ornaments hidden throughout the sim – and oh, what a beautifully decorated sim it is!  Gus and I thoroughly enjoyed our time there.  One of our favorite hunt prizes is the Warm Snow Tattoo that I’m wearing in the photo.  Just beneath each eye, delicate white, snowflake-like details add a whimsical, almost frosted touch.  There’s even a sprinkling of powdered snow on my nose, although it’s hard to see in the picture.  I feel like a fairy tale character when I’m wearing it.  The best part is, it only costs 1L$, plus the time spent searching around the sim.  It’s the 2nd prize offered by Adore&Abhor, and it’s so cute!  If you like this facial tattoo as much as I do, don’t delay because the hunt only runs through January 18th.

I found this delicate, feminine shirt at Riot for just 50L$ as part of the Fifty Linden Fridays sale.  The Maple Sateen Tank Top is available in two color packs:  the “Cottage Core” that I’m wearing and a “Silly Goose” version that has a cute striped option.   She features slender shoulder straps, airy lace trim, and a vintage-inspired floral pattern.  A texture HUD with six romantic prints to choose from allows you to customize the fabric.  A separate HUD will enable you to customize the lace trim with 54 colors to choose from.    I’m looking forward to wearing this beautiful top without a jacket when spring rolls around.  Like the hunt, the Fifty Linden Fridays sale only runs through Sunday, so if you fancy the Maple Sateen Tank for your inventory, don’t delay!

Look Around, Look Around

Look Around, Look AroundBuckle up, we’re going all over the place today. I’m feeling Jolly AF and there’s just no time to waste! Christmas is in less than two weeks, but there’s an enormous snowstorm coming tomorrow so I’m going nowhere. Yes, there are things that I had planned to do, but now I plan on being snowed in and that is a much cozier plan in my opinion.

Jolly AF

Yes, I said it, I’m jolly AF. There’s a new event that started today, called TSS Unwrapped. The idea is that it’s a bunch of your favorite The Saturday Sale creators offering affordable transfer items for gift giving. But I Scrooged up this mug all for myself and I regret nothing. I got it for 59L at ChicChica and it just looks so jolly and yummy. Whether you get it for yourself or as a gift, it should certainly be on your shopping list. This is an instore event so you’ll go to each store to check out their item, and the whole thing lasts until December 26.

Can’t Resist

It’s Friday so obviously that means that I couldn’t resist some FLF shopping, and also I can never resist great hair so here we are. The cute do I’m wearing here is by Wasabi and it’s 50L for this weekend’s Fifty Linden Fridays sale. The one purchase gets you bunches of HUDs for many sizes and colors.

And last but not least, I’m showing off a free Advent gift. I have barely done any Advent Calendars this month, which makes sense because I have barely been on SL this month, but today WellMade had the exact dress I needed for the look I was going for. How great is this dress? It is today’s free Advent calendar gift at WellMade. It even includes a HUD with a fatpack of color options for both the sweater and the shirt underneath, making it super versatile and not just for Christmasy looks.
