Yesterday evening, as I was busily becoming one with my couch, I found some episodes of an old show I used to watch (yes, vampires were involved… it was the mid 2000s…), and that kinda put me in the  mood for a bit of nostalgia.  That means a little schoolgirl skirt and some old technology.

Nostalgia Time

The latest gacha from Dots is super cute, and I really couldn’t pass it up.  Either I have extremely good luck, or I just happen to always get several of the rares on the Dots gachas… either way, not complaining.  This one, which is chock full of late 90’s goodies, can be found at Kustom9 and is just 59L per pull!  I won the video game and also the bracelets I’ve got on (though I won a bunch of the others too!).  So awesome.

You Should See Your FacesI’m still gathering up the free gifts from all of the amazing events that are going on around the grid before they wrap up. Today I visited Kustom9 and I came away with so many fantastic free things!

You already have seen a few blog posts featuring the current round of Kustom9 and with good reason! But did you know that the event ends in only a few short days? Better get to it. For today’s blog post I’m just showing off a few gifts that I love. They don’t necessarily go together but they’re great pieces that I can see myself using again and again. Free from Kustom9:

RL today was a little bit of une pile d’ordure as one might say.  That’s ok.  It’s done for me now, and I can slide into SL where I’m a magical being who can hex anyone who dares put macaroni and cheese in with my book collection.  Please don’t ask, but yes… it’s a thing that happened to me today.

Heyya Fab Fam! I don’t know about y’all but Mondays always make me think of school. Whether it was high school or University… just school days. I guess it sorta makes sense. But as I was looking at freebies and fun stuff this weekend, I saw these 2 free gifts at Kustom 9 and i thought, “Perfect for school on Monday!” And here we are.

My cute new orange jacket and tee look like I borrowed from my High School sweetheart, don’t they? But really I got ’em for free from Wazzerworks at the Kustom 9 event. I hadn’t heard of Wazzerworks before but this gift is so fun and so well made I’m happy to make the acquaintance! The “Varsity Bomber Jacket” comes in the orange and white jacket and a HUD to change the tee underneath to 1 of 19 colors as well as 6 button colors and a hide/show.

Here’s the situation… I have no heat on yet in RL (don’t ask… ) and it is quiiiiite chilly in my place.  I’m trying to find ways to keep warm, with plenty of sweaters, slippers, space heaters and the lot.  Clearly this method has not extended to SL, where virtual me is wafting about in scraps of fabric.  She looks good though, doesn’t she?

So Halloween is right around the corner, and I keep seeing everyone donning their jeans and sweaters and boots and hats for the cooler weather.  You might notice my big smile 😉  It’s the one I get when I realize I can wear shorts and dresses year round (and still add boots and a hat if I want).  Lucky for me, Kustom 9 is having a 10th birthday, and they had plenty of free gifts I can use year round.  Plus, I adopted a new friend ♥
